gerstlaueringvar
^ My head hurt, just reading that. Only head? I remember the pain on my eyes, my cheek, my neck, my ribs, my stomach, my lap, my feet... And my soul. Any information of which train manufacturer is hired for this coaster? PTC's are still installing in Chinese market but Timberliners are getting expansion in US and Europe.
GigaG
Is Hades 360 really as bad as some make it seem? I went on it in 2008 as the original Hades - I don't remember much, but I didn't particularly hate it (my mom did.) Of course, it didn't have much time to rot back then. Zeus was much worse to me. What's worse - Hades 360 or Mean Streak (the crappy woodie that I'm most familiar with.) In comparison, Hades360-Zeus is like Mean Streak-Outlaw Run. And Hades360-Mean Streak is like Ninja SFStL-Gatekeeper Ninja SFStL? Never been on it, how bad is it?

I always thought of the SFStL Ninja as an Arrow looper, even though it was finished by Vekoma. Did Vekoma really mess up the ride that much compared to a "normal" Arrow looper? Compare with all Arrow coasters I've been on except for some horrible mine trains, I would say yes. Has the layout of this coaster came out yet? IrishCasual
Tayto Park has just released 2 Artist Impression photo's on how the ride might look. Looks nice IMO: And Hopefully it does end up looking like that. Pretty sweet. Edited October 22, 2017 by IrishCasual
scbt
Looks nice, I doubt those are the actual trains though. They look a lot like B&M sit down trains. Edit: Those Dragon Khan's trains photoshopped in.
rcjp
^Yeah they haven't really bothered with the trains on those drawings. Looks nice!
BDG
Good news everyone! http://www.meathchronicle.ie/news/roundup/articles/2014/07/02/4031258-giant-new-coaster-gets-goahead-at-tayto-park/ Planning permission has been granted for the massive extension to the Tayto Park facility near Ashbourne, which was Ireland’s sixth most popular paid attraction last year, with 435,000 visitors. The roller coaster alone will cost €8.5 million and will be the centrepiece of a development which will include new rides, a new entrance and additional parking and facilities on an 18.1 hectares site. And some images not yet posted in this thread: http://137.191.237.9/iDocsWeb/listFiles.aspx?catalog=planning&id=DA140179
A.J.
That looks fun. Nothing super-crazy, just a good old-fashioned wooden coaster.
coasterchitchat
That looks fun. Nothing super-crazy, just a good old-fashioned wooden coaster. Yep. I nice old fashioned woodie to get the park on the map. And Ireland in general.
PaTim
Nice layout, nothing fancy but since it's TGG it will most likely pack a nice punch. Hopefully they will use Timberliners.
Shavethewhales
This is the type of layout that will look a lot better in reality than on paper. It looks low and spread out, which emphasizes speed and laterals. It reminds me of Kentucky Rumbler. I kind of miss the iconic parabolic hills that used to be the cornerstone of classic coaster design. Technically they make for bad pacing, but I enjoy a few nice drops here and there even if it does break the rhythm. This ride kind of exemplifies modern coaster design in that there's a lot of effort put into the flow of elements rather that singular hills and drops. I'm kind of wondering how it will compare to White Lightning, which is similar in size but a different take on the classic/modern wooden coaster design. gerstlaueringvar
I kind of think that Gravity Group's designs are becoming more GCIish these days. The layout looks awesome but I was hoping for more big hills like those on Voyage and Fireball.

jedimaster1227
Looks like a fun ride! I was genuinely surprised that there weren't any major theme parks in Ireland... I'm glad to see that this is being built--a step in the right direction.
YOLO
^Now we just need to get a big coaster in Mississippi (there is only 1 kiddie coaster) I knew about Tayto Park before this project, and it always looked like a nice, layed back, overall fun park. Kind of like Knoebels but with a huge potato mascot. I hope to get a virtual POV, It's a little hard to tell from the sides of the renderings. I think it looks perfect for the park though, but not quite enough to book my flight to Ireland.
ZeroGravity55
I'm glad to see TGG has finally landed a full-sized coaster project outside of China.
Moose
^Their first major coasters were in the US and not in China. Personally I think they should stick with kiddie coasters. I'm not convinced they know how to build a full sized coaster that doesn't destroy itself.
