DallasAlvey
^ Don't get me wrong Jaguer is cool in all but I think this will be better than Jaguer.
socalMAN123
^ We can only hope it is better. Yeah, I think it will be more intense because of the spinning action, but we don't know if it is going to better until we ride it or actually see it in action. ---Brent
Gnome
^ don't think "intense" but rather fun.
socalMAN123
Gah, I'm all confused. Stupid cold weather here! ---Brent
the sound
^ Ha ha. Cold Weather. I would also classify this as a family coaster. I think most of Mack's Stuff should be classified as family. Even though mack is the best. BTW, i think Jaguar looks a little better on the outside then on the POV's that i have seen. But i haven't been on the real thing, so how would i know? Sexy No Jutsu
Family coaster and/or Junior coaster. I'd lead more on the side of Family coaster, because it does look fun for all ages. And hell, even if it is a 'kiddie' coaster, still should be fun. CP says Maverick's a family coaster.
ECZenith
So.... what's going on with this thing? Have they started any construction on it yet? There's prolly no chance it will be ready by the time I'm in So Cal in late March, but one can hope...
Top Thrill Dragster
^I am going to Knotts today so expect a update.
socalMAN123
Kind of off-topic, but I was browsing the Knott's website and found that it lists Xcelerator as only having two trains. Sounds like they dismantled the yellow train. You can find it here: http://www.knotts.com/park/tour/brdwalk/xcelerator.shtml . Anyways, I haven't seen an update on this coaster for a while. Can't wait for your's Top Thrill Dragster. ---Brent

socalMAN123
^ When it originally opened, Xcelerator had a yellow train, a red train, and a purple train. I might have read it wrong but, it might mean how many trains they put on the track at once. I've never once seen three trains on the track because of the timing and operations. I think it would be that and I just read it wrong. ---Brent
SharkTums
Sorry Brent, Xcelerator never had 3 trains. They repainted the trains pretty early on if I recall so maybe that's what you're thinking of.
Sexy No Jutsu
I wonder when Knott's is planning on updating their page for this ride to be listed.
Jeezus Juice
^^^ The yellow train was painted red about a year after opening. Mantis Man, however, has always been a light pale color!
Top Thrill Dragster
Update Not much is going on, it is starting to make me wonder if the project has been canceled or delayed. Also today the park had a power glitch which made almost all the rides go down for about 30 mins. In other news Knotts was holding the meeting of the trash cans at Charles Schulz Theatre Silver Bullets A train has gone into rehab. Not much has happened. All the water rides were down today. The sign says it all.

ghost007jas
Sadly it looks exactly the same as when I was there for Haunt I hope they will get started on this soon, however I do not believe they have a deadline as of yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.

coasterdude5
I'm with Wes on this one, October. But then again, they don't have as much weather to deal with as northern coasters.
DATman
If anything, I'd say October/November for this coaster. I mean, they don't even have footers poured yet, let alone the holes for them dug.
Gnome
one of these days, strait to the moon! Yea, but I hope they do something soon, I want to see some action!
Jew
It looks like they are working with a giant piece of flat land, so I don't think getting the ride up quickly will be a problem. Remember how fast Scream went up? I'm thinking that there might be more issues here though. I remember when they were first clearing the land, they ran into an old sewage pipe when they were digging and seemed a bit confused about it. So there could be something more that is holding the construction up.
metrock
Talk about one giant oops! Lets hope they dont ditch the coaster idea and pave over the entire section of land. ...well it could be a great area for a haunt maze.
Xtreme-me
It seems as though Cedar Fair is spending more time on its other parks in reguards to getting new rides. All I know is that it seems that they are a little behind on this project compared to their other ones like Maverick and Renegade not to mention the fact that they need to finish their "X-flight" project and they just got a billion more parks to operate. All I'm hoping for is a Early June opening.
winningfreak
Hey, I am going to knott's this monday! I'll see if I can find any peaces of the new ride around or atleast take some pictures of where its going in!
