Hhappy
Keeping up with the recent theme.. Today's picture is from Rutschebanen at Bakken (same 09 trip)
cfc
The double-down on that ride was crazy.
ernierocker
Looks like it packs quite a punch judging by everyone's reaction!
simon8899
I've been visiting Tivoli Gardens for over 20 years now and it's the best brakemen woodie available. And over all this time Tivoli is keeping the brakemen so these guys know their ride inside out and are able to ride it to the limit. Compare Rutschebanen to the taller Vouristorata at Linanmaki the brakemen at the latter nearly push their trains around the curves and sometimes you fear the train wouldn't make the hill... DougMJr
I really hope I get the chance to ride a brakeman woodie some day, the POV looks really awesome.
Sneaky
Very nice picture, Hanno. That was the last year with the brakeman on that coaster. In 2010 the trains were replaced with new trains from Kumbak, which don't require a brakeman. This coaster is also shown in a commercial on the dutch television. I agree Tivoli Gardens was the best of the side friction coasters with brakemen that I have ridden, Bakken's was the second best but Bakken doesn't have brakemen anyone do they? David H
Is it time to go back yet!?!? Can't wait to ride a non-neutered version of this ride again! Don't be so sure. I'm not sure why, but on our trip there last year, it wasn't giving nearly the INSANE rides you guys all got. A few people got good rides, but most of us didn't, even when we loaded the cars very unevenly. Maybe it was just having a bad day? Maybe it's settled into being less insane? I'm not sure. But I know I was looking forward to those legedary rides you guys got, and didn't get any. it was still very good. But nothing like the legends. SharkTums
Love the day-glo trains! The inversion through the station has to be one of the best inversions out there.
larrygator
It was a wet day and cold!!! Excellent ride, wish Intamin built more inverts.
cfc
This was one of favorite rides of the Scandi Trip, rain and all. That underground inversion is, indeed, unique.
eddie200330
So who has been on Tornado at Sarkanniemi? It was a wet day.. but a fun ride.. and the train was so bright especially with that rain filled sky in the background. Everyone is always saying the world needs more Mega Lites.......I think we should have more of these. Never ridden this ride, but Volcano makes me believe that full circuit Intamin inverts would kick ass!!!!
