You were 8 at the oldest when it was SROS... you're basing your opinion off of rides from when you were 8? Never mind that have ridden a suspiciously large amount of coasters for a 16 year-old...

EDIT: Oh, I see now, you haven't ridden all of these coasters. This thread is supposed to be based off of personal experience, not prediction of quality.

Haha I love how carowinds gets to be seperated into the 2 Carolinas. If a coaster went in both states, I guess you could say its the best coaster in both states

This is only including coasters that I've been on; there are some states where I'm reasonably certain that I haven't been on the best coaster (Florida and Missouri). I'll name a runner-up if it's worth mentioning.

California: Twisted Colossus (Runner Up: X2)

Connecticut: Boulder Dash (Runner Up: Wooden Warrior)

Florida: The Incredible Hulk

Indiana: The Voyage

Kentucky: Lightning Run (Runner Up: Storm Chaser)

Massachusetts: Wicked Cyclone

Missouri: American Thunder (Runner Up: The Boss)

New Jersey: El Toro

New York: Cyclone

Ohio: Maverick (Runner Up: Diamondback, Magnum XL-200)

Pennsylvania: Skyrush

Virginia: Apollo's Chariot (Runner Up: Alpengeist)

Updated:

Arkansas: Nothing, they are all bad. X Coaster hurts the least

California: Twisted Colossus

Florida: Kumba

Illinois: Goliath, still kinda meh

Indiana: Voyage, duh

Kentucky: Storm Chaser

Missouri: Outlaw Run

Ohio: Maverick

Texas: Superman Krypton Coaster only because the two RMCs were closed

Wisconsin: Cyclops. Hades360 is the most painful coaster even though I've ridden like 10 Golden Horse coasters

International:

China: Viper or Python in Bamboo Forest

Hong Kong: Space Mountain and Wild West Mine Train tied

Japan: Dodonpa

Malaysia: Euro Express

Heading to Tennessee's Dollywood next month.

Best coaster I've ridden in all categories, airtime, inversions, curves, feel, fun, pacing: Dominator. 2nd: Storm runner

Specialization allowed:

VA: I305

PA: Lightning Racer (pre-Skyrush)

NJ: The Great Nor'easter (original version, never ridden without a 270 lb. co-rider making our car's resonance frequency different than most or all others)(best setting EVER since aimed the right direction)

MD: tie, Wild one, Superman, RoaR

SC: Thunder Road, terrible, RIP

NC: Hurler, now trimmed ~= RIP

Nevada: Speed the ride, RIP, although Manhattan express is under-rated (should be 5 not -1000 out of 10)

Obviously, I haven't been back to some of the parks in these states I've been to recently!

Also, I think I actually prefer Volcano: The Blast Coaster over Apollo's Chariot, when it comes to Virginia coasters.

Gonna do the ones I actually can say for sure (since usually I don't like ranking coasters)

Netherlands: Goliath - Walibi

UK: Nemesis - Alton Towers

Finland: Tornado - Särkänniemi (Idk about Powerpark since im not bothered to drive some 5 hours)

Sweden: A lot of people would say Helix, but honestly the most fun I've had on a rollercoaster was Twister at Gröna lund and Jetline is still one of the most intense coasters I've been on.

Germany: Taron - Phantasialand
