The Knott's Berry Farm (KBF) Discussion Thread

P. 651: Montezooma's Revenge project terminated?

Recommended Posts

I asked over 25 employees and 18 of 25 said windseeker will be removed starting january/feburary.The other 7 said they did not know or can't say.

I'm honestly disgusted and embarrassed that you *bothered* over 25 employees for your stupid poll. These people have jobs and things they need to do. They aren't there to answer your dumb questions for the sole purpose of spreading inaccurate information on our forum.

Do something like this again and you'll be banned forever from TPR.

You should try working at a park sometime and you'll understand how horrible and annoying what you did was.

At the park today. Right at opening they tested a train with water dummies. But that was only once from what I've seen. Hope that's a good sign for your WCB. Not for me though.

That should be good news for WCB!

That spot is too valuable at Knott's for it to remain empty for long. It looks like the pixelated blob at WoF is off in the corner of the park. That's not the case at Knott's and they actually changed the supports for Silver Bullet in order to put in Windseeker. Something else will go in that spot pretty soon I'd guess.

I know you cant tell from the quality of the picture, the spot he identified is actually outside the park in front of the intrance gates. I actually heard the Go Karts would be removed for Windseeker, which is just West of Patriot. I also heard it could go in the middle of the park near the Bumper Cars.

Fixed.

And nobody would have ever thought Dollywood would remove Adventure Mountain after two seasons either. Stranger things have happened in the theme park business...

A perfect example, Kennywood had a Huss Ranger in 1983, and they got rid of it after just 1 season. Ironically, Areo360 (Zamplerla Hawk 48, a similar ride experience) is in that spot today.

Silver Bullet does have the double seatbelt in one of the rows IIRC.

This is correct, I believe it's around the middle of the train like row 5 or 6, but I could be wrong. Here's a photo I took today of the xcel trains, the red train had water dummies. Spoke to my manager while talking to coworkers at Monte and he said it'll likely be up by tomorrow or the next day. Things are looking good for WCB.

Whew...

Is Knott's as big as Carowind's?

^Knott's is about a third the size of Carowinds. You can walk from one corner of the park to the opposite corner in about five minutes provided you don't get held up by the train.

Does Knott's have a Discount Shop for Magnets and Stuff?

Not that I'm aware of. They have a number of stores, including several outside the park, but as I'm not a shopper I don't know exactly what each one has.

Does Silver Bullet have Double Seatbelts?

Yes, I believe rows 4 and/or 5 (it may be different on each train) have them on one of the two middle seats. I can't remember if there are one or two per train (there is only one per row).

I plan to visit on a Friday, Are all the rides going to be open?

As of right now, I believe everything except Windseeker and Xcelerator are running, but this is based on the website which often doesn't list minor ride closures. There is a good chance Xcelerator will reopen soon, however.

If Xcelerator is running, I'd recommend starting at the Boardwalk and going counter-clockwise around the park. If Xcelerator is not open, it may be better to start at Silver Bullet or GhostRider instead (Silver Bullet often has a longer line, but it also has better capacity). I wouldn't bother with Fast Lane as it shouldn't be difficult to get everything done without it (Knott's rarely gets lines longer than 45 minutes as long as rides are being run at capacity.

I want to say Virginia's Giftshop in the California Marketplace sometimes has some good deals. If it's not Virginia's then it's one of them.

If you are looking for discount Haunt shirts the store near Sierra Sidewinder usually has shirts from previous years on sale but I think that's only during Haunt.
