I305KD
Hersheypark - April 8th, 2012 I visited Hershey on Easter this year. The crowds weren't to bad. The longest we waited was about 30 minutes. We left at 4 o'clock because the Hershey Bears game started at 5 o'clock and we wanted to be early. Well, here are the pictures. Enjoy! Skyrush is truly a beauty! It wasn't fair that we couldn't ride it. Fahrenheit broke down early in the day, but reopened so we can ride it. That happened quite a bit last year. I hope it doesn't become a habit. G-FORCES!!! Great Bear was running exceptional that day! The forces were fantastic! I even got a small pop of airtime. Who doesn't love zero-g rolls? Storm Runner felt really fast. Even though some redneck said they toned it down. Into the unknown. Pure Awesomeness! Sidewinder.....eh. Wildcat = roughness The GC after a 1 - 0 loss to the Whale. I was a mad person. Outside the GC after the game. That's all I have for this TR.
Voxelmatic
Nice trip report! But Wildcat is no rougher than Comet... At least to me.
I305KD
We weren't able to ride Comet or SooperDooperLooper. Looper was still being refurbished, and Comet's line was insane. Thanks!
I305KD
I haven't posted on here in a long time! But, I've been to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Hershey again, SFGAdv twice, and SFNE. Here my trip report from Great Adventure on August 3, 2012. That day was Great Adventure Online Day and we got a backstage tour of Kingda Ka! It was really cool being right under the launch track. Me and my friend Andrew (nitro4ever) got to the park around 2:30. After a quick stop at Wawa, we headed into the park. Since he has a season pass, we got free parking. And I got in the park for 20 bucks! Ride Count: Nitro 1x Deja Vu 1x Jolly Roger 1x Kingda Ka 1x El Toro 1x Bizarro 1x Sky Screamer 1x Kingda Ka from our parking space. Green Lantern as we head to the entrance. Green Lantern's yellow loop. Superman from the parking lot. We headed to Sky Screamer first. We waited for about 10 minutes. We had an awkward encounter with a 7 year old trying to get me to date her sister. lol We were just about to ride, but there was a thunderstorm coming. So we left and we headed to Nitro. We went for some more B&M awesomeness after Nitro. Batman was close so that's where we went. The wait was 15 minutes. But it closed as we were going to ride. So we decided to head toward the Stunt Arena and The Old Country to see what was left. We heard thunder and realized we weren't riding any coasters for a while. So we headed to Deja Vu. Then we looking for some credit whoring. We stumbled upon Jolly Roger. We met up with the rest of the group at the fountain. After waiting under an awning for about 10 minutes, we headed toward Ka to wait for the tour to start. It turns out that part of the park lost power. So Robbie Towns, our tour guide, had to take care of it. We stood around and talked with a couple of employees for about an hour and a half. Everything got back up and running and we started the tour. The remains of the green train. We found our self standing near the launch track for a while. A TTD style shot. More of the tower. I can get enough of this ride. SPIRAL!!! Airtime! Up the tower. Inside the tower! Rolling Thunder is visible too! We eventually made our way to the hydro-room. It was a cool experience. But, we couldn't take pictures. Shortly after I took this, we headed back where the tour ended. But, there was a surprise! We got to ride without waiting! We eventually ran to El Toro where we scored the back seat with no line. The we rode Bizarro in the 2md row. Then we sprinted to Sky Screamer where I kind of freaked out but we had a great day! biker7766
When you siad Jolly Roger, did you mean Blackbeards Lost Treasure Train, or actually the family ride Jolly Roger? Jolly Roger is just a flat ride that goes in a circle.
