Theme Park Review's Italy 2012 Tour!

Day One - Miragica

Day Three - Rome Sightseeing Day!

Day Four - Rome Credit Whore Day!

Day Five - Rainbow Magicland

Day Six - Fiabilandia & Randomness in Rimini!

Day Seven - Mirabilandia & Divertical POV!

Today kicks off the start of TPR's Italy Tour!

Technically the first two days are part of the "early add-on" in Bari, but it's the tour nonetheless! Let's just cut to the chase...onto the photos!

Our first park was a very interesting "small" park just outside of Bari called "Miragica."

I swear the mascot looks like it could be something right out of Theme Park Diva!

Oh, yes! It's the overly stupid Italy parks queue counting system! Fortunately here, it seems to be working.

First credit of the trip... A Zamperla mouse!

Yay! The trip has officially started!

Off they go!

It was KidTums' first spinning mouse! She obviously doesn't share Elissa's hatred for them!

I don't think Terrance liked it as much as KidTums did! =)

You can see the water from the top of the mouse!

Some POV video of the mouse and KidTums first ride on a spinning mouse!

The park has a small Intamin coaster that has been SBNO for about a month, and according to the park doesn't seem to be getting it open anytime soon. Strange.

Like Peter Griffon has taught us, just add an O onto any word and you too an speak Italian!

The park is pretty small, but overall very well themed!

Oh, this must be Renee's house....then again, it looks like there is a straw coming out of it, so maybe it's Piers!

They even have one of those elevator lift rapids rides!

And a very interestingly turned Disk-O Coaster!

Still rides pretty awesome.

Nice classic flat ride. (which also happened to be "new" this year...I wonder what park this one came from.)

I swear I've seen this same art set in Roller Coaster Tycoon!

Yummy Bacon!

Lol! It's a wine barrel themed drop tower! Piers would be proud.

Kinda sad they have the only decent sized coaster just sitting there closed.

Train is still there.

Doesn't look like its operated in a while. (We were told it's been over a month now it's been closed and no sign of anyone working on it.)

I swear this little park has more theming than most of the Six Flags parks combined!

First official beer of the trip! (and it's only 11:30am!)

Not gonna lie, I'm a huge fan of the park mascot! (and not that giant schoolboy thing!)

Love the "family friendly" souvenirs in the shop!

Back on the spinning mouse... Why? Why not!

Oh, evil child for making mommy do the teacups! (wait... I mean awesome child!)

The park seems to have an interesting "Storybook theme!"

Just in case you forgot what park we were at....

Except we're not at this park!

Really, Miragica was a very "cute" little park!

Lunch time in Italy = more awesome pizza! Seriously, the average theme park pizza in Italy is insanely better than any USA park (Except Epcot!)

"Another lunch with fresh mozzarella!"

Now THAT is a vegetarian pizza!

Bag-o-crap goes to the first person who can tell me the name of the what the guy is holding!

"Hey Scott... Want a slice?"

Cutting pizza "gangster style!" (We learned this from Scott's Pizza Tour in NYC!)

"It's milk & eggs, bitch!"

Not only was the pizza great... It was also very cheap for a whole pie!

Loved this evacuation blueprint of the park they had posted!

For you penny collecting nerds... Yup, you can get them in Euros, too!

Some aerial views from the drop tower.

While it's not a huge coaster...it's still a bummer the park doesn't seem to be in a hurry to get it up and running again.

miragica_05.jpg.2447baf966e970794111ad80ded75127.jpg

Yup, it's a mouse!

miragica_07.jpg.2789f27cec0fb20fe19e651437f84ebb.jpg

The drop tower is themed to crushing wine grapes! You know, it's a very common theme for a drop tower! =)

miragica_06.jpg.e926ba747b03c87d52fe5ca587410f70.jpg

Yup, that's the tower!

Another overview of the park...

And one more! (Now you can make this park in RCT!)

Some video of the drop tower:

And this concludes our first Italy tour park!

Thanks Miragica! We had a great day!

Now...to all of you reading this....

Maybe the Vatican needs to authorize an exorcism of demons from the Intamin cable. That's too bad--the ride looks fun.

What a great looking little park! To bad about that Intamin! Big time bummer...

It's a bummer yes, but honestly, there are a lot bigger coasters on this trip I'd be bummed if they were closed. The park ended up having a few nice surprises, so while yeah, bummed we didn't get the "credit" - this is not really a highlight coaster of the trip to have missed.

Per Bacco! is a beautiful tower that sins only in Free Fall but still a good launch and a good theming.

Too bad you found Senzafiato closed, is in maintenance by the end of May. I hope to reopen for the White Night of June 23. Compared to other Intamin is not who knows but for a park like Miragica is a Must..

Tomorrow you will go to the Zoo Safari / Fasanolandia?

^It is not closed for maintenance. That's just what they tell people. There is a part broken that they have been waiting for to be made. I don't know why it takes so long, but nothing we can really do. Oh darn, guess we'll have to come back!!

It looks like you're having an amazing time in Italianland - Thanks for sharing these updates. With every trip, I love to follow them and keep up to date with every trip's fun and insanity. I look forward to more!

EDIT: realized only now I forget the word time in one of the sentences. Fail!
