Angry_Gumball
I'm sure you've seen trip reports from this weekend and have already seen what happened for the most part. Here's my take on this weekend's epic events. Before I begin, there's a few things I'd like to point out. Sky Screamer was down but testing all day. Six Flags feels that CGA doesn't like rides anymore, and in regards to CGA, the GCI project is not actually dead, though we don't have a time frame (yet). Also, I would like to thank TPR, SFDK, and CGA for setting up probably the most memorable weekend this summer...and a special thanks to CGA for letting us take a piece of Invertigo. I'll get CGA up in a bit...but until then, enjoy my SFDK report! Entering the main entrance, you're greeted with SFDK's main lineup. Unfortunately, Roar was running quite rough. After waiting an eternity at the metal detector (the guy ahead of me had a ton of stuff to go through) I get my tickets! Now, I'm on the road to my first ever ERT session. We had V2, Pandemonium, and Roar. But first, let's say hi to the penguins! Officially scored a new credit...that now brings me up to a whopping 36 or so coasters. From here, I met up with Max (aka Man) and we hung out for the day. Big Spinning Pandemonium! Next, I head on over to V2.5 for a ride on that. Other fellow members taking in a ride on the V2.5 The first of many nerd shots you will see tonight! Intamin wheel credit! One last spin on Pandemonium before the GP enter the park and take over Next, I'm sure you can guess what ride we did...the gum wall should be the biggest indicator! Next is the bi polar Vekoma coaster! Half smooth, half rough! Vekoma wheels...an early indicator to something that's going to happen for us? Me and my trademark Haunt t-shirts Up we go (ok not really, still in line) Max! The stairs are not edible! They aren't really M&Ms! (Ok, who did not see this caption coming?) Time to hit up another Vekoma, the reverse of Invertigo right down to the color scheme! Some lifthill porn for y'all! Smoothly (?) taking it's loop...actually smoother than Demon's second loop at CGA. Can't leave the coaster without it's stamp of approval! Oldschool Vekoma logo Now, we're going to visit some of the animals...starting with some ephelants! I mean Elephants! And snakes... Om nom nom... Scariest...Ride...EVER! (Seriousy it was!) Sleeping kitteh says "dont bodder meh!" Watch out, these guys can spray all over you! Now some butterflies... and some Koi... More butterfly shots ahead Who knew...last week was shark week so that means we must visit the sharks! Sharkbait? More sharks Sharktums was here too! Derp! Mine? Acers at SFDK Seal says "Gimme mah nom-noms!" Some more shots of animals before we head over to... V2.5 for a pre lunch ride! Yes, we love Intamin! Gives you an idea how fast it takes off! Just messing around with different shots now. Yet another 'nom nom' picture The long road to food! Then we got treated with snakes... possums... Parrots Penguin! And some otters! Close up of one of the otters Wait a sec! Is it....nevermind...just testing GP...lining up for a ride that's not open Medusa Lift Hill Porn! Nerd Shot! (Transfer track gear) Lift hill nerd shot Pseudo POV of Medusa's lift (taken from the exit path) A few more shots until my battery died...taking in a Top Spin Thanks for reading! Angry_Gumball
Not to double post but I want this to be easier to see the 2 days...so CGA will start now! Arrival at CGA, we're greeted by a giant schedule in case we lose our papers. Yep, I'm wearing another Haunt t-shirt! On our way to euphoria, or some ERT on Flight Gun After Top Deck Burn! After ERT, we hit up Psycho Mouse as the GP has already pouring in the front of the park. Being smart, it's best to hit up Psycho early! TPRers finishing up their ride on Psycho! Welcome TPR! We'll be back this way in a bit Ok, it's lunch time! After lunch, we all don our "Firefall-yellow" Firefall shirts for a special reason. Semi Firefall Takeover! Yes, we are proud nerds! The GP were kind of giving us strange looks. Topspin porn Through the shrub! We are next! Now we wait in front of Showtime Theatre for our special event of the day... Time to take on the Back Stage Tour! Take the tunnel! Vortex lift hill porn a new canvas for CGA to pimp out! Movin' on! Tidal Wave's station is still intact. It was said that it's common they will leave stuff up for possible future use... We can now all hope, right? Vortex lift hill porn before we leave the area See ya Vortex! So sad to see... Moving on down the road! Krispy Creme for employees today...sounds yummy! Contrary to popular belief, this shed does not lead to an underground network of tunnels as shown in BHC3. Well, am I? Demon's yellow train undergoing rehab...should be providing smooth rides next season. Yellow Intamin Kiddie Coaster "Ok guys, we are going to enter the machine shop." The welding shop. Where components are duct taped...I mean welded together! And here's some of their welding equipment Ride inspection sheets Some of the ride downtimes experienced today... some illnesses happened on Flying Eagles and Endeavor, unknown on White Water Falls, and drive problem on Flight Deck. Swing seat for the kiddy Swing ride Gearbox for the same ride Down the long hallway past the tool crib. Some animals were removed from the Carousel so they can get touched up (so they can get vandalized again). At first I thought this was a food vending machine...but it vends gloves, tape, and so on...a good way to keep track on who's consuming what. One of CGA's other hearses that has an underglow, loudspeaker and fog kit. If only it could drive like that A wood-carved animal from Ameri-Go-Round (Where Drop Tower stands now) The fiberglass repair shop...log repair in process. Ryan points out the custom made carriers for unloading Flight Deck's trains...makes it easier to transport and perform rehab on. Coaster parts? Somewhere behind that go kart is our Invertigo wheels! Yay, I now own a piece of the beloved and ever-so-missed Invertigo! "Check out my sexy new Vekoma wheel! Old Tidal Wave signage Psycho Mouse car undergoing repairs. B&M wheel cross cut diagram...intersting stuff No longer in existence at CGA B&M wheel...this sucker looks heavy! Water ride boats under repair. On the road towards Flight Deck, the grand finale of our tour. This reservoir fills up when the Rapids ride is not in use. CGA's nursery...the reason for CGA to have better landscaping than its neighbor up north. Rapids drain channel? And now the moment we were all waiting for The most unique shot of Flight Deck ever! A panoramic view of the back side of Flight Deck A clear sign that Flight Deck is running both trains today. And that concludes the tour portion. Some fellow TPRers taking in a Sky Coaster credit. 3-2-1-Fly! Arrow wheel credit! Top Spin nerd shot Do NOT molest the Snoopy sculpture! $5 full body (almost) dryer...was still damp after this. Finally, to end the night, some ERT on Grizzly! Thanks for reading!

Flagg O'Dim
Nice porn--I mean pictures! Looks like you guys had a great time! Â Interesting about Tidal Wave's station, although it's pretty far gone now to be of any use for a new ride. Makes me wonder if Paramount had some plans for it that never came to be. Â I need to get me one of the Firefall shirts, or any kind of CGA shirt for that matter. Â If there is an event next year, I will definitely be there!
