aLFREd_25
Over $18,500 already? Wow, that's awesome. I have enlisted a few of my friends who wanted to help and raise more money!. They are promoting themselves via social networking, around their work place, etc... If you feel like donating to them, or anyone else on the Worlds of Fun team, go right ahead! I believe there is a few participants on there that haven't met that $75 minimum. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. Keep it up!

larrygator
Team TPR is $119 short of reaching $19,000. Â Also individual TPR riders at 7 parks (CGA, CP, DP, KD, KBF, VF, WoF) still need help to reach the $75 minimum to participate. Having those riders reach $75 will bring Team TPR's total to $20,000. bubala
Team TPR is $119 short of reaching $19,000. Â Not any more! I just added another $350.00 in donations to my page that I have raised through raffles at work! Â I wish some of those riders who have not met the minimum would contact me! I have some money to help, but I do not want to post it to people who are not actually going to participate on June 10th! If no one responds to my earlier contest, I guess I will just add the money to my page. Â
larrygator
Awesome, Jason. Â I'll repost your contest since many of the participants who are short of the requirement may not be daily TPR readers. Â If you are short of your goal, all you need to do is guess the name of the coaster at Canada's Wonderland that you think was Jason's 300th coaster. Post your answer in this thread or PM Jason (bubula) with the answer. Â Â CONTEST TIME! Â I want to help a couple of Coasting For Kids participants who are STILL planning to ride, but who have NOT raised the minimum $75 minimum requirement to ride. Once again, this contest is only open to people who are planning to be at the parks on June 10th, but who have not yet raised $75. Â Here's how you can enter to win a donation from me that will take you up to your $75 minimum... Â Back in April, I went to Canada's Wonderland to take part in the Leviathan charity ride auction. While I was at Canada's Wonderland, I rode my 300th steel roller coaster. All you have to to be entered for a chance to win is to correctly guess which coaster at Canada's Wonderland was my 300th steel coaster! Easy, huh? Â Hints: My 300th steel coaster was NOT Leviathan, and I did not ride Taxi Jam while I was there. Â Rules: Only one guess per person. If you guess more than once, only your first guess will count. I will select two winners at random from all correct guesses. You have until Monday morning, May 21st, 2012 at 10:00am EST to submit a guess. If there are no correct guesses, or not enough correct guesses, I will select the remaining winner(s) from all guesses submitted. Depending on how much the winners need to get them to the $75 mark, I may pick more than two winners! Â Now that I have typed the word 'guess' so much, it has started to look weird and incorrect, so please feel free to speculate instead of guessing! Â Reply to this topic with your speculations! larrygator
Current Team TPR total is $19,457. Closing in on $20,000. Â And if you count the $25 registration fee for each of TPR's 82 participants that's another $2,000. Edited May 21, 2012 by larrygator

timberskara
Thanks guys for your kind words. Head injuries are now officially my least favorite thing; however, my doc recently cleared me for "some coasters" so I happy to share that I'll be heading to Knott's for the event. I'm really looking forward to meeting some of you there!  Last week we had a red carpet premiere for our collection of new videos that I am excited to share with you all.  The first three are Public Service Announcements (PSAs) that give a general overview of GKTW: 90 second 60 second 30 second  Posting one of these PSAs on your Facebook page might help you drum up some support for your fundraising pages!  The last eight were made especially for our future guests, to show them what they can expect during their stay. Child actress Bailee Madison, a longtime friend of the Village, was happy to fly in and donate her talents. Check it out!  Welcome Good to Know Make Yourself at Home Let's Eat So Much Fun Join the Party Tips Heading Home  As of this morning, the combined total raised across all parks and all teams was $56,633! Just look at what us crazy coaster people are capable of! Truly amazing.  Let's help our fellow TPR members meet their fundraising minimums and make this the best Coasting For Kids ever . mikeykaise
My wife asked me a question that she was curious about and since this is my first coasting event I wasn't sure. She was curious if we got off the racer to take a break from it if its kosher if we got in line for another ride or would that be considered bad form?
robbalvey
^ I think that would be considered bad form if you left the ride you were supposed to be marathoning on to go ride something else.
cfc
^^I'm not sure about the other parks, but KD is sending groups of riders in shifts--for example, an hour on I305, an hour on Rebel Yell, etc.--and using Coasting for Kids participants to fill empty seats. So, as Robb said, I don't think you can go line up for something else.
