The Great Zo
Just got back from the Outlaw Run night ERT! That will stand out as one of the big highlights of this trip. At least 90% of us had never seen the coaster before, so our first rides were all in the near-complete darkness. Not an ounce of wasted track, and airtime everywhere, even where you wouldn't expect it.
Sir Clinksalot
^ All of the FB posts I was seeing from everybody last night made me extremely jealous and I had to just turn off my phone.

cfc
Silver Dollar City is one of the best parks in the country--great selection of attractions, great food, great staff.
WildStangAlex
I am very happy to hear good reports from Silver Dollar City. I was there in May for my first time, and I was blown away by the location, the theming, the service, the food, the shopping, the cave, the rides, the shows, just EVERYTHING. I can't wait to see what this park does next!
805Andrew
Cool pics so far. Can't wait to see the SDC ones and I'm curious to see how the Arkansas park went. When you were in Texas, did you do SFOT and Texas State Fair in the same day, or two separate days? Sorry to hear SFOT didn't go well.
robbalvey
^ We did both in the same day. The Texas State Fair was a side trip during the afternoon at SFOT. We left at 3pm and were back by 8pm. We told people "if you want to stay at Six Flags Over Texas, you're more than welcome." Â Out of 97 people, we had 82 people come with us to the fair, and many of them didn't go back to SFOT that night. That speaks volumes for SFOT to be honest. Â The State Fair people were amazing. Very welcoming and hospitable! SFOT just seemed interested in taking our money, aaaaand that's about it. Shame. Â --Robb "The Texas State Fair turned a 'blah' day into an AWESOME day!" Was the fair originally supposed to be included, or was it spontaneous cause the day at SFoT was less than stellar?

robbalvey
We have left Texas and have started our trek through the Mid-West! Our first stop... Magic Springs in Arkansas! Â Remember - if you want to follow along with the tour live, check out our Facebook and Twitter as we're posting photos as we go! Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/themeparkreview Twitter - Yay! We have arrived at the first park in the "mid-west!" First up... Arkansas Twister! Ex-woodie from Boardwalk & Baseball in Orlando, FL Classic woodie in Arkansas! The highlight of Magic Springs is they have the only "X-Car Skyloop" in the USA! TWISTY!!! Such a bizarre, but awesome ride! Big Bad John started its life at Six Flags St Louis, moved to Dollywood, and now has a home at Magic Springs. Nice to see this Arrow mine train still operating! Yup! SLC! The only one of the trip! Caption this! Credit whoring! TPR having some fun on the Twister! We had a fun visit to Magic Springs. Wish we had more time to visit! Next time we'll hit up the water park, too! robbalvey
Our next stop was Silver Dollar City. I can't even begin to say what an amazing time we had during our visit to this park so I'll let the photos do the  Remember - if you want to follow along with the tour live, check out our Facebook and Twitter as we're posting photos as we go! Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/themeparkreview Twitter - TPR got to Silver Dollar City the first night with plenty of time for a few rides and then ERT on Outlaw Run! TPR had night time ERT on Outlaw Run! And all those rumors about tighter restraints? Everyone on our tour for just fine! Even the "big man" fit no problem! Excitement explodes in the station as TPR is about to ride Outlaw Run! Outlaw Run was absolutely AWESOME at night! Who wants to take another ride? Huge thanks to Lisa and her staff for sorting out our night ERT! We had an amazing night! We will be right back to Silver Dollar City in just a few hours! The next morning we were back at the park ready for more Outlaw Run! The park invited us to come "sign Outlaw Run!" We all got to sign our names on the ride! Computer geeks should appreciate this! Who's ready to ride??? Outlaw Run was a "new #1 woodie" for many people on this tour! The trees have grown in and Outlaw Run was even more awesome than on opening day! A *lot* of Outlaw Run fanboys were made this day! Outlaw Run really is one of the most impressive rides to be built in a long time! Seriously is one of the most insane wooden roller coasters ever created! Even KidTums was a fan and she's still too little to ride! TPR also got a backstage tour of Fire In The Hole... We ate lots of cinnamon bread... In fact, there was a lot of eating through the park! Of course we checked out all the other awesome attractions at the park... KidTums rode her first launched coaster. (She loved it!) Park President, Brad Thomas came and hung out with TPR during our lunch! Herschend President and CEO, Joel Manby even stopped by to say hello to TPR! But the real stars are Lisa, Martha, Courtney and their staff for putting on an AWESOME even and making TPR feel so welcome! The park was open until midnight for the first time ever, which meant even more night rides on Outlaw Run! We even took a ride with Joel Manby! We closed out the park after 16 hours of Silver Dollar City! TPR seriously had the BEST TIME at Silver Dollar City! Again, huge THANKS to everyone at the park who made our visit amazing! cfc
I rode that old mine train the first time I ever visited Dollywood. Â I'm not surprised that everyone had a great time at SDC. It's definitely a world-class theme park with something for everybody.

Great pics, Outlaw Run looks beautiful. Now I just want to go there even worse  Edit: Oh and huzzah for putting to bed all the sensationalist rumors! Sportsdude360
Cool restraints on Outlaw Run. I wonder if NTAG and iRat will get those kind of restraints. Thing is, I've seen plenty of larger sized guests ride NTAG and even iRat without any problem. I personally can't wait until SFOT concludes it's investigation into the accident on NTAG. The results should prove most interesting indeed.
