Hhappy
Next stop was Phantasialand. I've lost count on the number of visits i have made to this park over the years. Ended up being a nice relaxing day without stressing about getting pictures.. (so this update will not be that picture heavy) Looking forward to whenever a new coaster will be added to this park.. it needs something new Sure the rides are still fun and the chocolate shooter is cool as well.. but it would not hurt to get a new coaster there Winja's were fun (as they always are) nighthawk was no-hawk and Black Mamba was running surprisingly well. All in all a fun day let's start this update with some Winja love if you see this.. you're on the right way to the ride going up the stairs choises what the???? Hilltopper39
Great pictures as always Hanno, I know Black Mamba gets pretty average reviews as a coaster from people around but man that thing look like a champ in pictures. Winjas is probably one of my top 10 "Want to Ride" coasters in the world simply because I have absolutely no idea what the heck the thing does. I know it's a spinning coaster, and it's indoors, but other than that I have no clue which is rather rare in the coaster world these days.
cfc
Hollywood Tour is much better than Disney's studio tours in Florida and France. Where else can you see a giant ape take on a PT boat? Plus, it has a shark (of sorts). Edited August 20, 2012 by cfc

televisedconfession
All mornings should start out with some Winjas Love! This seriously was one of my favorite coasters of the trip... and my stupid drunk:butt: caused me to miss out on ERT!!!! DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE DRAGON BAR!! (ugh) But seriously, Winjas was AWESOME. If you don't know anything about this ride, leave it that way. Let it surprise you. You won't be sorry. I loved this park. I think it was my favorite non-Europa park on this trip. I love the rapids ride, I love the totally unexpected Intamin Indoor Drop Tower, I loved the messed up Night Hawk (which people told me was an indoor SLC, and actually believed them). All around this park was amazzzzing. Loved every hung-over moment of this day. Even the rain storm that flooded the restaurant. I miss this park. jynx242
Just got to get all caught up on this report Hanno. As always, thank you so much for the wonderful pictures!! It was great to see so many familiar faces having a blast! I'm only "slightly" envious .

Hhappy
It's time for that final update (aka the last day of the trip) I managed to spent a bit of time at Disneyland Paris with friends the next day.. but took hardly any pictures.. So let's end this trip report with Parc Asterix. The place was packed.. and with packed i mean really really packed.. like 2,5 hour waiting time for Goudurix (which is just pain) and basically every other ride had a line overflowing into the paths.. The place was busy.. Thanks to some awesome wristbands (thank you Robb and Elissa for organising those) we managed to get on every single coaster (and other major ride) with time to spare. The parks latest addition was Oz'Iris. The hype around this ride was just.. ehm insane.. but for whatever reason it just disappointed the day we got to visit the park.. i've never felt this much rattle on a B&M before.. and with rattle i'm also including headbanging (SLC like) in this case.. Something must have happened to the ride in the days before our visit.. or the hype was just too big.. i had read plenty of reports that the ride was fun/awesome etc.. but if i compare the ride i got the day we were there to the rides we got on Monster during this trip or even Black Mamba.. it just sucked. Walygator's Monster was awesome, even Black Mamba had more forces and was running better. At some points in the ride (Oz'Iris) it felt like the ride would stall and barely make it around the elements (and track) and then there was that rattle.. Fingers crossed they fixed whatever was wrong with the ride that day and it's running better at this time.. but yeah.. not sure if i want to ride it again (any time soon) Sometimes you get lucky and a ride is running awesome.. and sometimes it just ain't working... not much we can do about it.. But at least we stil have the pictures. first stop of the day it looks so pretty entrance to this ride has been moved (and the ride renamed (i think)) hmm why so pissed? inside of the station looks pretty darn good owh beep, looks like it's going to be crowded today wth? inside area thanks Big Mike for the giant Ducky fun for the entire family owh my... let's do something else first so funky nice place to chill and relax yeah.. guess we'll have to check this out.. scream if you regret getting on this ride it does look pretty from this angle so.... play with some balls or... .. ride this coaster?? the answer is 24 it's only the first drop folks... hang in there.. you're almost "home" ok, time for a bit more of that new B&M called Oz'Iris lovely color combination loop de loop just rollin so many small theming details in the areato look at here they come hmm, looks like somebody forgot something? watch out for that pole time to eat some bugs turning turning and turning just crossing the queue blue skies always help enjoying the sunshine yeah.. loop de loop going down... wth? plenty of space to look at the ride.. although it's moving away most of the time.. going up that's a lot of fog the line is still on the pathway lifthill shot waiting for a bit more green look behind you folks (and not at my camera) going up... yeah, it looks pretty (in a way) don't forget to get your onride picture.. top of the loop hmm, gravity owh wait.. there's that bright color again.. it does look pretty and there goes the iphone (do you see it?) darn green stuff happy feet getting ready for the loop pretty clouds something is missing... make way for the train this looks a bit different (compared to my previous visit) taking a shower the easy way hmm, logflume time to leave.. maybe (one day) i'll be back.. maybe... cfc
But one must admit that OzIris is very photogenic, at least.
Hilltopper39
It's a shame to hear such negative reports on Oz Iris. While some of the newer B&M's are forceless and somewhat underwhelming I've never found a B&M anywhere that I found to be painful or un-rideable by any means. Even some of their older stand ups like Vortex and Iron Wolf seem to still be in decent shape. B&M, in my opinion, is one of the most consistent coaster companies around as far as smoothness and over all quality, so a review this bad of a brand new coaster is really odd. Hope they get it figured out, whatever it is, because it looks like a fantastic attraction.
Meteornotes
Awesome photos! OzIris looks great, but it rides like crap. Not only was it the usual forceless slow ride we've come to expect from modern B&M, but the rattle/shuffle was quite pronounced and bad, so much so that I had quite the headache after two rides. The hype on this ride was just overboard. Parc Asterix that day was one of the busiest park days I've ever seen. And I cannot believe anyone would wait in line for Goudurix, let alone 2.5 hours! dt
shivtim
More great pics! Thanks Hanno! I didn't think OzIris was that bad. But there's the problem - for such a beautiful-looking and hyped coaster, it's a disappointment to only be able to say it's "not bad." I found the rattle to be only minor, but it was indeed the roughest B&M of the trip. The first drop in the back seat had a nice bit of air, and there was one more drop near the end of the ride with a pop of air. The positive G's just weren't there. The visuals and theming were top notch. It's a great addition to the park, and the public loved it, but I greatly preferred Black Mamba and Monster. ernierocker
You certainly made OzIris look awesome. Too bad the ride experience doesn't appear to be the same.
Ed Farmer
I remember reading posts declaring that it looked just as intense as Batman right around the time that it began it's test cycles.
