New M&V & Gravity Group wooden coaster for OCT Tianjin

Recommended Posts

^Yes, Fireball still got great reviews from the TPR group which comes as a welcome surprise.

But didn't Fireball also receive a heavy re-tracking just before TPR came there? I would like to know how Fireball was running before that, as that will give us an idea of how rough this ride is (hopefully not) going to get. And on the video, there are some POV's of the ride that are much, much worse.

But that is exactly the point. No one expected them to even bother retracking the ride and keep it running well.

I rode Fireball in January 2012, A few months before the re-tracking and it was fine roughness wise.

There were one or two spots where it was a little shaky but nothing to worry about. It still made my top 3 easily. The fact they still went ahead and re-tracked it is a good sign.

I gotta get to China one of these days.

Or maybe if more American parks would buy TGG designs...

Other than these coasters, I would really like to go to China to experience the culture of the parks and see how they differ from the ones in America. I could say the same for Europe, Japan and ext.

I've been in Happy Valley like once a month since 2010 after I came to learn chinese. Fireball has never run rough in all my visits in 2011. They started retracking the ride around december in 2012 and finished around February in 2013. I have no idea why it took 3 months though. After the retracking, it was smoother, but hardly noticeable since it was never too rough.

I really like how every single El Loco that's been built has been very slightly different.

Agreed. I actually really like the El Loco concept but I do wish a few of them would be a bit longer with more unique elements. I feel like they are the US Equivalent of the Euro Fighter, but still stuck in the original "Typhoon" layout.

Hoping the one at Yomiuriland will at least be interesting.

How about some photos of the awesome looking Proslide water park?

The first Superloop's to 'go away' from each other.

Cool looking Mammoth complex with a Mammoth and a Mammoth Bubba.

I really like this complex. It's the first Tornado to face away from the splash pool, similar to how WW does with the Abyss.

Looks great!

The play strucutre looks great. It's the old design though, Proslide recently re-did their design for their play houses.

Photogenic.

I'm not really a fan of Proslide's smaller rotating bucket concept, but it looks great on this one.

There's an outdoor wave pool.

Good looking compilex.

I really feel that the quality of the colors/finish on the slides Proslide have installed in Asia the last two years is really bad. Not sure if they are outsourcing the factoring and that is the reason.

These ones could also use a good cleaning!

Another one.

Topsy Turvy's, or "Tornado 24's" as they are now called.

I love that they have a smaller play structure for smaller kids. I wish more parks would do this.

All water parks should have one of these.
