UFO's

Whenever I see anything on UFO’s I cannot help but think of that line from Mars Attacks

“We still have 2 out of 3 branches of government working, and that ain't bad.”

Anyways random thought over, sure I believe in them. If we are here somewhere something else has to be.

I would just like to see the look on an aliens face when they discover a signal in space from us and it ends up being a porn channel.

Thank you for that. My favorite quote from such an underrated comedy just made my day.

Oh yeah, and I couldn't care less whether UFOs exist or not.

There are 10^24 stars (roughly, I didn't personally go out there.and count). Furthermore Earth alone is several billion years old, thinking in that time frame 2000 years is nothing. I think there is likely life out there, but I doubt humans will ever know about it.

I believe 100% in the existence of Extra Terrestrial life. I just don't believe they have visited us. When it comes to these types of conversations, i like to quote my favorite line from the Calvin and Hobbes comic book series. "The surest sign that intelligent life exists on other planets, is that none of them have tried to contact us yet."

I believe that it's logical to think that we are "NOT" the only ones in existence. I have not seen conclusive proof that ET's have ever visited earth, but I wouldn't disregard any evidence for lack of faith.

Face it, if the people of Earth could visit other habitable planets and check out the lifeforms that may exist there, why wouldn't we?

It makes for good debate though.

I too believe that aliens exist. Based on the fact that up to three celestial objects have/had water at some point (Earth, Mars billions of years ago, and Jupiter's moon, Europa) and since wherever there is water on Earth, there is life. Since Europa is basically an all water moon encased in several kilometers of ice with twice as much water as Earth (half as much of a surface area, but four times as deep) I wouldn't be surprised that some type of life could be found living in there. Think about that. Three planets/moons that have/had water in a span of half a billion miles. Think the size of the universe - in the tens of billions of light years. Not all stars have planets, but a lot do. The closest earth like planet (Gliese 581 C) is about 20.1 Light Years Away, and a planet in the Cancri 55 Solar system, (about 40 light years away) is although a gas giant, it resides in a very large "Goldilocks Zone" (the orbital ring around a star where it's not too hot or cold to sustain life) and we are still developing technologies to see smaller earth sized planets, so it's very possible we could find one in the near future. That's basically the cosmic equivalent of taking a walk of about 4 - 4.5 inches. However, whether they have visited us, I'm not so sure about that. Almost every single account of a UFO was of mistaken identity, although there are still those few exceptions that were inconclusive. But since our first radio broadcast was from December 24, 1906 (I googled that) any aliens within 101 light years would know of us already, which is easily possible for some to have visited us. Besides, they may have found a way to bypass the laws of physics (or our view of physics may not be perfect in this field) so, yeah. Almost 100% likely that aliens exist, very likely that "nearby" ones know about us, but very unlikely that any have visited us.

Actually, that could happen in some form, as my statement of our radio and television broadcasts will be known to any nearby civilizations, and some of those aliens might believe in the reports of "alien activity" but not enough for the theory to be widely accepted in their world.
