Dropped by Knotts today after my AP preview of Little Mermaid.

 

 

Here are some photos of WIndseaker and different views of the ride from inside and outside of the park.

I'm liking the look of this, it's a pretty vibrant and different color scheme they're going for!

Saw them moving stuff tonight with the crane and they're moving along pretty good, every 10 or so minutes they were moving various parts over Silver Bullet, and landing them near the Windseeker dock...from the ride lot, it looks like they have another yellow tower, then one more purple and green and the baby should be topped off as far as swing movement is concerned.

 

I've seen the movement and swing mechanisms over on Western, but have yet to see the top section of the tower arrive.

So far...Windseeker just looks like a gigantic pencil to me...Haven't even bothered walking to that side of the park to go check things out...

They added the last couple pieces to Windseeker last night and only needs the UFO-type piece now. To say the least, the thing is huge when seen in person, and I'm sure photo's dont do justice for it's size.

Great to hear that its topped off minus the UFO thing, lets see just how quick this thing finally opens! Hopefully they will have everything figured out on this one so it opens with fewer delays than the other windseekers. I havent had a chance yet to see the tower, I cant wait to see what it looks like on the Knott's skyline.

With it's color scheme and no topper piece, it looks like a big yellow pencil...even more so with the different color scheme up top...makes it look like an eraser.

I was in the area and drove by Knott's tonight and saw Windseeker, that thing is HUGE!! No pics can do it justice! (I took a crappy nightime photo on my iphone so forgive quality but this is it topped off.)

That was a pretty funny video! I've always wondered, if someone from far away entered these types of contests, it's up to you to get to the park right? For instance, if I were to enter and win, I'd have to fly to LA and get to Knotts?

So does anyone know what sorts of things they're looking for? I'm assuming something that shows why I'm a "daredevil" and a "windseeker" but with maybe a little humor added in.

...not sure if it makes for a great video, but I used to do this with some friends back in high school... Ah to be 17 again with the money I have now...
