Because it is lame that's why. Boo is so, traditional. It is just one of those unwritten rules I guess. I wouldn't say it was unprofessional, just lame. We tell the Screamsters to use, "Hey!" Guests are there to have fun, but a few bad apples will think it's cool to beat up one of the monsters (they must forget that we're people). Seriously, when I worked at Fright Fest, a guest pepper sprayed me and another scare actor. Both times were unprovoked (we were waiting to scare some one else). Also, stretch a lot before hand and get some dr. scholls. Was there even a reason they did that? What did it feel like? Also from watching scare actors at CGA, the werewolf at werewolf canyon will just sit out in front of the maze sitting straight up and looking forward. You can't see his eyes and he uses the quick scare then chases a little stops and goes sits down. I stared him down once and I knew that if he wanted to scare me at that point he would of but since i was in uniform he couldn't lol. My point is that it seems like the quick scares or just sitting still letting them walk up to you and then scare them. I've also scared a person not even on purpose they were just so jumpy that when i walked by them through a scare zone they jumped. ambe_bambe Posted October 5, 2011 Share Posted October 5, 2011 I wish some of the scare actors at Movieworld took some of this advice - I went on Saturday to their Fright Night opening and everyone is saying get out and other lameties like that. It was like - wow that ok the first time I hear it but when every scare actor says the same thing so not cool. I'm considering taking printouts of this forum with me this Saturday and handing them out to all the staff, it would just make the night a little bit better. And it hurt like hell. Like somebody poured alcohol in my eye. They closed down the entire section of the park because of it, anyone in the area said their eyes were burning. Screamin_Eagle Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 Whenever I am in a haunted attraction, a quick scare seems to get the best results.. but once you scare someone, move on to another person. too many times i have had a scare actor follow our group continuing to try and scare us, it stops being fun and becomes annoying after a while. scare then move on.. I feel like it is getting better with each night, last night being the best yet. I found the best hiding spot where I am practically in plain sight, yet totally invisible. I am proud to say that I made two people pee last night, made a grown man cry, and just generally scared the sh*t out of so many people.
