After the little girl runs (miles) away to find her cat in the middle of a hurricane and then the father just happens to find her in the middle of the woods after he's been driving around looking for her for only a few minutes, I gave up. Nrthwnd Posted September 23, 2005 Share Posted September 23, 2005 Well, I was kind of going 'eh' by the end of it. The father-finding-daughter scene immediately made me go, "oh really?" IMO I think Shaun Cassidy did better with American Gothic than this (producer/writer). But I'll give it another look-see next week and give it a chance. I turned the channel to PBS and I watched this movie that was a life story about a slave. And she was the only one living and she died in like 1962 at the age of 110. I'll watch it a few more times, but I have to say I expected a lot more from the genius that made American Gothic. I haven't checked out Surface or Threshold.
