^^Six Flags Magic Mountain makes it into the top 25 of North American parks.

I had no clue that the Korean parks had such high attendance. Lotte World had over a 30% increase in attendance?!?!

A few interesting things to note.

Very interesting to see how the Tokyo parks did due to the earthquake and resulting closure of the park for weeks. Realistically, I believe both parks were closed for several weeks so a 3-5% drop isn't actually that bad!

What's going on with Everland in Korea? Such a big drop at both their park and water park? Hadn't heard much about the South Korean economy, but this is certainly interesting.

Same with Williamsburg, looks like they had a bad year with both Busch Gardens and Water Country seeing significant drops.

Looks like next year Europa has a chance to beat the Disney Studios for a solid 2nd place in Europe!

Those of you surprised about Six Flags? Really?

Williamsburg had a pretty "off" year in general in 2011. At least, Colonial Williamsburg and the local hotel owners were all crying in their beer about it. The Mach Tower mess probably hurt BGW quite a bit, too--delaying the opening of your new ride, even if it is just a drop tower, from May until August certainly couldn't have helped business. Vanish Point, Water Country's new slide for 2011, was fun, but didn't have all that much of a "wow" factor, but a 7.8 percent drop is pretty bad. Maybe they should consider going for some more "extreme" attractions along the lines of Mammoth or Wildebeest.

It'll be interesting to see what Verbolten does for BGW. The public really seems to like it a lot.

It's interesting to see in the full report that there isn't a water park outside of Orlando that does more than 1 million people per year! It's crazy to think that the combination of those 4 Orlando water parks get more visitors than the next 10 water parks on the list combined!

Where money and stability appear, attendance at parks increases. Funny to see that Brazil's death trap parks were able to be counteracted in Latin America by the gains in Colombia (now with 75% less kidnapping!). Heck, Parque Mundo Aventura wasn't even in the top ten in 2009, and here it is #4.

Eagle Fortress closed!

I think they need another kick ass Intamin to replace that and boost attendance. It's the right thing to do!

How did Sea World San Antonio make it into the top 25? When I went there was never anybody there.

The park is open almost year-round, so there's a lot of dates to spread that attendance around. I can't speak for the rest of the city, but I prefer to visit the local parks in spring or fall, when it's not 100 degrees every day.
