Nrthwnd
^ Oooo... interchangeable flat rides! Kid - ding. Glad the spot is finally being used. And I miss the Tapioca Tumbler, too. Last ridden in 1996.
SoCalJasonland
^Also makes you wonder if this version will be a trailer mounted version. According to their website; they only have a Transportable version that seats 30. It doesn't look too bad though. mondialrides.com/rides

Nrthwnd
Like I said. An interchangeable flat ride. And theming/landscaping, too. I want one of these. Eventually. Thanks Caesar, for hand modeling this one. (And the photo, too.)

DBJ
Thanks for the link to the ride catalogue. I see several flats I would like to see put in at our local parks.
DoubleDown
Does Cedar Point have trailer/transportable flats? It seems like they move or rearrange them every couple years that it would make sense. However if you're in the park it seems like they're pretty permanently installed. Don't get me wrong, I guess it makes sense if Knott's does that, I just think for whatever reason it's kind of trashy to have a trailer mounted ride in a park where you spend $20+ Million on roller coasters and want to be known as a world class theme park. I mean imagine just buying a bunch of cheap ass trailer portable rides, plopping them in random places, then calling yourself a theme park. That's more "carnival-esque" if you ask me. Of course I'm jumping ahead, I'll hold my judgement after the ride is installed and running. BUT THERE BETTER BE SHADE!!!! lol

SoCalJasonland
I visited on November 15th for a couple of hours. Ghostrider is back to one train operation with half-hour wait around 11 AM. I hope that is just temporary or during the week. The rest of attractions had no wait. Not much at former Windseeker sight yet Wipeout construction site The area is quite torn up Same area - different angle Monte says Hi Christmas decorations are up Christmas decorations are up Christmas decorations are up Christmas decorations are up Christmas decorations are up

Even Ghost's wait dwindled to practically nothing by mid-day. I'm surprised there's pretty much no advertisement around the park for Sol. The Windseeker plot was exactly the same, albeit with no flowerbed.
Wingwright
I keep forgetting that Wipeout and Riptide are different rides, so I get massive deja vu whenever I see it mentioned as being removed. I never rode either...
cedarpointguru
So now three areas lay idle: screaming swing, Ripetide, and wipeout. Looking at a map, it looks like they are freeing up space spanning from wipeout to Screaming Swing, assuming they're planning to take out Boomerang. Could be large enough for a major coaster. Unfortunately, they're not all quite open - only Riptide's spot. - Screaming Swing's old area is now occupied by the huge new "Calico Stage" - This new area relieves the congestion from the old stage and train depot in Calico Square - Wipeout isn't leaving. It had to come out to make room for the boardwalk BBQ remodeling. It'll be reinstalled after it's all completed.

VegasBaby
Thanks, can you tell me if Riptide is SBNO or if it has been completely taken out? Riptide was completely removed from the park. It always seemed to be down and I'm sure it was a maintenance nightmare, so they just went ahead and removed it.
johnnyknottsville
People complain about Silver bullet being an eyesore of the park when imo SB is absolutely beautiful compared to this hideous mediocre ride and it's million supports Jaguar is the true eyesore of knotts imo
Jew
Jaguar fits in much better IMO. It feels like they put some thought into making it "blend" in better. Silver Bullet feels much more like a "just put it where it fits" coaster. It doesn't bother me, but I know purists are still upset it took away the charm from the lake and arguably the entrance since Giant B&M+Old Western buildings are not exactly complimentary items.
