^That's true. It makes sense that they want to update their product but, you know, if it ain't broke don't fix it and if they really wanted to do something about the restraints they could think about starting to use lap bars on their looping rides as nowadays most big manufacturers at least offer that option.

Well looking at the 0 in the 2015 on that photo it is VERY similar to the logo for Oblivion at Alton Towers so I really wouldn't put it past Merlin to call this Oblivion.

 

Check page 16 on this pdf from merlin. It lists Gardaland's from 2010-2014, and says 2015 - 'Oblivion'.

I think it's great that they use the old restrains. With the new vests it kinda sits on your shoulders (leaves no space between shoulders and restrains) and with the old ones it leaves a few inches space between your shoulders and the restrain.

Woudn't it be awesome if B&M designed a lapbar restrain on their dive machines.
