Hilltopper39
I think Missouri will be okay against the majority of the sec, just not against the elite defenses like LSU, Bama, South Carolina, Florida, or Georgia. They should be able to compete with everyone else.

Jew
Another week down, more questions about the rest of the season: Â Are FSU and KSU for real? FSU appears to now be in the drivers seat for a BCS title bid with a weaker schedule ahead, but it still only week 4. Was that LSU/Auburn game telling of LSU, or a fluke? Is Notre Dame finally legit, or Michigan just that over rated? Â All that matters to me is USC moves up a few spots by default.
Meteornotes
I think Notre Dame looks good, not great. They did some dumb stuff in that game last night. Still, they are 4-0. Â dt
simaticable
^^ Both teams just having an off day with Denard just throwing interceptions right and left. If you look at the past three years, Michigan only won by 4 in each of those games. I bet if they were on their game, Michigan could've won. Â ^Both teams did stupid things. Hilltopper39
I was pretty impressed with Florida State, they're athletic and have a lot of big time playmakers. I'm not going to look to far into LSUs close win. I still think LSU is an elite team but I think Auburn had a lot to play for and aren't as bad as people might have thought. Next weeks LSU @ Florida should be a huge matchup and the first real test for either team. Â I stayed up later than usual last night to watch Oregon and Arizona and was pretty impressed with Oregon. Everyone knows how fast and explosive they are but their offensive efficiency and toughness on defense made them really look like a complete team to me. With that being said I still think they will struggle against really big athletic defensive fronts like Bama and LSU and maybe even FSU. I could be wrong but I just don't see them being able to make as many plays in space against guys that are bigger faster and stronger then they are. Â And Arkansas continues to be a complete train wreck, even knowing off season issues surrounding Petrino I don't think anyone saw this start coming. ParkTrips
I am very happy that GT doesn't have to play FSU this year, they look solid. Since Miami is the game that we lost that we should have won, I guess its time to figure which game do we win that we should lose - Clemson or UGA? Given history, I'm going with Clemson =/ Â I don't typically discount an SEC win as an unimpressive win (there are some exceptions, but Auburn this year is not one of them)
Hilltopper39
^Yeah I don't think Auburn is sneaking up on anyone this year, but Jordan-Hare is a tough place to play regardless, especially in a night game for LSU. I don't think Auburn is going to compete for a BCS game or anything but looking at their schedule it's not far fetched for them to win 6 of their next 8. Â This week doesn't have any really elite matchups but there are some decent games mixed in here and there. Baylor at West Virginia could turn into a ridiculous shootout, Ohio State Michigan State should be a nice match up of two slow teams with a little talent, and Oklahoma State should be the first real test for Texas. Â Also, not that anyone cares, but Western Kentucky at Arkansas State is big game in the Sunbelt Conference between probably two of the better mid majors in the country. Go Tops. ernierocker
So, Tennessee at Georgia this Saturday. If they were to play that game 10 times, I could see Tennessee winning 2 of them barely. Let's hope this week is one of those 2. Â If UT somehow pulls off this one, they could easily win 9 games this season with the momentum off of Dooley's first meaningful win of his career. Hilltopper39
That is a game that I think has a lot of meaning surrounding it. I'm not totally out on Tennessee for this season yet, and I'm starting to think that Georgia might be the real deal and a team that can seriously contend for the SEC/National title. If Tennesse wins or keeps it close that might show they are legitimate and making steps in the right direction as a program, and Georgia is still Georgia. But if Georgia beats them by 30 it might show Georgia is a legit title contender.
Hilltopper39
Oh Tennessee, I know this story has nothing to do with football but it was to good not to share. There is still no official word on weather not Tyler Bray was involved but no one was injured by thrown glass bottles so it's probably safe to assume he wasn't present.... Ashley Hancock
South Carolina I still think they can be a 7 or 8 win team. Â I think SCarolina has the right combo's to win it all this year... Yes they have Georgia and LSU ahead of them this year, but Im more concerned about Florida... They could be the Sleeping giant with that air attack they been showing lately. If they get passed Florida with no losses, then its SEC Championship game with BAMA... and nobody can handle BAMA. Hilltopper39
^Yeah, the more I watch South Carolina the more I think they really do have a shot to compete with Alabama. They are fast and physical on defense and have a nice downhill power running game, which you have to have to beat Alabama. I think Bama is way to athletic defensively for someone to throw the ball all over them or successfully run any type of fancy finesse offense option offense (see West Virgina or Oregon). With that being said to beat them I think you have to take some shots down field through the air and I don't know if South Carolina's QB (who ever it might be) is good enough to complete big time throws against that secondary under pressure. I think Georgia is better match up on paper to beat Bama, but if Lattimore get 30 carries Carolina has a shot against anyone (Browns and Jaguars included). Jew
We'll see how South Carolina looks in the next month: Georgia, @LSU, and @Florida is a slightly tougher quarter of the schedule than @Vanderbilt, East Carolina, UAB, and Mizzou at home. Hilltopper39
^Yeah that's a rough stretch right there, we'll see how good they really are. Georgia definitely won out in the SEC scheduling roulette of death this year by avoiding LSU, Bama, and Arkansas (which obviously now isn't that big of a deal but pre-season was). I think I still like Georgia to win the East, but I wouldn't be surprised if Florida or South Carolina wins out. Like I said earlier, the style of ball South Carolina plays with Lattimore healthy they can play with anyone.

Jew
Washington sure screwed up the PAC-12's hope at a national title contender. Actually, it was more like Stanford's QB and poor play calling (4th and 4 and you call a fade when your QB has been out of sync all night and you are still doing a good job controlling the LOS??). Hilltopper39
The Big 12 is terrible on defense, that West Virginia Baylor game was ridiculous.
