_koppen
Yeah theres going be some kind of control of the decent, no doubt. I really can't wait to see how this turns out!
BigBomer
Maybe I'm stupid, but could this be a blaster facing the other way to slow you down?
COASTER FREAK 11
They could if they wanted to.
GigaG
^Yeah, agreed. I can't imagine them even attempting to open something as insane as the one in Italy. dt I wish they could. I mean, why not? The slides are designed professionally and are not unsafe. Well, maybe a little, but still probably safer than driving in a car. For this, we KNOW the stats, but nobody seems to have found this- https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&ved=0CE8QFjAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wycokck.org%2FWorkArea%2FDownloadAsset.aspx%3Fid%3D36615&ei=5ZndUb61KqmOygGRgoHACg&usg=AFQjCNHkTfr6g4KGQaYQcx8r98jmyPy4Sw&sig2=X-fMRClZDOVUqkBXHq1NgA&bvm=bv.48705608,d.aWc It speaks of a zipline, but what we want to see is that 184 foot tall, 600 foot long speed slide mentioned. Along with detailed diagrams. Hopefully they got permission to construct to 184 feet!
SuperShawn
Everything about this slide just screams terrifying, wrong, and a must ride.
StealthFan
I don't think this looks as scary as Twin Peeks but still it would deffinetly be a squeaky bum time sort of ride when you are waiting at the top before the drop. -Craig
Cyber.Fiber
Holy Sh*t.
Midgetman82
Honestly, the slide couldn't look any sketchier than what I'm seing here... source
ksman1
I found a awesome link with construction updates. The tower is made from old railroad tanks. pretty cool. http://schlitterblog.com/
dropzonefan
According to the link that was in the last post, the final section of the ride is being built.. hopefully we'll get to see the ride in action soon.

Jaykethekid
Just found out that there is some strong rumors that it will go 78 mph down a 180 ft first drop, but what gets me the next hill is only 80 ft tall
bottom_feeder_13
^That isn't possible, the highest speed an object could reach on a 180' drop (assuming no initial speed and no drag/friction) is about 73 mph.
cmullin
This looks absolutely insane!! I'm not sure I would have the balls to ride it if I ever made it out to Kansas.

In a vertical direction, correct. However you also have to factor in the initial horizontal speed from any possible pre drop or station conveyer, etc.
mike_kelly
Here are some pics from Bahncon on 8-11-2013. Talk about an awesome enthusiast event. They really know how to take care of their coaster enthusiasts. This is the tower as it stands now at 150ft Notice the slide goes below grade here. JJLehto
Nice!!! Looks sick Though nothing can beat that slide I saw on the water parks show, (drawing a blank) where you are literally stuffed in a tube, wear a helmet and go crashing around the cement walls
chadster
How long does it take to build a new slide? At Schlitterbahn KC, at least 2 seasons! Sorry, thats just been their M.O. from day 1.

Well your probably right. But those are just rumors that I believe are very close to the actual stats.

Of course it doesn't help that the world has been so lousy this year. They were saying the weather put them way behind on construction.

MorganFan
Just to give my two cents, I wouldn't be surprised if there was airtime even in the slightest bit. Just for comparison, think about the Downhill Racers slide in New Braunfels. That thing gave me more airtime than most of the coasters at SFOT. Of course it doesn't help that the world has been so lousy this year. They were saying the weather put them way behind on construction. Well we have had nearly a whole month of constant downpour. The storms had made the Arkansas river 23 feet higher than it should be. Also, the storms were VERY electrical.
