2) On that small coaster next to the Doo Wop (the red tracked Mad Mouse coaster), please no disrespect on the Flitzer. It may be a small coaster, but it can pack a lot of thrills like the giant-sized coaster. I wish more parks had this type of coaster.

I do love these types of rides and wish more parks had them. They are pretty amazing for such a small coaster.

^^They're okay. It just kind of changes from a headbanging ride to a whole body banging ride. Realistically, that's more comfortable as you don't get an instant headache from it anymore!

What Elissa said. They are an improvement, but not a huge one.

Was just at Wildwood on Monday. You got pictures of the evil water slide that gave me an instant ear infection.

I loved the Flitzer, that was a cute little coaster. Actually I think I enjoyed all but The Great Nor'Easter. Yes, i actually liked a boomerang more than an SLC. Not by much though.

Great update Joey. I still need to get to Clementon. I fear for my life though.

Time for another update! Knoebel's! This was one of the most epic TPR days I have ever had! This was one of those parks that I had always heard about and was dying to visit. It did not disappoint! If there is one park that is the food Mecca of the US, this is absolutely it! I seriously have never eaten so much as I did here. I did get a lot of pictures, but I was eating everything so fast that I missed some of it! Besides eating some of the greatest amusement park food there is, they also have a really fun collection of rides. It was extremely rainy throughout the day, but we lucked out for the most part. They keep a ton of stuff open even when it's raining! It's amazing how much they kept open! It's so frustrating how almost all the other parks absolutely shut down at a single drop of rain, but this place stays open even during a virtual monsoon!

We also took a break mid-day to visit the GCI offices! It was amazing, but I can't find my pictures . It was really really cool to see where and how a coaster starts! It was a great tour, and another awesome surprise! TPR is really amazing at putting together coaster trips! I can't say it enough!

As amazing as everything was during the day, the greatest part was the evening ERT! The 'Glow Fest" ERT on Phoenix was by far the most epic ERT session I've ever had! It was amazing how much they let us bring on the ride, and also how absolutely crazy Phoenix was running! I never could just let myself ride it without holding on. The bar is so high even when down all the way that I always chickened out because it seriously felt like I would fly out! It really was the most incredible day! I This park really has it all. Incredible employees, food, rides, and atmosphere. This is definitely a park I will get to again real soon! Thank you Knoebels and TPR for setting up what was one of the best days I've ever had at a park!

There is no better way to start the day than with a breakfast sandwich from a gas station Blimpie!

Day3RTCP003.jpg.177cf795e2e9e23368978ab7236dcfde.jpg

Are we really going to eat breakfast from a Petrol station?!

Day3RTCP002.jpg.7a36cf4da44948947431e9aaef37d603.jpg

The pretzel bread breakfast sandwich was actually pretty good!

Muffin or Fancy?

Day3RTCP005.jpg.1d80da14f4a9a55a4411103deacda9f5.jpg

Definitely Fancy!

Day3RTCP006.jpg.432beff3b2cdd8062131a45a1bed1aaf.jpg

I decided to pick up a few snacks from the gas station as well. Devil Dogs, Tasty Kake, it's almost like a different country!

Day3RTCP007.jpg.3b053547f296108e28bf2178a248c048.jpg

Yay! We made it to Knoebels!

Day3RTCP008.jpg.7cf9167bead91a91b758e3d335580702.jpg

Wow, this is one massive parking lot! I'd hate to see it when it's full!

He heard that to be a true gangster, you need to have one sock up, and one down.

Rick Knoebel himself greeted us in the morning and gave us some history of the park!

Someday...Someday. Maybe.

First up was ERT on Twister! It's a really fun ride!

Day3RTCP013.thumb.jpg.05edcfe9c99af7e1fb637ab5e144ea02.jpg

I loved their height check signs. They had a lot of really cool ones throughout the park.

Day3RTCP014.jpg.e40435d7b77d6aaaae3088aed700ce52.jpg

Rick Knoebel then talked about Twister and how the design was derived from Mister Twister.

Day3RTCP015.jpg.ca202dee199c39d188fb3d0ac05a8be2.jpg

They even have a Mister Twister bolt as part of the ride.

Day3RTCP016.thumb.jpg.f4098f37a7b4ec2549e023550639633d.jpg

All ready for the first ride on Twister!

Day3RTCP017.jpg.76361b18e90ad97bd2c1bceb4e3aecd2.jpg

Some happy, and terrified, faces on Twister!

Day3RTCP018.thumb.jpg.54eda4a8bd24d96cba4b32f0d5e8245e.jpg

No air gates! It's great that places like this still exist in the US!

Day3RTCP019.jpg.009dc47d75afe4af18c5d8493683b764.jpg

Larry definitely enjoyed his ride on Twister!

Day3RTCP020.jpg.0fcf6d431000dc2c8a9f68c1e9ee3395.jpg

Cliff is really making an "I need beer" face.

Day3RTCP021.jpg.c7660efd05cfbd471864f7c9fa9b653c.jpg

The park is in a really nice wooded area.

Day3RTCP022.jpg.fce6c9b0601f1902bd3562b780c2d1f0.jpg

People who don't go on a TPR trip wait in that line, while those who do go on a TPR trip walk right on!

Day3RTCP023.thumb.jpg.af33b487ea8d02d422fc8fc566d1e317.jpg

I love how the park clearly puts up front that it is only one train operation. That is so much better than places like SFMM and Riddlers Revenge where the line looks really really short but due to one train it really is about an hour line, but you don't find out until it's too late.

Day3RTCP024.jpg.8a528f0688454e2c0843026c50bdd664.jpg

I've heard that the bugs are bigger in the midwest, but a yellow jacket the size of the track is ridiculous!!!

Day3RTCP025.jpg.9960a1c812148d87535c2b48831578fe.jpg

Martin's got Leslie Hall glitter hands!

Day3RTCP026.jpg.d6f6d1c790f5a79804c2eb43a6e2c9b1.jpg

Cliff still really needs his beer!

Day3RTCP027.jpg.ab70a8a580f9c1d63fa2f788ed10ce63.jpg

Phoenix has some absolutely insane ejection air. Spears is 1' or more out of her seat!

Day3RTCP028.jpg.4f3b18b73b8fe8a27b9f1e9f2232c6aa.jpg

Gotta love ERT!

Day3RTCP029.jpg.2a95f87ca2009a6d70b1de73253cb351.jpg

There are some cool views from the station!

Day3RTCP030.jpg.5c0ab9316ebc5051eaf3c12814d37dc2.jpg

Joe takes his coaster riding very very seriously.

Day3RTCP031.jpg.ae10de65bc75a45810a5f9fe0f9a9039.jpg

Three wheels off the track make for some massive ejection air!

Day3RTCP032.jpg.c304785d57512f64bd9d41ba1de03518.jpg

Finally, some food!!! This was the fried veggie sampler. I think it had onions, cauliflower, zucchini, and mushrooms. Amazing stuff!

These guys were playing the pee out the fire game.

Day3RTCP034.jpg.aebef5d08dde6bc43ab6396a6bb0df9b.jpg

I probably had a good three gallons of White Birch Beer soda this day. It's a soda somewhat similar to Root Beer, but more amazing.

Day3RTCP035.jpg.860729fdf22954aaee8aeb0199cef1b7.jpg

The world's longest update.

Day3RTCP036.jpg.a281c65a455b32873a25b12353d120fe.jpg

They still have the grab-the-ring thing on the carousel!

I'd rather just take the money.

Another rare classic flat ride that makes this place awesome. It's really cool to see it rotate while keeping the cabins from going upside down.

Day3RTCP039.thumb.jpg.47434ace6e025733b9f2144eafee45a8.jpg

It really is an amazing looking park!

Day3RTCP040.jpg.397143b791322a124073b2c1f237db0d.jpg

They're dog friendly! How awesome!

You mentioned Larry, but I didn't see him anywhere.

I see (or don't see) that my attire worked.

And Joey is not exaggerating about how much food he ate, I think he was actually a sandwich during Phoenix ERT.

I'm still sad that I didn't stop on my way to Hershey and meet the tour at Knoebels

It looks like this day was an absolute blast.

I am still amazed on your ability to find all the food you do. I will be at the same park as you on the same day (this time it was two days later) and every time you find the most amazing food that i seem to miss.

Joey did have help with some park veterans pointing out the good food. However, it didn't matter to Joey he ate everything he encountered with or without a recommendation.

Oh yeah, that was one great Photo Trip Report on Knoebles (even though it was done last year due to the fact that the Black Diamond Ride was still under construction during your visit)!

Even though you featured a few rides, there were so many other rides you could have shown that would be interesting to the other riders and amusemnt park flyers and make them want to come on down to Knoebles. First, you could have shown them the Looper, perhaps the only one of its kind. Then how about the Whip? No park in Pennsylvania would ever operate without The Whip. The Tea cups ride is also unique (I only saw one other ride like that and it's in Adventureland, Iowa). And lest I forget, the park has two carousels, two train rides, and the merry mixer. Plus no pictures of the Haunted House, Knoeble's famous dark ride (for shame, for shame)? And did you know that in one of the stores they have a carousel musuem that features many carousel horses on display?

So what can you do about it? Well, at least you have a good excuse to return to Knoebels. I know I will this coming October because I have more Fascination and Pokereno tickets to win.

The best omission from his report though? Disturbing commentary from an alter-ego pillow. Joey wins.

The best way to criticize someone else's trip report is to write your own damn trip report.

Your opinion has been duly noted and logged.

They definitely did help a ton! All the recommendations were perfect! I did try a few 'extras' but the veterans did pick the best of the best.

"I wish you would win more 'go straight to bed' tickets."

I couldn't tell if you were joking through part of it, or seeming a little bit rude, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you were trying to be funny. Anyway, I do have a lot of those photos you mentioned, but they just ended up not being used. I actually took over 800 photos that day, and as much as I'd love to show them all, I don't think many people would ever come back to look at my reports! As it is, using 100 photos each update is already too much as it is. I'll try harder next time.

I have been waiting for this report of Knoebels. Awesome as always Joey, that was an amazing day. Awesome food, Phoenix, Twister, and glow ERT pretty much made for the best day on the trip. Knoebels really is one of those parks that everybody needs to visit once. I almost forgot that we went to that gas station and got those sandwiches.

Anyone can take countless pictures of the same rides that we already have countless pictures of in the park index etc. I love Joey's take on parks, some rides and some great park food being shoved into his somehow not fat face (I hate you).

This is probably the most obnoxious post you have ever made, which is saying a lot.

Putting that ridiculous aside, great TR, Joey!

I double dog dare anyone to go to a park with Cliff and try to drink half as much beer as he does and then ride the most spinny stuff you can find. Good luck with that, let me know how that works out for ya

Haha, Knoebels was alcohol free if I remember correctly, but the next day at Hershey definitely was not. ie. Cliff and Piers.
