Jakizle 9
Great pictures Jake! Something about Waldameers Drop Tower makes it the best one I've been on! That night ERT on Ravine Flyer II was pretty awesome, almost up there with the ERT on Boulder Dash last year. Although the 5 rides in a row on RFII middle was a bit rough as times! Yeah, I really think on any wooden coaster the middle is actually the roughest. Over the hills the cars "expand" from each other and in the valleys the cars "compress" into each other, making the middle the roughest. I was in the 3rd row for like 10 rides it was amazing, but when I got stuck in the middle on a wheel seat for the last 5 rides are so I was really starting to feel it. Still an incredible ride though. Great update as usual man, Conneaut Lake looks like a terrifyingly awesome little park, and Waldameer looks like one of the best little local parks in the country, not quite Knobeles good but not that far off. I wish every town in America had a park like Waldameer. Completely agree. The last time I visited Waldameer I was sick and it was extremely busy so I had a less than stellar time...but this visit was soo good in every way. Loved the park! Riding 3 in the scrambler was insane. Waiting for someone who was off the ride to post a picture. Yes yes yes, I know someone was taking pictures. Where are they?
Sir Clinksalot 0
Great stuff Garbles. Can't wait to see the rest. Looks like an epic trip.
Jakizle 9
Darien Lake! This was my last former Six Flags park in the country to get too and I was actually looking forward to it. I thought it was pretty nice, and while the coaster selection isn't the best, Ride of Steel more than made up for it! It was running excellent and I'll go ahead and warn that like 90% of my pictures are from that ride. Got some cool behind the scene shots though! Thanks to I believe it was Holly for hosting us Love when the park does little things like this! Awesome lanyards. And here we are entering the park! Rain rain go away! Predator was waiting for us. But our first stop was Ride of Steel! Gotta love those finale hills! This is not the proper way to ride. 2 train ERT is always amazing. And this is why you go to TPR events! You can just ride over and over in almost any seat on an amazing Intamin mega. Ok, now Predator is open. I can see this coaster being amazing when it opened as it has a great layout, but it just seems like age has taken its toll big time. The exit does provide this great view of Ride of Steel, though Getting closer. However it was time for credits. The boomerang was good! No head banging, ran reliably, etc. And after all these years, this would be my first moto style coaster. Wait, this doesn't look good. But this looks promising. We got there right as it reopened from a break down. Sometimes timing makes you the best credit whore! As for the ride, it's twisty!!! I really liked it though, albeit short. This just made me sad for some reason. As for the park, I like how it is spread around a lake. Very unique for an old Six Flags property. Speaking of the lake... Holy shaping arrow... The walk to Viper takes you along a nice stroll through the ride's infield. getting there... Are we there yet? Woo we made it! Viper ran good too, and is unique as far as the bigger Arrow loopers go. No credit for you -__- It did look cute though. In fact their entire kids area was very nicely done. There's a moose on the loose! One more credit to go! It looks so innocent... It wasn't too bad actually. Easily the best part of the SLC design. Not sure how this happens... Time for lunch! The lunch area had a cool location between Ride of Steel and the water park. Provides great views of the coaster! Let's take a walk around Ride of Steel. Speed sucking spirals!!! Airtime is nice. I like this picture. And the gaps between wheels and rail Standing in the middle. This is easily one of the better airtime hills out there. And the airtime filled finale is just great. great first drop! The low to the ground speed turn after the first drop is one of my favorite elements too. I also like how it skims above the water. here they come... I think we were spotted. Standing back a bit. Intamin is just beautiful. Ooh, artsy. Bigass airtime hill. I thought this one was pretty. Heading back home... Through the trees! Love the reflection. I like lift hill shots. Anyways, moving on... Having racked up all the credits, we spent the afternoon in the Fascination parlor! Another great feature of this park. Too bad I suck at this game. ..and then the rains came, and they came hard. A lot of the people on the trip got to ride the SLC in this down pour though and am told it was epic. Then we headed back to the bus...and Martin's Fantasy Island was next! I'm going through mine now and should get some up soon - but in the meantime, here's just one from Waldameer... Robb, Bob and Jake squeeze into a Scrambler car - and Robb's starting to have second thoughts...
andybarnes84 0
Awesome trip report so far, and loving the fact that ROS is getting a lot of photo love, I've only been on it's Sister (ooooh...easy now) at SFA and I thought it was a really good ride, even with it's straight bits. Moose 0
I haven't been to this park in around 10 years and predator sucked even then. If it has aged badly I am very very frightened. Thanks for the report.
gisco 1
Fitting in the scambler was epic. We were not all flat on the seat! One of the nice things on these reports is seeing pictures of some of the things I missed.

Jakizle 9
Time to update this thread! Now that I am settled in with school I should have a lot more free time! Tonight I'm going to start with Martin's Fantasy Island and start part 1 of Leviathan Bash at Canada's Wonderland, the highlight and main reason behind the trip! After Darien Lake Robb and Elissa worked it out that we could stop by Martin's Fantasy Island to at least get the credits, which is greatly appreciated. The park was also nice enough to backdoor us on to Silver Comet! Thanks guys . As we were there a short time I didn't get too many photos, but here is what I did capture! And here we are at Martin's Fantasy Island! Located between Buffalo and Niagara Falls on the grand...you guessed it...island! This is what you see when you enter the park. It's very interesting...you can go to the left through a sort of main street area, or head right and... ..take a nice leisurely walk on a path kind of far out there. Also I can't remember the gentlemen in the hat's name, but many thanks for greeting us, giving us info about the park, and walking us back! This is our ultimate reason for coming here, Silver Comet! This is where the journey begins! The Crouse family is very excited for their ride Silver Comet is actually one of the, if not the smoothest CCI's I have ever been on! Which is kind of surprising, as the layout is very unique and focuses on a wide variety of turns and lateral forces. Good ride! The park did have some wild looking flats, but we were on a mission. heading down the main midway... This is the line for the wild mouse...ught oh... But I have to give the ops credit, they were pushing out trains really fast. After about 15-20 minutes, it was almost our turn! A group of TPR members enjoys their ride! This mouse is kind of middle of the pack for me. Not bad but not super crazy! And with that we had the last stateside credit of the trip. It had a huge line, but isn't this log flume famous on TPR for some crazy amounts of wetness? And if I'm not mistaken, I think this was one of the first star flyers to go in anywhere. Since we were the last riders on the Wild Mouse we didn't really have time for any other attractions, but I heard some people got a chance to ride this! I did manage to sneak a few shots of Silver Comet though This last ground hugging turn was the crazy point of the ride! Amber isn't trying to hop over the fence...but just showing off her skills The park really does have a weird mix of nicer areas and regular theme park midways. However it was time to leave through the other side of the park near the entrance. I would definitely like to come back and explore here another day and give Silver Comet a few more spins. Back on the bus...and off to Canada!!!
AussieMum 0
Amber where is all that flexibility you have, can't see it in this photo. All that money wasted on dance! Thanks Garbles
Jakizle 9
Ok, time to finally post Canada's Wonderland! As many of you know this was the main event for the Leviathon trip and the day was open to any TPR members to make up the amazing Leviathan Bash! I took a ton of photos this day (and Derek used my camera for a bit, too ) so I will break it up into 3 parts! Part 1: Morning ERT and 16 credits before Lunch! (BELOW) Part 2: Scavenger Hunt and Backstage Tour Part 3: Leviathan Porn and Night ERT! On the short bus ride we were handed our AWESOME event badges! Here you can see all we have in store for today. TPR events are simply unbeatable in the Theme Park Industry. Just follow the giant *** B&M! I'm not going to lie, I was just as much excited for Behemoth as I was Leviathan. However, Leviathan is just massive. Pictures don't do justice! First ones here! I thought the park was beautiful right upon entering. This opinion never really changed As soon as we made it over to Leviathan she was already running and ready for us! Got to love parks who have everything together Longest lift hill in existence. Check. This is why TPR events rule! No line for a brand new B&M giga coaster. 3 trains runnings. UNLIMITED rides! As for the ride, I really liked the drop (one of the best anywhere) and the first 2 or 3 elements. We will wait until night time to make a final decision Wild Beast was having issues in the morning...so the park opened Bat for us! Love getting them credits out of the way. Fly was also up and running. Cha-ching! We also were able to "swing" by Vortex Not many of these left. Enjoyed a nice forceful ride in the rear Oh yeah, did I mention this thing dominates the park? How about a 5th credit for morning ERT??? Awesome indoor mine train! Back over at Leviathan ERT...holy crap look at all the GP coming!!! At the end of ERT Robb had a surprise...MORE ERT! Silver Streak was open just for us. Coaster #6 of the morning. Good news! This was the best Jr invert I have been on that still has the original restraints! Not knowing about the perk later, a few of us got the Taxi Jam credit with KT #7! This was also right next door. They have an impressive collection of kids rides! These jr woodies are really cute, good fun, and perfect for kids. Now lets move on to the big boy rides...I thought this path was interesting. What the hell is this??? It looks so innocent! And luckily it was actually pretty fun! Number 9 and we are already halfway home! LOL! I can't even imagine... Skyrider's queue also provided one of the only views of Vortex. Pretty Time to ride the Mighty Canadian. Coaster #10! And this is about all you can see from the park...but it was neat how it ran through the water park. Not a bad ride! Moving on to the 'far end' of the park. Sledge Hammer was open! I was pretty much expecting this one of a kind attraction to be closed but it ran great all day! While not the most insane ride, it was definitely unique and I'm happy I got to ride it. Nice break from the coasters. We will get to you later Windseeker. Being credit whoring professionals, we went to Time Warp next (it wasn't on Fast Lane) I can almost feel the pain from here. Nice transfer track! Anyways after about a 20 minute wait, coaster #11! Should we ride Behemoth next? Nah, how about Stunt Coaster first. Look at the line we just skip! I bet you haven't seen this picture before 11th coaster of the morning. Lets just skip the 1 hr line for Behemoth too! Holy CRAP! Behemoth was amazing as far as B&Ms go. Definitely my favorite ride in the park. But then it came time to do this...we have no choice. At least it looks really nice We also waltzed right by the line for this one. 14/16 in the books, 2 more to go! Dragon Fire! Deja Vu moment. Yeah, Leviathan pretty much craps all over Dragon Fire...but I like it! and drumroll.....Wild Beast was now open! This completed our full circle around the park and all 16 coasters before lunch!!! Just skipping lines all day. I can't stress it enough...BUY FAST LANE!!! We were pretty stoked by our accomplishment...new credit record? Try doing this at CP or SFMM LOL. Our unstoppable team was me and Amber, Chad, Bob, and Soupy! Leviathan looks pretty boss from here, we will get back to you soon. Oh yeah, Wild Best won crew of the year for Drop Tower? The rides are alive. It was around noon and Leviathan was still the busiest area of the park. Eats the GP up! There was also some sort of trampoline show going on. I love tramps Munch munch munch, time for lunch! Would you choose Leviathan or food? We ate and played TPR quest! "Get me away from this nonsense!" That is it for part 1, more coming soon!!! Meteornotes 0
I've never not seen this park be anything but insanely busy, so hooray for Fastlane! I really wish every park would add some sort of system like this, it just makes a day at the park so much easier and stress free. dt
TheStig 0
Looked like a fun day! And I second the use of Fast Lane, it was great at KD. Also... Enjoyed a nice forceful ride in the rear
theonetheonlyJT 0
Enjoyed a nice forceful ride in the rear I think it had something to do with this There was also some sort of trampoline show going on. I love tramps
Mrlittle 1
I've been curious to hear someones review of Leviathan. I mean I have an idea of what people think about it since I heard some talk about it while on the Hotness tour. But I have not really heard much on it. I also agree, fast lane is the way to go. STR8FXXXINEDGE 0
Great pics, Jake! So happy I was able to make it to the bash. It was a blast, and awesome to see everyone! I know I haven't read your review of Leviathan after you rode it at night, but I see that you said Behemoth is your favorite in the park so far, and I would have to agree with that. I loved Leviathan. The drop was amazing, and had some really fun moments after it, but overall, I prefer Behemoth. Looking forward to the rest of your report!

Jakizle 9
Time for part 2! Some pictures from our scavenger hunt but mostly the back stage tour of Behemoth and Wild Beast. I took a few of the pictures for our team's scavenger hunt after lunch...crazy hats! Hanging out on the rainbow bridge! A photo with our favorite character We weren't sure what the favorite snack was...so we just chose the mini dough-nuts! Yum! But then we preceded under the belly of the beast. This is what the bottom of Leviathan's station platform looks like. Hey, who left that check in here!?! I wonder what's inside this door? I spy blue prints!!! Back in to the open, we made our way to the field between Leviathan and Dragon Fire. We got very close and personal. Under the world's longest brake run. Prepare for a ton of photos of this drop Picture perfect framing? New for 2012 was also the vertical drop on Dragon Fire! Jokes, jokes These guys were great, answering any of our questions about the park and coasters. Who doesn't like a nice screw or two? Underskirt action Do the splits??? Spot the coaster train Squeeze the loop in there! I've been working out this year Yeah, did I mention we were very close??? Holy sh*t that drop!!! The ride is seriously huge. You now the ride is giant when this is the LAST turn of the ride. Yeah, while I'm not a big fan of Leviathan, the drop IS one of the best in the world. Add a train to make it better. Here they come! Nothing like plummeting nearly vertical from 300' on a coaster. Where did I leave my coat hangar? I really like this picture. On the way to Wild Beast...Leviathan's queue is still completely full. Thank goodness for ERT and Fast Lane! Time for some quality time with wood. They keep trains here. Pretty cool being right under neath the track. BANK RIGHT DAMN IT! Wide angle. Ok, you can stop banking now. Ladies, you are most certainly welcome. Nerd shot. Spot the Leviathan. It looks so nice... He seems to like it rough in the rear. Real talk, just hanging out on this hillside watching the ride was very relaxing. Shall we go inside? Great shot of the first drop from within the structure. ooh, artsy shadows Looking back the other way. Like all good things, our tour was coming to an end. I'll leave you with this one. More Leviathan porn and night time at CW coming soon!!!
