robbalvey
^ It is a "drink coaster" that buzzes when your table is ready. Most major American restaurant chains use them now. Here is an example of one: http://www.microframecorp.com/dp_lite.htm --Robb
ebl
They closed the Elephant Bar in Ventura (the closest one to us). I thought the whole chain closed, but it's nice to see yours still open. Eric
coasters 4 me
^ It is a "drink coaster" that buzzes when your table is ready. Most major American restaurant chains use them now. Here is an example of one: http://www.microframecorp.com/dp_lite.htm --Robb When I got one at Joes Crab shack, they said it would be 40mins, but turned out to be 15mins, we werent expecting it to go off but it made me jump a few times. Mmmmm....that food looks nice! So would you rather have the lettuce wraps or the plain pasta, Elissa?

PhishyBrewer
I don’t eat at the Elephant Bar here in Sacramento anymore. Something about green onions and hepatitis being spread around. Looks like you guys enjoyed yourself though.

PhishyBrewer
County on alert for hepatitis A - SACRAMENTO -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri, 21 Nov 2003 09:09:00 -0500 From: hbv_research-list-owners@mail-list.com Subject: County on alert for hepatitis A - SACRAMENTO -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- County on alert for hepatitis A By Elizabeth Hume -- Bee Staff Writer Published 2:15 a.m. PST Saturday, November 15, 2003 SACRAMENTO - County Public Health officials have issued a health alert after an employee of the Elephant Bar restaurant on Arden Way was diagnosed with hepatitis A. Family members and restaurant employees are at the highest risk of contracting the disease, said Dr. Glennah Trochet, county health officer. Restaurant patrons are unlikely to contract the curable disease, but dates of possible transmission are Oct. 30 and 31 and Nov. 5 to Nov. 7. Concerned diners should see their physicians. Treatment can be administered within 14 days of exposure. Hepatitis A attacks the liver, but unlike hepatitis B and C, most people recover from hepatitis A, Trochet said.
