^ Huh those screenshots are by n7 according to steam, considering his really obnoxious attitude earlier in this thread when he claimed to be an ambassador between TPS and TPR despite Robb spending a lot of time talking to the developers directly, i'm actually surprised to see that he really does have a copy to use already and is part of the development.

If the guy has good work to contribute and can help with development, that's fine.

Press release from Pantera:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Theme Park Studio is almost here!

Early Access Launch Date: February 27th, 2014.

Purchase and download Theme Park Studio: http://store.steampowered.com/app/254590/

THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER!

We are inviting theme park and roller coaster fans to take part in our “Early Access” development build that will be released on Steam February 27th, 2014.

If you have purchased Theme Park Studio via Kickstarter or our own crowd-funding, you should have received your Steam Key already!

This first release allows our community to get started designing their parks, creating custom assets, and importing/sharing custom scenery.

Most modules are 70 percent complete. Each will be released in phases, with additional modules unlocked as we polish and add new features requested by the community.

Theme Park Studio has branched out way beyond its original design, as we listened to our customer base. We have held focus group meetings with Kickstarter backers, interacted with forum members, and truly set out to build the ultimate theme park sandbox game, shaped by the community.

Theme Park Studio is a powerful suite of tools that allow players to design, build, and experience stunning amusement parks of their own design. Players can build whatever they can imagine, and then share it online for others to experience.

When all phases are released, Theme Park Studio will feature:

- Custom coaster creation. Players can bend, pull, and stretch coasters into any design they wish. Prefabricated templates are provided as helpers, if desired

- Custom Flat Rides. Design your own flat ride from the ground up, or select from our pre-built ride library.

- Park guests: After opening your park, watch park guests (peeps) tour your theme park and hop on your coasters and flat rides.

- Mesh importing: Build your own environmental objects and import them for maximum customization.

- Particle effects, including fire, smoke, fountains, fireworks, and weather effects. Our particle effects module is very versatile, allowing the player to create a wide range of effects. Particles can have triggers for setting up shows or like coasters splashing through water.

- Landscaping: Import your own height maps and textures to create stunning landscapes, or custom sculpt one of your own design.

- Water: Control water parameters like speed, level, color, and ripple size.

- Vegetation: Our engine features an advanced vegetation solution. Our proprietary technology allows players to build everything from grass to elaborate oaks. Trees are procedurally generated and can be controlled by custom wind and turbulence settings. This technology has been integrated into Theme Park Studio.

- Oculus Rift Support: Due to overwhelming requests for this support, we are proud to announce this cutting edge technology will be included in all versions of Theme Park Studio.

New trailer video:

Thank you for your support!

This. Will. Rule.

I was of the opinion that I did not need this game as I would prefer NL2, but riding coasters in VR is one hell of a feature!

Is there other backers who have not yet received their steam key ? I asked my dad, he says he checked in his e-mails and his spam/junk folder and had not received it yet. I just want to verify if I'm alone in the situation to know if I need to re-ask my steam key or it simply wasn't sent to me for the moment.

Yeah, I got my Steam key a while ago. Make sure that the email inbox you're looking in is the one that is associated with your Kickstarter account (unless you backed them after the Kickstarter closed, in that case I can't help you).

What email service does he use? Gmail decided mine belonged in a promotions folder for some reason.

Do all the peeps look the same?

It was mentioned earlier in the thread that the video of peeps was from very early in development when a lot of people were asking to see peeps before they backed the kickstarter, apparently the final version should have a lot more differences.

Yes he does use Gmail and I told him to recheck once I had seen your previous post. I'll triple check another time then.

The email will be from pantera entertainment and titled Welcome To Early Access, it won't mention themeparkstudio until you open it.

I looked on the site, but most likely missed it! Is this for windows only or will it work on Mac products?

It's Windows only for now. They did have a stretch goal for a Mac version but it wasn't reached. I'm a Mac user too so I am still holding out for a version for us but I pledged anyway as I can play it via bootcamp I guess.

Neil (+ one more vote for a mac version) Tonge

I used to play a ton of RCT and RCT2 many years ago, but haven't touched them in a LONG time. The only reason that I donated to the kickstarter was because I thought it was cool that someone wanted to make a new game based on one of my hobbies. Honestly, I didn't even know if I'd ever really play the game, just wanted to help them out. When I got my e-mail the other day with my key in it, I was genuinely excited that I'd get to play it this week. Can't wait to try it out!
