Assuming they bring it back again, paranormal inc is by far the best house so don't miss that one. As far as the rides go the ghostrider line gets very long very fast so you might want to knock that during early entry if you can.

Only go through the mazes that Jon Cooke has helped create. Anything else you can honestly skip. So, Paranormal Inc, Shadow Lands, Special Ops Infected (assuming it comes back), updated Trick or Treat, and whatever his unannounced 2017 maze(s) are. His mazes have a level of detail and creativity that hold up easily against HHN.

Knotts Scary Farm questions!

 

Heading to my 1st KSF on Sat Sept 23rd. Since this is my first Haunt, I have some questions for the experts out there

 

1) Already got our tickets and dinner buffet which gets us in an hour early. How many houses do you think we can do with this extra time? I know when we did the same thing at Busch Tampa, we were able to hit every house in an hour and spent the rest of the time seeing shows and riding coasters.

 

2) There are 4 of us, and we want to see a few houses but we don't need to hit every one. Any MUST SEEs among the line up?

 

3) The main reason we are going is to see the Elvira show. How early do we need to get in line for that? Do they do tickets or just first come first served?

 

4) How are the lines like for the rides? 2 of our group has never been to Knotts, so we definitely wanna do Ghostrider, Xcelerator, and any other ones.

Though boldikus fixed it for me, I say this because hangtime is surfer lingo, or least what middle-aged executives think surfer lingo and culture is.

I'm not buying on an Intamin Surfrider. They wouldn't have cleared that much space for a ride that takes up that small of a footprint. They could've have practically fit one in wipeouts old spot.

If KBF finally gets a major coaster after all these years, and it's Intamin! But then it's a Surfrider called Hangtime....

Hang time is in no way, shape or form a surfing term. Hang LOOSE or Hang TEN, yes. Hang time????no....But that teaser sure makes it sound like they're going to put a lame half pipe in there....

Totally agree, the space is way too large to put in what I'd consider a glorified flat ride. Plus, they wouldn't need the extra construction time for such a small coaster. I think we're looking at some kind of Intamin blitz or Gerstlauer Infinity that may end up wrapping around the sky tower. Hangtime will probably be the name though based on that teaser, which could refer hanging at the top of a vertical lift a la Mystery Mine.

Windjammer had a surfing theme. So did Riptide.

 

Hope this ride kicks ass and breaks the curse. Agreed it's much too large of a space for a surfrider.

^ Yeah, they didn't even need to remove Boomerang if they wanted to add a Surfrider.

 

Looks like a Surfer theme though, which many of us could have predicted considering the location.

Though Intamin fits the "renewed relationship" and the hangtime name and surfing theme would really suit a surfrider.

Sorry to interrupt the ongoing discussion but does anyone know what's up with Xcelerator? It is still listed as closed. We are heading down in late August and would have loved to enjoy that ride. Any kind of updates are appreciated...

I can see why some are a tad disappointed at the possibility(however remote).
