Worst Ride Name

Recommended Posts

Twisted Colossus

Wicked Cyclone

Honestly, I'm just going to continue calling them Colossus and Cyclone.

Seriously. Those are awful names, especially TC

They should have called it "The New Colossus" instead.

Six Flags just can't remodel a coaster then call it "New (insert ride's name here), that is just as bad putting some brand/property and adding the words "The Ride" to it. If you ask me I think Six Flags is running low on ideas for new ride names instead recycling old ones (like Goliath) and/or putting the words "Chaos Coaster" to a Super Loop flat ride!

I think these names are pretty crappy 'cause they are overused and not that bad:

Goliath

Boomerang

Batman >.<

Superman

Don't forget these overused names too

.Pandemonium

.(insert something here) Coaster

.Big/Little Dipper

.Anything with a snake's name

.Wild (insert something here

I'm still a fan of Super Speed Cool Cool Bear. No ride name will ever be better than that.

I don't know why, but I was really bothered by the wild mouse at Wild Adventures, which was called "Go Bananas!" All of the other coasters at the park have decent names, but this one...wat?

I forgot to mention Helix. Beautiful coaster and it looks very fun from the POVs, but the name sucks. It's like naming a ride "Vertical Loop", "Airtime Hill", or everyone's favorite, Corkscrew.

At least it has a helix.

This name is not about that element, referring to the element is a bonus. I think Helix is a very good name, sounds so high-tech.

The New Colossus is the poem on the Statue of Liberty welcoming newcomers to the United States. The coaster could have been given an American theme, and the name would be a nod to a piece of Americana.

Cedar Point is the ground of terrible names. Here are my thoughts.

Ocean Motion: What?

Blue Streak: Overused.

Windseeker: lives up to its name when it closes for high winds.

Mantis: Sounds like a kiddie ride to me.

Corkscrew: How Original!

Top Thrill Dragster: I see what you did there.

Millennium Force: How come it's not as intense as I305?

Magnum XL-200: What's next, M-60 Thrillinator!?

Slingshot: How Original! (again)

Snoopy Bounce: Just call it Snoopy's bounce party!

Speaking of Cedar Fair in general, here are my thoughts on their bad ride names

.Flight Deck: Sounds like something for motion simulator ride.

.Skyrider: Not really an appropriate name for a stand up coaster

.Bat: O.K. for a suspended, flying, Wing Rider,or any other inverted coaster, but not for a boomerang coaster!

.Time Warp: How "Original"!

.Woodstock Express: Overused. (note to Kings Island, rename your "Woodstock Express" coaster back to "Beastie"!)

.Steel Force: How "Original"! (again)

.Backlot Stunt Coaster: Even worse than "Italian Job: Stun Track", come on how about a better name for those coasters!

.Wilderness Run: Despite the fact the name of this kiddie coaster has changed to something lamer than "Jr. Gemini", I'm still going to refer to it by its old name.

.Spinning Dragons: I see what you did there.

Agree to disagree. I personally think it's unoriginal and sounds like Liseberg ran out of names for rides.

At least it isn't Dark Ride like these three coasters:

I never understood why the Intamin Half Pipe in The Mall of America is named "Avatar Airbender" I mean, they should have named it by the show's full name "Avatar: The Last Airbender-The Ride"

Maybe they just want to keep a short name for it!

How is steel force not original. I love the name. Time warp really isn't used a lot either.

And I personally love the name Mantis and it's logo.

Avatar Airbender (I actually like that name) is better that the Fairly Odd Coaster.
