Anyways the piers on the Jersey Shore are ALOT worse then Rye Playland (Casino Pier is completely GONE) I don't really see how it could be millions in damage there (maybe a million judging by the video but not too much more then that). In Albany they WAY over dramatised the amount of force Sandy would have up here (I don't think the winds even reached 60mph) and we got little rain. Nobody was forcing you to ever ride it again, and some people DID like it, but you're happy it was one of many things destroyed in a devastating storm? Â Apparently it also destroyed a terrible looper down the street. We went and rode all that crap back in 2010 (I think it was part of Derek and Piers' master plan to find the Jersey Shore house and people). As long as the pizza didn't get destroyed, I'm fine! Obviously, I won't be finding out in this case.  And I see there's been another anti-Boomerang/SLC post just as I was writing this. Not the best rides in the absolute sense, but very ambitious and more than adequate along the seaside... and no way would they be replaced by B&Ms in those locations if this storm had knocked them down!! Yet we are the 'bad guys' for simply being realistic and calling them out on it...  If I was sad about anything...it's that I'm sure no business wants to have to go through this, and it's a mess to clean up (both physically and financially), and I'd hate to see anyplace that people enjoy visiting go through a hardship. But seriously, is anyone REALLY going to miss those two coaster specifically? They were awful. Really, really awful. And what these "ACE Mentality" people don't get, is that by them being destroyed, is that they have a chance to be replaced by something better. And it's these same idiots who are complaining and giving us crap now, who will be all gung ho when the new replacement ride opens, and will have totally forgotten that just a year or so before, they were giving us shit for saying what we said. Â Yeah, these two rides were brutal, some of the worst I've been on in the world. I feel bad for the people that own these attractions, but am hoping they'll replace them with something a lot better. Myself Posted October 31, 2012 Share Posted October 31, 2012 Was that Wisdom Ride's Pirate Hideaway on Casino Pier Also destroyed? I always found that ride to be pretty wacky. Â Until an aerial photo of the pier surfaces, I can only assume it survived. Casino Pier didn't seem to be hit as badly as Funtown (though that is definitely an understatement), and the area the ride is located seems to be standing still. Â You may be on to something here...perhaps this is some sort of payback for Snooki reproducing!?!?! Even as a New Jerseyian I can say that I was secretly hoping for the "Shore House" from Jersey Shore to be blown down. I was just worried about my grandparents beachfront house in Sea Isle.
