Hhappy
It's time for the final day in Italy update. Gardaland.  Going through the pictures.. i realised i hardly took any that day. Sorry about that. Guess my last visit there (for Raptor opening) was still too fresh (or it was just too hot that day)  Had a fun day there and took some pictures of Raptor.  Here's a bunch of pictures in the order that they were taken during the day  enjoy. early morning.. the most important stuff is being entered in the saloon first look at Raptor behind the trees time to check out some other things in the park.. is it fear or is it joy?? i don't know it looks so pretty they do have this thing in the park as well Mammut is a fun and popular ride. drop train and church.. yeah time to cool down a bit it's always fun to hang out in this area of the park funky train it's theming looks like a sponsored train looks like air hmmm another pretty look (i think) loop still waiting for that train yeah, it's fun to hang out in this area going up a big kiddie credit ladies ok, time to focus a bit more on Raptor with train going down X-Labs heading for the tree through some theming behind the rocks it's only fog it's the skyline... .. not the train that makes this fun ride interaction smile yeah, you can walk underneath the ride blue skies going up the lifthill going over the main entrance for this area getting pretty darn close more interaction with the theming through the trees yummie happy riders see them flying... i think i see familiar faces scream if you like it what's Craig doing?? trying not to throw up (like after Insane?) fun for all ages yeah, it's still pretty Edited July 19, 2012 by Hhappy

StealthFan
I think you will find what I was doing was trying to breath as that restraint got tighter and tighter on me during the ride and pretty much stopped all blood flow through my body.

Erik Johnson
The restraints was the only way to make those coasters thrilling. Now, you really feel like you are going to die.

David H
Just curious how heavily the mid-course brake on iSpeed was on during your visit. On my first visit in 2009, I didn't really notice it, though it might have been because I only got two rides, and it was still new to me. But on my visit last year, it was really noticeable, at least to a coaster nerd like me. It's still a great ride, but I wonder how much better it might be without it on. Â Great TR, Hanno! Hhappy
After a fun day driving through Switzerland and France we made it to our next hotel.  Time for the first stop on the Europe part.  Walygator Park.  I'm not sure what to think of this park. Lately i've heard some stories about it being terrible.. but compared to my last visit (2008) it did not look that bad. Sure, if you are looking for things you can find them, but overall the park was clean and looked decent. There were plenty of guests around..  Monster is an awesome addition to the park. This ride without midcourse brakes was just plain oldschool B&M awesome. Anaconda looked not as bad as it used to be (they seemed to have it slowed down to a crawl which made it mostly (boring and) bearable). It was ok for a few hours.. but the next stop was way better  Anyway, here's a few pictures from an overcast Walygator visit. somewhere in Switzerland somebody got way too excited... ok.. let's see what happens today.. the park map no brakes loop de loop rolling lots and lots of steel behind the green stuff the station of Monster. No roof.. but who needs a roof? all the twisty bits a new possibility to look at Anaconda.. some random theming looks like a fun ride ok, here they go again happy riders it's only gravity guys don't forget to breath scream if you like it yummie even more yummie bits and a last look at Monster so yeah.. this is the exit of the Anaconda station and here are a few riders... how many braincells are missing/destroyed?? enjoy the ride guys... holding on.. no hands in the air?? ouch... just holding on the first drop ok, no more riders/trains.. time to check out some more bits of the park apple loop skloosh there's a coaster in the background.. wait?? what?? cool standing in the same position as during my last visit.. don't worry be happy more random kids stuff old cars covered entrance area, next stop... cfc
If they've installed Desperadoes . . . Â Â . . . they're definitely improving. Â Glad to hear that they're trying to spruce the park up a bit.
SharkTums
I agree, I thought the park looked much better this year than in 2008 and that TR from earlier in the season was either really trying or they've cleaned up a lot. Â Monster was awesome, just as good as when it was in Japan which was a very nice surprise. They've also added a ton of kiddie rides around the park and improved food options. Â I still don't get all the classic car stuff they do? Every time we've been there there's been some sort of car show going on!
shivtim
Nice pics! Walygator was better than I expected. Monster was fantastic - glass smooth and lots of intensity! Anaconda was boring, but wasn't even the worst woodie on the trip (thanks, Bandit).
krazekiddd
I really enjoyed my time here! The super amazing dunked into chocolate waffles were freaking delicious!
Meteornotes
The park was much nicer than it was in 2008, and Monster was amazing and much better than the other new B&M invert in France. Â You would have to pay me a considerable amount of money to ride Anaconda again, though. Â dt
Geauga Dog
Are they ever going to finish painting Monster? It looks like crap with the rust, especially in the photo where there are no mid-course brakes.

Hhappy
After a nice drive from Walygator we made it to the home of one of the best coasters in the world. Holiday Park (and Expedition GeForce) Â Recently the park became part of the Plopsa chain. Compared to my last visit they had changed the entrance area (brand new entrance) and they just opened a new kids area during our visit. That kids area looked awesome and you could totally see all the families with kids spending (more) time in the park. The rest of the park looked clean, all kinds of small improvements had been made and... they were running 2 trains on expedition GeForce I can't remember the last time i got to see that. Â It was nice to walk around the park, get more pictures of the expedition and just relax for a little while. Pretty sure i will be going back to the park next year. Looking forward to future improvements to the park first look (for me) at the new entrance area yeah, this just screams plopsa to me pretty colors and there is the tree nice touch (totally forgot to take a look inside) but yeah.. it's still orange and awesome but first things first.. water cannon improvement around the logflume this thing is still there so is the will mouse, but now with a driving school next to it ok, time for some Geforce pictures pipi station is still there that drop... hauling .... no more brakes in this area getting air so yeah, craig just showed his true nature... just look at the evil look on that face... sigh close up first drop fun just looking up i see hair it's called hairtime for a reason yeah yummie lots and lots of fun more hair better then sex?? only smiling faces another look at that first drop.. hmmm scream happy to see there is still plenty of green around here they come pretty , could i please please have one at home??? yeah, had to get one of these happy riders can a park get any better?? time for a darkride score too late it's party time wait, there's a dragon as well ok, this really looks like Plopsa the other side of the tree kids having fun so many kid friendly rides in this new area see? food thing underneath the tree hmmm yeah, lots and lots of families in this area they look so happy back to GeForce evil evil (plans) i see joy hairtime No brakes last train of that day
SharkTums
I believe this was my fifth visit to the park and I couldn't believe how great it looked! So happy that Plopsa came in and truly made it an awesome family park that just happens to have the number one coaster on the planet!
attack7
Fantastic photos, Hanno. Anxious to return to Holiday Park to get some more time in on GeForce. Â I was not prepared at all for how insane that ride is.
cfc
I remember back in 2008 that I loved GeForce and the dark ride, but thought that the rest of the park needed work--nice to see that it got it courtesy of Plopsa.
Meteornotes
Yes, the park looks a lot better now, and it certainly seemed busier. They've done a great job with the upgrades. Â dt
