A.J.
Hey everyone! In case you didn't know, for the past few months I've been in production of a guidebook for NoLimits. Well, I am very proud and extremely happy to say that production has now finished and the book is LIVE! Introducing - Understanding NoLimits A series of guidebooks dedicated to teach users about the basics of the NoLimits Rollercoaster Simulation program. Basic Edition The basic edition covers...the basics! It includes in-depth explanations of the graphical user interface, drop-down menus, and settings. It also includes convenient reference tables with common keyboard shortcuts. Finally, it includes step-by-step instructions in how to create a basic coaster design in the program, from track construction to track modification to supporting. The best part - you don't even need the full release of NoLimits to learn using the basic edition! You can use the demo release! At least ninety percent of the book's content can be read and followed along with using the NoLimits demo. The second-best part - it's cross-platform! Whether you use NoLimits Windows or NoLimits Mac OS X, you can use the book. ----- Currently available in the Kindle Store for $4.99. Amazon Prime members can borrow the book for free. CLICK HERE to see the book on Amazon! ----- New Releases of the Book will become available as the market demands. I am so proud of this project! Look at me! I'm a self-published author! NoLimits is such a fantastic program, and I want more people to be able to use it. Plus, more users equals more TPR Game Exchange submissions! AJClarke0912
Are more advanced "techniques" going to be covered? Perhaps big tips for handbuilding, supporting, or Newton. This book has a lot of potential...looks really cool. Don't really need it myself but there are a lot out there that could use it!
A.J.
I'm considering doing a "full" edition, with techniques such as complex track creation, smoothing, custom supporting, and terraforming, but only if the basic edition meets my own expectations. So far, the basic edition has fallen incredibly short. The basic edition helps users get into and understand the program while letting them go off on their own after the book's end, which is why I decided on a "basic, extend to full" strategy as opposed to a "full, remove content to make basic" one. Instead of getting less content with the basic edition, you would get more content with the full edition. Does that make sense? However, I may start production of a Newton 2.0 companion that would be released for free (because Newton itself is free).
