Metrofan56
I never got the Dragon Wagon credit because I am too tall but my shawty got the credit last year even though she is 26.
gisco
I mainly ride them at this point just to piss off other enthusiasts. Same with powered coasters, I don't even count them, but I ride them just to annoy others. I'm awesome. Â I like your style!
cfc
I honestly don't even care about riding kiddie coasters for the count...I think it's more about just having fun. What better way to have fun than on a coaster with your friends that you obviously don't belong on? Â That's pretty much how I see it. If I were at a park on my own, I wouldn't bother queuing up for a kiddie coaster--with a group, it's a different story.
Moose
It also depends on what's in a park. If the kiddie coaster is the best thing in the park sure ill wait for it. If the park has unique flats, dark rides, etc; I find them to be much more worth my time.
DougMJr
Kiddie coasters? I'm genuinely thrilled by Wacky Worms!
ernierocker
For me, the kiddie coaster credits are more of a group activity. I had never ridden the Nascar Speedpark coaster (Sevierville, TN) until this summer when TPR came through on the New Hotness. I will not go out of my way to ride one by myself, but if I am on a TPR trip it is a lot of fun to take over a kiddie coaster!
GrapesLie
^ See it's the same for me! If it's in a group situation or a enthusiast event I'm all over it! However if I'm alone or its just two of us I'm not going to be the creepy guy trying to ride the kiddie coaster!
sspaz1000
I do it well for: Â a) with the right people it's epic (Please see the TPR's 2011 trip to Magic Forest where we rolled back a kiddie coaster the video is awesome and on this year's LeviaTHON we got the Taxi Jam credit, and got an employee to ride it with us.) Â b) it's a roller coaster, and I'd like to experience as many as I can in my lifetime, no matter the quality. Â c) I'm right at that magic height limit cut off of being too tall, but sometimes with the right ride ops, who know how to read their height sticks, I can score a ride without a kid. Â d) I'm not a big fan of spinning rides and besides coasters, and some log flumes and a couple other flat rides, there isn't much I can ride without getting sick, so I'm going to find all the credits possible. Double0Kevin
I'm a moderate credit whore. I will ride Kiddies for the credit if it's convenient, but I often won't go out of my way to get it. However, some kiddie coasters are cool to me, so i do make the effort. Like Runaway Woodstock's Reptar Blue Streak Express (WTF is it called now?) at CGA, it's a cool little Kiddie that is just fun to ride. Also something like Hippogrif at IOA will get a ride out of me when I visit the park. However rides like Canyon Blaster at SFMM or Grover at BGW don't really get my attention. jray21
I honestly don't even care about riding kiddie coasters for the count...I think it's more about just having fun. What better way to have fun than on a coaster with your friends that you obviously don't belong on? Â There are few things as fun as being on a tiny kiddie coaster filled with screaming/laughing adults.
Meteornotes
I don't count credits, so they don't matter to me. I'll only ride one if it's very unique, or it's a massive takeover of one during a TPR trip or event. Those are fun. Â dt
The Angry Darren Mullins
I just consider kiddie/family coasters to be a part of the experience. All coasters seem to serve a purpose, unless they are SBNO.
Nrthwnd
I count them, but only ride them when there is a group of more than..... 20 lol. Â (Bless TPR Tours!)
A.J.
Some kids' coasters are kick-butt, like Kozmo's Kurves (and the late High Speed Thrill Coaster).
goatdan
I don't know if I even consider myself an "enthusiast" any more. I haven't been on a real coaster in over a year and I haven't felt tons of withdrawl or anything. I was never good at "counting" my credits. I tried once, figured out it was north of 150, and then realized that I didn't care. My goal for going to parks is having fun. To that extent, I've been in the position to be to a few parks that weren't even open, and I can honestly say that my visits to them were equal to if not better than parks that I have been at that were open. Â Having said all that, while a long time ago decided that I was done riding rides that I knew that I wouldn't like - either because I would get sick or whatever... spinning mice I'm lookin' at you - I also will hop on them when I get a chance. Try to ride Cobra at SFDK in the front, and it's a blast. I couldn't stop laughing. Go downhilll slowly, and then rocket back up the hill because the train is SO long everything works backward. Stuff like that is what I remember the most from visiting these parks - for me, it's the experience of being at the park and having fun doing different stuff. Â I've also now got a little one, and while he has only been on one "coaster" yet - a Dragon Wagon at a local church thing, something I don't even consider a coaster - and he had a blast, I'm sure that as I start getting back to some places in the near future, I'm going to have more spectacular memories on these small things. gisco
They don't, I will ride them when I'm with a group like TPR but otherwise I won't go out of my way to ride them. We have two coasters here where I live and both are kiddie coasters. One of them I have yet to ride. Probable won't either until my grand children are old enough. The ride on the other one was a fluke. I was miniature golfing at the place and when I walked by the coaster a kid need a second person to ride with him. Schrecken
I really don't care one way or the other, but if the opportunity presents itself and I'm with others who want to go for the credit, I will. I do have a few kiddie coasters on my credit list as it stands now.
RCT3Bross
I'm not to interested in Kiddie credits. I rode them in the past when I was a kid, but I see them more as beginner coasters. Now when I'm near a kiddie coaster I just don't ride them, I "lost" some credits by doing this though. (I do have some strict rules for myself to consider it a kiddie coaster or a family/thrill coaster, to still ride as much coaster I can find.) cmullin
I like getting kiddie credits, but if it's going to be a hassle I'd rather ride my favorite ride at the park again than get my kiddie credit. But if it's going to take 5 minutes or less I do it because it wouldn't really take any time away from enjoying the park.
Angle O. Descent
I don't believe in riding kiddie coasters unless you have kids with you. I've been denied riding Jr. Gemini and Taxi Jam as a solo adult, and Kosmo's Kurves actually warns guests not to have two adults sitting together. If it's being discouraged, then I won't ride. Guess I'd better get on having children
Wes
Unless it's a walk-on situation, I simply don't care enough to ride them.
Stu K
I tend to ride new kiddie coasters just out of interest in ride and industry . But there are some Gems out there Zipper dipper at Blackpool is awesome and twist a saurus at flamingo land never spun like that on an adult ride lol. Â Still need to hire a kid for flyers at Islands of adventure and members loan me on next week? Â Stu K

cfc
^Same. It's pretty rare for me to hit a kiddie credit unless I'm with someone else (preferably a group) who wants to ride it. For example, I passed on Fun Spot's kiddie credit last Saturday. Edited October 14, 2013 by cfc
