P. 651: Montezooma's Revenge project terminated?

Recommended Posts

Knott's Berry Farm has sent us a press release regarding their special Valentines offerings for February!

Knott’s Berry Farm will be celebrating the season of love this February with special activities for the whole family every weekend as well as discounted pricing when you bring a special someone.

Knott’s believes that everything is better when you share it with someone – your friends, your kids, your date, so they invite guests to bring someone they love anytime during the month of February and receive park admission for only $34.99 each! This is a two-for-one special, because “Twogether” is better! And, if you are a Season Pass Holder you can bring a friend for only $24.99 during the month of February.

Knott’s Berry Farm will also be teaming up with the American Heart Association for “Knott’s Has Heart.” When purchasing their tickets, guests will be asked if they would like to send a special Valentine to Charlie Brown for an additional $1, $5 or $10 donation. Proceeds from this special Valentine will go directly to the Orange County American Heart Association to assist them with their ongoing medical research and education efforts.

Weekend activities for “Twogether is Better” include a brand new show at the Camp Snoopy Theatre “Love Is In the Air, Charlie Brown.” It’s Valentine’s Day and the Peanuts Gang is wondering who is going to invite them to the Valentine’s Day Dance. Will Schroeder ask Lucy to go? Will Sally’s Sweet Baboo, Linus, ask her? Will Charlie Brown get the nerve to ask the little red haired girl? This musical show is filled tales of unrequited love and enduring friendships.

Camp Snoopy will also be the site of Cupid’s Craft Corner. Children under 11 can create special tokens for the ones they love including tissue paper bouquets, paper Valentines and Peanut’s coloring pages. Visitors to the Cupid’s Craft Corner can also try their skill at the “Target of Love” bean bag toss.

Those looking to find that special someone while visiting Knott’s during “Twogether is Better,” just might be in luck. Knott’s cowboys will be on the lookout for unsuspecting guests who might find themselves involved in a Shotgun Wedding at Judge Roy Bean’s complete with marriage certificate and horseshoe wedding rings!

Knott’s will also be offering some special “Twogether is Better” food deals including “Double Dawg Love” at Pink’s and a chocolate dipping station in Ghost Town. Guests can make their special someone’s weekend even better by booking Knott’s Sunday Brunch. Served from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm Knott’s Sunday Brunch offers dozens of menu options including a carving station, pasta station and omelet station. Reservations for Knott’s Sunday Brunch can be made by calling (714) 220-5055.

It's no ticket shack but it'll do.

Being as they don't sell individual ride tickets anymore, the poor old ticket shack didn't serve any purpose beyond ambience, anyway--just another structure that had to be maintained. I agree that the new sign will do.

^My guess would be Knotts.

Knotts is:

Cedar Fairs highest attended park, and I believe out performs Great Adventure, Six Flags highest attended park.

13th most attended park in North America.

Has a hotel and shopping center connected to the park.

Closer to the majority of SoCal/LA population.

10 mins away from Disneyland, one of SoCals biggest if not the biggest tourist destination.

Open 364 days a year.

And most importantly, Knotts has Halloween Haunt, a HUGE money maker.

^ CW was the highest performing park in the chain (one of the highest performing regional parks in North America). At least for the longest time it was. Not sure if it still holds the crown nowadays.

SFGAm is the highest performing SF park (GAdv and MM aren't too far behind though).

Cedar Point is the highest performing park in the CF chain, of revenue. Don't believe me? Check out Fun Forward.

Side Note: Knott's is #2 in the highest performing CF parks.

Does anyone else feel like KBF has just been leading us on about the whole hyper/giga? Or are they just spreading the rumor to keep SFMM from getting a giga? It's really starting to tick me off, hopefully SFMM beats them to the punch in 2013 and totally leave CF in the dust
