Tmcdllr
How about "The Coaster Thingy", that won't get confused with anything.
cfc
Oh dear. And to think I just said something nice about Cedar Fair in the Coke thread!?!? Oh well, at least we can always count on Cedar Fair for their amazing naming schemes and paint jobs! Well, I guess it's better than "West Coaster"--right? Crazy4Coasters!
I couldn't resist... "Coast Rider" The world's first Aqua-Trax woodie! Ha!
Myself
As far-fetched as it sounds, is there any chance that Ghostrider could be getting refurbished with this as its new name?
aroberts
Yeah and the rocky mountain treatment because it need's it.
azza29
Could be an Intamin halfpipe similar to Surfrider at Wet n Wild Gold Coast - maybe they'll put it over the remaining Perilous Plunge lake.
thestripedtaco
It is a pretty bad name but hey on the bright side at least this pretty much confirms that Knott's is getting something new in the near future.
XYZ
As far-fetched as it sounds, is there any chance that Ghostrider could be getting refurbished with this as its new name? I was thinking of the same thing, but it would not fit AT ALL with Ghost Town. I think that Ghostrider should be left alone other than new track and new trains. Angry_Gumball
Yay, another "Noun Verb-er" name! Let's see now, we've got Gate Keeper, Gold Striker, Wind Seeker, Ghost Rider (to be fair, this name was well before the recent trend), and now Coast Rider. Someone's playing some Mad Libs
MrSum1_55
Maybe, if this is really the name, it could be a junior woodie? Something like Wooden Warrior?
UrbanLegend
Soon they'll rename Silver Bullet "That Yellow One" and Xcelerator "That Red One." This naming classification will be applied throughout every Cedar Fair park. It'll make things a lot easier for the GP.
JRHcoasterki
^ For Xcelerator you mean "That Pink One That Used to be Red".
XYZ
Maybe, if this is really the name, it could be a junior woodie? Something like Wooden Warrior? I see your clever way of thinking, it's kind of like Wild Thing & Mild Thing or Beast & Beastie. Though, if a junior woodie is going on PP's location, I'd rather have it called Thunderbolt, Cyclone, or Little Dipper rather than Coast Rider. But, oh well. I can't wait until the confusion of: "WAIT! What did you say, did you say Ghost Rider or Coast Rider?" Heck, I'll just call it Junior Rider. (Yes, I'm reading into this a bit too much)

larrygator
As far-fetched as it sounds, is there any chance that Ghostrider could be getting refurbished with this as its new name? Coast Rider doesn't have to be the new name of the ride, it could be used solely for promotional purposes to promote a transformation.
Crazy4Coasters!
I would hope so because "Coast Rider" reeks of cheesiness and corniness... Oh great now I'm hungry! lol
