I went to Knotts yesterday and have brought back a small TR. But first, something very very good.

 

(Note, i took these with my Iphone.

xcelerator's getting a new paintjob!

Little Blurry, but first ride Ghost rider. It was running AWFUL! I sat in the back both rides and had tunnel vision. I prefer the back in the left seat. Most turns lean to the right so you smash your friend instead of you being smashed.

Next was Silver bullet. They were only running 1 train for ALL rides today, but it was fine because the longest i waited ALL DAY was 5 min. I never had to wait for more than 2 trains.

Probably one of the craziest rides i've been on.

It takes forever to get back to the station though.

Best drop ride EVER!

1 more ride on montazoomas revenge, a few rides on sierra sidewinder, another ride on Silver Bullet, and off to the last ride of the day, Ghost Rider. Again, in the back, but on the LEFT seat

Overall, best trip to knotts EVER! No lines, everything was a walk on. The favorite ride of all four of us (Me, Kyle, Phung, and Megan) was Xcelerator, or Supreme scream.

Ride count: Supreme Scream: 4, Xcelerator: 4, Perilous plunge: 2, Pony express: 2, Ghost rider: 3, Silver Bullet: 2, Montezoomas Revenge: 4, Jaguar: 2, Sierra sidewinder: 3, and timberline twister: 2. And for the finale trick, i will add EFFECTS!

....... eeeww. As for construction on windseeker, They were working on the TOP, where the K is. And the Xcelerator's paint job is starting.

^They had already painted the lower supports for Xcelerator when I was there back in the first week of June. That's a ride that desperately needs it!

^^I'm not surprised that Mointezooma was a walk-on; it pretty much NEVER has a line. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for it, even on congested days.

I see Knott's Haunt website is fully up now with things like the early entry buffet now available, on top of ticket sales. The site looks exactly like last years site and I'm sure the haunt won't be much different.

 

I guess that information is relevant for whoever's going to Haunt who can't go to the amazing TPR Haunt Day/Night - like me.

Has anybody ever taken the 460 bus from Knott's to Disneyland? It looks like it's an easy one-way trip.

 

The reason I ask, me and Josh are going to go to Knott's tomorrow for a few hours (have some Comp tickets) and the girls are going to Disneyland (we are meeting them later). I was just going to have them drop us off and then we'd take the bus to DL later in the day.

 

If it's too big of a hassle, I'll just drop them off at DL and then drive to Knott's.

^From Knott's it's no big deal...It's $1.50 each way and the trip from Knott's to Disney is about 15-20 mins. If you go to the trip planner on Metro's website it's going to suggest you buy a daypass for 6 bucks. DON'T. You'll get from Knott's and back with $3. That way you wouldn't have to worry about parking for two parks.

 

EDIT: I misread your post, and you're planning a one-way trip. Yea dude it's pretty easy. Catch the bus instead of drive.

Ive done it, very easy.

 

When ever I go to Disneyland or Knotts I park in the Fullerton Park and ride and take the 460 to the parks. The trip is about 15 mins from Knotts to Disneyland.

Thanks everybody for the tips on the bus, worked PERFECTLY. Very easy to get from Knott's to Disney. Didn't even have to pay for the bus as their machine was broken.

 

It's been quite a few years since I've taken Public Transportation in SoCal ... quite an "interesting" group of people.

^ Knott's is the original. Knott's Scare Zones are CarnEVIL (near the boardwalk), Ghost Town (in the actual ghost town) and Necropolis (in Camp Snoopy).

 

Got the chance to go to dress rehearsal last night and run through Clowns, Dia De Las Muertos, Doll Factory, Terror of London, Lockdown and Club Blood.

 

First off, the chicks in Club Blood, Terror of London and ESPECIALLY Doll Factory are WAY hot this year.

 

Doll Factory SUCKED last year, it is going to be amazing this year. Some awesome talent in there and it was just their first night.

 

Lockdown was also strong again, as it was last year.

 

Look out for the drag vampire in Club Blood. Totally awesome.

 

I wish I was going back tonight to check out the other mazes, but alas driving 2 1/2 hours to OC 2 days in a row isn't my idea of a fun time. There was a guy there from Channel 4 going through the mazes with us and the OC Register. He looked totally freaked out, it was hilarious.

 

Also, going through the mazes by yourself, surrounded by monsters ... kind of freaky.

Can you get through the park without going into the scares zones and or NOT being scared? If i go i'll go through scare zones but just wondering for others...

^ My best bit of advice for this would be to pull up a 2010 Haunt map on line, check out the scare zones as they are usually well marked, then avoid those areas like the plague.
