televisedconfession
That's a super cool indoor coaster. Great custom layout. Very unique. Thanks for sharing this high quality video of such obsqure rides from a hard to reach land! Really hope to get there one day!
sspaz1000
That "dark ride" looks awesome. Very unique layout. Can't wait to see more from Taiwan.
boardwalkbullet91507
I have a very good friend that lives in Taiwan who I met while she was a ride operator at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier for a few months, and being the enthusiast I am, I really want to visit her in Taiwan and experience the parks there. I'm loving these mini reports, Robb! I've really only seen google earth images of the parks, so the videos and (high quality) pictures are nice! Thank you so much and safe travels to all of you! FreeFaller
Great photos, Robb&Elissa! Taiwan looks like a forgotten place of roller coasters. Great that you explore it! Can't wait to see more of your trip!
robbalvey
Today we were at Janfusun Fancyworld (What a name! lol) home to two B&Ms, one unique floorless coaster, and the "Taiwanese Oblivion" which is a Dive Machine that is an exact mirror image of Alton Towers version. Follow us on Twitter for lots of live updates - or Facebook for a few updates as well - http://www.facebook.com/themeparkreview. Anyway, onto some photos & video... Welcome to the park with a very funny, almost unpronounceable name! Here's the park map. Got it? Good! We had an AWESOME ride on the Ferris Wheel today! We are about to ride "Insane Speed" aka "Floorless Coaster." Be prepared, we are going to show you lots of pictures of the ride because, well, it was pretty darn good! Check out that view! Lift hill enthusiasts can get out their box of tissues now. "How's it going guys?" LOOP-DE-LOOP!!!! First Drop! Gotta love these POV shots! Yup, that's the coaster! "Just hanging out on the lift hill of Insane Speed..." The locals seem to be loving it! Interlocking corkscrews! Yeah! Next we took the Escalator Ride up to the top of the hill. Watch out for those escalator sharks! The view from the top of the hill. G5 aka "Taiwanese Oblivion" Going up... Going down! You get a quick second to think this over... Another one for the Lift Hill geeks! Reverse POV!!! Our Alton Towers fanboys will think a lot of this looks familiar... DON'T LOOK DOWN!!!! Credit whoring... yup. Mr. Cookie guy gives us a thumbs up for being total whores! The park had some nice indoor kids areas. There was also a HUSS Fly Away... But it's currently in the process of being dismantled. Probably a better ride this way! LOVE! "Hey Kids - what gun keychain would you like?" So yeah, this is what we were doing here today... They made Elissa stand on bricks! lol Now it was Neil's turn to be the reality TV star! But we all know who the REAL star of the group is! "That will be $20 per photo please. You also need to see my agent..." They had some decent flat rides here...shame that not many of them were running, though. This might have been the most random thing I've seen in a theme park! It was a HUGE display...on coffee... And apparently the park is very proud of this! Gonna send this guy out to visit most of the people who comment on our YouTube videos. Time to vote! KidTums votes based on what she thinks Insane Speed would be like! There may or may not be some TPR members featured in upcoming episodes of Insane Coaster Wars! "That kid is BACK playing on the Escalator again!!!!" Edited June 19, 2013 by robbalvey
Erik Johnson
I sure hope that they featured Brewster as a walking mascot in the coffee museum.

GreatAdventurer
Great to see some decent Vekoma coasters that don't require a brace position . Out of curiosity how old is this park it looks pretty fresh? Great report so far!

TBpony414
LOL at Elissa standing on bricks! It's neat to see a bit of the behind the scenes for ICW. The tunnel on that one coaster looks like it would give a nice chopper effect due to its tiny size. Love the look of the interlocking corkscrews on the other ride! Thanks for posting these enjoyable updates from across the globe.
mightypotato
G5 is always the forgotten Dive Machine. Great to see some coverage of the ride (and the park in general)!
KBrylczyk
Am I the only one who is terrified of the drop away floors on Insane Speed? I've ridden a few floorless coasters and they all take their time with the disptach, but DAMN that thing moved like it had a purpose!

Jpizzle
Those red cable things (at least that is what they seem like in the video) look so trippy . . . kinda gives the illusion that you are higher than you are!

Philrad71
Seeing the video of the floorless coaster made me think about after we rode Mantis last weekend when we all literally got the crap kicked out of our ears, neck and head. They had installed new restraints, but they were the same as the old one's - just not as stained & dirty. I would like this coaster a lot more if they could make it a floorless. Just seeing this video made me think of Mantis even though the layout is not quite the same and it's (obviously) a floorless versus a stand-up. Some of the corkscrew transitions that are brutal on Mantis would probably be much better as a sit-down coaster. I never seem to get banged around as much on the sit-down B&M's like I do on their stand-up's - even though some of the loops and transitions are very similar. Anyone know if B&M has ever considered changing some of the stand-up trains to sit-down floorless trains?
