markysharky17
WoW! This is just pure awesomeness! I wonder what type of coaster Intamin will use for this.
rcjp
WoW! This is just pure awesomeness! I wonder what type of coaster Intamin will use for this. Me too! Maybe they'll do something new, who knows. This was a very surprising "twist".
The Great Zo
A roller coaster and a drop ride on the same tower? Glad this isn't being built in New Jersey.
robbalvey
WoW! This is just pure awesomeness! I wonder what type of coaster Intamin will use for this. If I had to guess something very short-trained Maverick style, perhaps?
nannerdw
"flush against the inside of the tower facing outwards looking at the Skyscraper track." That's going to be amazing
MagnumFreak25
Let's just all hope they run at the same time. I'm really wondering what Intamin will do for trains too, I'm guessing they'll have to return to the olden days of 4 wide or it will take a huge capacity hit. Unless they redesign the ride a longer train won't work so well.
SharkTums
These Intamin trains made some really sharp maneuvers!
Woodie Warrior
So was S&S never involved in the first place? I'm confused. Either way, this project is sounding amazing! Can we please have the world's tallest wooden coaster wrapping around the entire complex next? Supplied by Intamin, of course.
COASTER FREAK 11
These Intamin trains made some really sharp maneuvers! BAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHAHAHAAHAHAHA! You are Derek are so cute
Gutterflower
Sadly I can't watch the video but that's an interesting twist. I swear i remember S&S guys specifically talking about this ride specifically. But maybe I'm just getting confused/going mad (It happens). Sounds like a good change though. Especially with the drop tower included. The proximity of the ride supports to the drop tower should give a great sense of speed.
camthedominator
Yeah, I could definitely see a next generation version of those being used. If they do use 2 across trains, I too think that they would use maverick style trains. By the way, does anyone think that they might use lap bars instead of OTSR's. I guess that in the long run, lap bars seem like a better decision...
coasterer22
Just when I thought this project couldn't get any better, it does. Seriously, I'm looking more and more forward to Skyplex with each announcement that's made. Surprised to see that S&S has nothing to do with the project, but have nothing against Intamin building the coaster. I wonder what the future announcements will reveal... camthedominator
I take comfort in the fact that Intamin will still have the worlds tallest drop tower and roller coaster. I guess the inner Intamin fan boy is freaking out right now. This does present the question, what in the would will a 123 degree Intamin drop look like? WFChris
It would kind of be a dream come true for me to see a Flashback train slogging around on that track. I'd buy tickets to Orlando immediately!

camthedominator
I think it would be hilarious seeing those clunky old things bumbling along the track. It would be like watching a roller coaster enthusiast trying belle.(just kidding )

CaptainUnknown
And with the sheer height of the tower, the coaster could easily be one of the longest in the world.

larrygator
And with the sheer height of the tower, the coaster could easily be one of the longest in the world. I don't see that happening.
BlahBlahson
Really interesting. The ride was essentially a huge El Loco it seemed, now Intamin will be building an entirely new (or oooooooold-school refreshed) design for them I guess? I hope we know what happened someday. The whole thing is completely ridiculous now with the drop tower and I've heard a strong rumor an old favorite is coming along in the main building area. I'm very excited. And it's walking distance from my apartment. What a world.
