RCF
First time I ever rode a Skycoaster. The free-fall sensation when you first pull that rope got ! My face was most likely amazing to watch! It still gets me to this day, but not as bad as that first time.

Tomes1225
I wasn't scared, but caught off guard on ToT at DCA. I'm used to the Good Tower. I even told my little sister who was riding for the first time and was really nervous "don't worry, the car will move forwards before it drops." Needless to say, I was not expecting the drop whatsoever.
Moose
The first knockoff slc we ride in China scared the crap out of me. The restraints were so tight that i couldn't breathe, and that was before the ride even started.
pdcon
Im Not a huge fan of drop rides. So needless to say that Lex luthor scared the crap out of me, I think it scared me even more then Thrill shot In vegas.
Angry_Gumball
Any water slide that consists of a trap door vertical drop! That initial moment of climbing into the capsule, getting situated, and closing the door is enough to get you nervous. Top it off with what feels like you are standing straight up, maybe leaning against the wall in a shower stall. Once that trap door flops open, it feels like you have absolutely nothing under you until you hit the first curve. I was already getting nervous enough just walking up the tower and hearing the 'kerchunk...hissss' sounds the trap door was making. It was not so bad the second or 3rd time I did it but it is still very freaky! Â Also, having recently ridden CGA's sky coaster, it was my first time getting the honors of pulling the ripcord...which is far more scarier than having someone do it for you. The initial freefall moment where you are diving head first/bobbing really got me, though it was definitely a fun experience! Blue Fire Guy and I decided to try it out after debating shelling out the cash to do so. Â Skip to 3:06 for the dive, you can hear my almost classic Mortal Kombat-like scream coming down. Also please excuse the recording of the sky...while my cousin did hold her iPhone in the proper way of filming, she completely almost missed the action after the dive. Nrthwnd
The first knockoff slc we ride in China scared the crap out of me. The restraints were so tight that i couldn't breathe, and that was before the ride even started. Â That happened to me and Neil too, when we rode together on the same slc. Â For some reason, I had a bit of wriggle room, but Neil thought he was going to stop breathing, or pass out altogether! Fortunately, it didn't come to that, but it was scary-close all the same. Angle O. Descent
This may sound like a weird one, but I'd go with Jack Rabbit (Kennywood). The ride has no real restraints... only a single fixed-position bar holding you in (the ride was built in the 20's). I'm a small guy so there was a fair bit of room for me to get thrown around. The ejector airtime I got going down the double-dip was the first and only time I ever felt like I was actually going to get thrown off a roller coaster... scary as hell but SO awesome! screaminkid2005
I would have to say Skyrush! That ride scared the crap out of me to the point where it took me at least 5 rides until i could keep my hands up the whole time! Amazing ride though! =D
stashua123
Blacked out on Invertigo on my second time in a row at 9:50 P.M (yes i rode it twice in a row.) I never want to go on that ride again. Also blacking out on that ride makes me scared about going on B&M inverts and especially Vekoma SLC's. Â Rode the beast when i tiptoed to get to the height limit when i was 5 years old nuff said.
ArizonaGuy
Jokers Jinx scared me during the launch. I remember waiting in line for it for the first time, and it launched so loudly, I flinched, lol. I was so scared, and shaking when the op. said "All Clear, This Batch." Â Lmao@ "All clear, This batch". They say "All clear, Dispatch". Â In any case the coaster that scared me the most to date was Top Thrill Dragster. RCT3Bross
There are two rides I feared when I was at the Queue. Rock 'n Rollercoaster (DLP) because It I had a fear of Inversions back then. Well this ride changed my feelings about them but I was still shaking at the end of the ride. The other is Blue Fire (Europapark) and it is a silly fear. I somehow was put into a discomfort with the free legs, lap-bar and In-line twist combination but now I find it the best ride I ever ridden. TXthrills2010
Now usually, i can handle crazy rides on the Zipper, but a few months back me and a friend rode a Zipper at some random carnival in Houston on a really quiet night. The ride cycle must've been atleast 2+ minutes forwards and 2+ minutes backwards since there were no lines for the ride at all. It was terrible, the most awful ride experience of my entire life. I could also feel myself about to vomit during the ride. I've never been sick from a ride ever and this ride has scarred me for life. I am aware my story doesn't seem as intense, but it was.... Musketeer
The first time I rode Xcelerator at Knott's was a crazy adventure. I had sat out on a trip the year before but I was determined to conquer that fear. I was so scared the first time I rode it, I think that was the strongest i've ever gripped a lap bar ever! I turned around and rode it 10 times that visit after this though.
Noporian
Well, in my younger childhood a HUSS rainbow in my second closest park Linnanmäki scared the hell out of me. If i had to walk past it i made sure it was loading and otherwise i would stay 30 metres away from it. The sounds and the big creepy stalker sun scared me.  Nowadays there is nothing except the S&S slammers that scare me those things are so crazy
RaptorBoyASU
#1. Hurakan Condor - stand up floorless side - I have always had a mild drop tower phobia, and this escalated it to the next level. Â #2. X - It is so different an experience than any other coaster, and going up that first drop backwards was terrifying. I can't express how tight my grip was as the seats rotated on that first drop the first time (and even still) Â #3. Lex Luthor - See drop phobia mentioned above, add even more height, and the fact the towers sway so much when Superman launches. YIKES! Â #4. Skyrush - outside "wing" seat back row - Ok, everyone talked about how extreme the air was, but I wasn't expecting the pitch forward the outside seats give. I really did think I was going to be ejected. Â #5. Haunted Mansion @ Knoebel's. I think I may have actually shit myself from the horn the first time. coasterbear30
I thought I had entered my scariest ride in this thread but I guess I didn't. Â The first thing you should know is that I am scared of heights. When I first started travelling to ride coasters, I went with another enthusiast to Florida to BGT. Before we went I was super excited about riding SheiKra. I had seen lots of pictures of it and thought wow, what an amazing looking coaster. I had ridden Goliath at SFOG(also 200 feet) several times and loved it. Needless to say, when we got to BGT and I stood at the bottom of the first drop looking up at the terror on people's faces as they dropped I was like "no way in hell am I getting on this thing." It also looks ten times bigger in person! My friend was not happy but I just couldn't be convinced. We came home but returned to BGT 2 years later. I kept telling myself ok this time I am going to do it. We got there and I was so nervous but I made myself get on it. When we got to the top, I hated the "carousel" potion of the ride. I don't like being held up high for a long time. When we came to the hang part I was holding on for dear life, just waiting on the drop that I just knew would throw my stomach into my throat. It dropped and I screamed " ohhhh sshhhhhhhhiiiiittttttttt," but before the drop even ended I threw my hands in the air and knew I loved this coaster. I really enjoyed the rest of the ride and ran around to ride it again. I rode it at least 6 times that day and have been back 2 more times and rode it as much as I could. It is now in my top 5 steel coasters! Â The only other ride since then that has made me nervous and scream like a biotch was Top Thrill Dragster. I rode it this past October and even though I am not as scared of heights as I used to be, I knew that it was much taller than anything I had ridden, even though I had ridden 305 & MF previously. The launch also made me nervous because 80mph was the fastest launch I had been on. Well I was right about the launch, it took my breath. And even though I didn't notice the height, the drop made me scream just as much. Once again, I loved it and it made my top 5 steel. It may be a one trick pony but it is a trick that totally works and I loved it!
ArizonaGuy
^^ I will agree. Prior to TTD, the scariest coaster for me was Shiekra as well.
gisco
For the most part rides themselves don't really scare me much any more. Now the location of them might. My palms get sweaty just thinking about the rides on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. I have a huge fear of heights.

jray21
X's first drop in the front row scared me a ton, as did all the rides on the Stratosphere.
Double0Kevin
X-Scream for the win. That thing terrifies me. Â Xcelerator freaked me out the first time I rode it, but I loved it. It was mostly because I had never been on a launch coaster of that magnitude yet. Â Other than that, I don't fear most coasters anymore, except for my fear of getting the crap beat out of me. 3Mutts
Even though it is awesome and my number one, Skyrush really did make me think I was going to fall out (those forces coming out of the Stengel/over bank dive bent my back very far left). Mr.Roller77
This was way back when Magnum at Cedar Point opened for the first time. I really was scared out of my mind when I first got in line to ride. I delayed the ride for the first hour I was at Cedar Point- I went on Blue Streak first, then the mine ride, then Gemini, and then FINALLY, my father said, "Enough delays son, it's time to ride the big one!" Well, we did, and I'll NEVER forget it. Magnum XL-200 is not the biggest coaster in the world anymore, but when it first opened in 1989, it was the first Megacoaster, and it still is one of the very best! gforce1994
Any kiddie coaster - since I have to be paired up with a small kid. Try having a stranger grab you like crazy since they're scarred..
