I mean, they were really hyping up the deck party with the "anniversary cake" and I was expecting it would be like one of those giant table cakes or something, as we've seen them on other ships as part of just a regular midnight buffet, but it really just looked like someone picked up a normal sheet cake from Publix about an hour before the party. Again, just one more little thing we shook our heads at.... Oh, Carnival!  Publix cakes are WAY nicer than that piece of garbage. Hell, even Wal-Mart cakes are infinitely superior to it! Honestly, that cake picture shocked me more than anything else you posted.  That looks like something I would make - not something produced by alleged "professionals."  Oh, Carnival. The weirdest thing was when we got the debarkation information it said the EARLIEST you could get off the ship was 8am. Having been on so many cruises I found this VERY odd and told my group to be ready to go at 7:45am (we had people in my car that needed to get to work and school). I thought that would be a very interesting and fun first cruise. I looked into it some more, and they'll be sailing on a Carnival ship. Even though a band is sponsoring the cruise and I'm sure they'll be on one of the nicer ships, I just can't let my first cruise ever be on a Carnival ship. I'm going to look into some RCCL options now. Jason did this last year. Here's a look. Â This is still the only way I'd consider sailing with Carnival. I think KISS and Kid Rock do similar events every year, KISS is doing theirs this year over Halloween on the Norwegian Pearl, and Kid Rock does his on the Carnival Destiny.  All Kid Rock and Carnival jokes aside (and I know there are a lot of them), seeing any artist you like in this type of setting would be a pretty unique experience. Would be cool to see more artists try this in the future. Maybe a RCCL Lady Gaga's Monsters Cruise, or join Elton John in 2014 aboard the Celebrity Solstice for the 2nd annual Saturday Night's All Right For Cruising Cruise....  Kid Rock's 3rd Annual Chillin The Most Tour  KISS Kruise II Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I remember playing roulette with those guys in some Las Vegas casino after the show and no one had any idea who they were. Crazy to think they now have their own cruise! To wit: Â According to an article in USA Today last week, redneck culture is at its highest plateau since the mid-'90s Jeff Foxworthy craze, with shows like Hillbilly Handfishin', My Big Redneck Wedding, etc. So why not invest in some Mason jars (for drinks), change the name of a few things on the buffet (but not the food itself) and turn this ship into the world's largest (and only) Redneck Cruising Experience? They could probably tack on a couple hundred dollars per person for the "privilege" of sailing this majestically themed ship. Â And I'm only half joking. Â Seriously, if Nara Dreamland was still open, I'd happily go back just to ride Aska over and over again! Â Then again, it probably wouldn't be nearly as good with nearly empty trains, which is what I'm sure the park had all the time, except for when our coaster group was there. My last one was with Disney, and I definitely took full advantage of the food and the booze, but when it's all families, you don't get the adult time like you want. Honestly, I talked to more people in the bahamas than I did on the Cruise...wouldn't complain though, I had a blast. Nothing like being rocked to sleep drunk. I haven't been on a cruise yet (an overnight ferry, yes, but not an official cruise) but I will NOT go on a Carnival Cruise after seeing this TR unless it is with TPR or 311 cruise (or another cool band). Had a blast aboard it.... making fun of everything you guys made fun of. Glad i never got the meatloaf. But I did get the Chocolate Melting Cake every night. I think its amazing. It was perfectly cooked the first night but by the 3rd night it was just like soup. It was ok overall. If you want a great carnival cruise try the Carnival Freedom.
