ViperLover
What is the most ghetto park you have visited? Was it that famous park with gum on every stall door lock, so you can't lock the door? Or was it that park with green water in the pond? Those weren't meant to be real parks, but what's your opinion? cfc
^That's better. Â Hmm . . . for me, it might be this park in China. Â Â Or maybe this park, also in China. Â

Double0Kevin
Tahoe Amusement Park in South Lake Tahoe. My last visit was back in 2010, it had gone down hill since I had last visited in 2003. Tilt-A-Whirls can fly apparently Ummm... Tire? Paratrooper... They were sold out of Tab Cola Who says only Europe has self operated rides? What's left of the coaster This was their new ride in the parking lot and yes, this was open for riders.
cfc
^Boy, that place really has gone to seed. I remember it being kind of nice once; of course, that was 20 years ago.
Double0Kevin
^When I went in 2003 it was really fun little place. There were a lot of people, especially at night and all the rides were in great shape. Amazing what 7 years did to it.
WFChris
Anybody remember Santa's Village in Skyforest, CA (near Lake Arrowhead)? Â It had a roller coaster, a monorail, and a bunch of other weird stuff. I was super young when I visited, but I knew something was off. So, that gets my vote. Slem
For some pretty obvious reasons I would have to say that the most ghetto park i've ever been to has to be that park that never operated in Pripyat. Eheee...
A.J.
South of the Border in Dillon, South Carolina I drove past that place on my way to Orlando in 2011. I almost stopped there to ride the Wild Mouse coaster but I thought that it looked kind of shady. One trip to the RCDB later and I find that the mouse has been standing but not operating since 2003. Good thing I didn't stop!
bill_s
Williams Grove. Appeared quite popular for family picnics that day (seperate from the amusement area). I know it was never a that serious a park, but those bathrooms were something else.
IronWolfman
The most ghetto park I've been to is Mt. Olympus, and it wasn't even that bad! Just the operations, staff, and condition of the wooden coasters were very poor...

rcdude
I'd probably say the defunct Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom is the most ghetto park I've been to. It had the permanent carnival feel, half the rides weren't running, and most of the ones that were seemed like they were barely in operating condition. The arcade was also full of old, broken games and the whole place was dirty. Surprisingly, the waterpark was somewhat nice (and I believe that part is still open). Â For currently operating parks, Conneaut Lake Park is the most ghetto I've visited. SBNO rides, damaged buildings, and a whole park that seemed to be on its last legs. Granted, I was only there during exclusive park time on the LeviaTHON trip, and although I had a good time it did seem like the park would not be nearly as enjoyable if I was visiting on my own. I still think this is probably my favorite of the parks that I'd consider "ghetto", but I really doubt it will be around much longer. Â For chain parks, La Ronde. Parts of the park were nice, but when you've got empty buildings with plywood covering the doors and windows as well as a damaged pathway overgrown with weeds to get to an attraction, it's hard to not consider the place somewhat ghetto. downunder
SFA at the time I visited, burned down buildings, coasters that barely worked, all round aura of unpleasantness. Â Sommerland Syd, it was a field in the middle of nowhere with some rides plonked there. Â Castle Park (Cali), deserves a mention for some of the most ghetto Halloween mazes ever. Those photos were taken near the end of June 2010. So yeah, normal summer day where you'd expect them to be busy.
