CPmillenia94
See, I actually feel like the Timberliner restraints are quite a lot like the Rip Ride Rockit restraints, but it doesn't matter because the trains are roomy, comfortable and track well. I really remember the restraints feeling kind of awkward if not a bit uncomfortable on RRR, which they are not at all on the timberliners. But yeah a u said it really doesnt matter when you are riding because everything else is so great haha. And yeah boulder dash is running pretty well this year. I only got one ride on it when i went it was so crowded though, a crowded day at LC is pretty painful.
robbalvey
I never said the Timberliner restraints were awkward at all. I find them very comfortable. But then again, I also find the Rip Ride Rockit restraints comfortable as well. The two are very similar. And I don't find that to be a bad thing at all. CPmillenia94
Actually i shouldnt be talking anyways. The last time i rode RRR 2 yrs ago was the only time lol. But yes jumboshrmp the timberliners are great in just about every way. Edit: BTW Robb with all these great hd videos you are and have been filming, are you planning on compiling them into a new blu-ray disc any time soon? Also this is probs the best pov of boulderdash out there right now. A good one was much needed. Edited August 1, 2011 by CPmillenia94
Sir Clinksalot
I'm loving seeing all these good times and living vicariously through you all. Wish we were there with you and we didn't have to back out. Guess Deep South Bash will have to suffice (for now). Thankfully this is my last of "this type" of project and we can sign up for a trip for next year with no fear of having project dates changed like this year. Working our asses off. And if you're not happy that you haven't gotten an update TWO DAYS after an event happened, then please sod off our website. Oh, and BTW, did you check our Facebook page? A.J.
I completely forgot that GCI came in and worked on Boulder Dash. I wish more parks up in forests and on hillsides would take advantage of the terrain for their coasters. It seems a lot of the enthusiast community's favorite coasters are terrain ones, like Lisebergbanan, Boulder Dash, and the late Eagle's Fortress. Hilltopper39
Thanks for all the Updates Robb, it's funny you compare the Timberliner Trains to Hollywood RRR trains because that is exactly what I though when i first saw the concept drawings of those things a couple of years ago. With all of the positive reviews so far of the Timberliners from Quassy and Grona Lund I can't wait to see how they eventually handle on a larger coaster like the Voyage and maybe Hades. jray21
Drunk Piers is always amazing. Loved the 'more friendly stupid people' warning at the beginning of the video. Can't wait until someone still complains about the language The park looks like a lot of fun, and in a great setting! Awesome update!
eddie200330
It may be just me, but does anyone else think that Boulder Dash is an overgrown, albeit a very good one, version of the Idlewild Rollo Coaster? BTW, it sucks to not be able to do the whole trip, but really looking forward to Hersherypark on Sunday!!!!
RoCo
This is great, great stuff; so glad to hear Boulder Dash is in top form and those Timberliners look SUPER-SEXY running on the Wooden Warrior! OMFG, when they get them running on "The Voyage..." *faints* Also: Laura's "Most of them" quote on the news = Also: I almost spit water all over my monitor when I scrolled down and saw the shot of Robb and KidTums on the Trabant. If TPR ever buys billboard advertising, that's the shot to use.
QueerRudie
OK- the Be-ert looks amazing- granted, I've never met anybody who could out drink ME under the table... Mrlittle
Boulder Dash really does look awesome. I think Travel Channel should play Robb to make there videos. This video was way better then the one for Bert The Conqueror

BaMiTsPaT
Damn I was going to head there friday afternoon to ride Boulder Dash, but my dad didn't want to go because it started to drizzle, and so we turned around and headed home! I didn't even know that TPR was going to be there. What bad luck

raptor6
OMG I love Boulder Dash!!! These pictures are bringing back so many great memories! The only time I rode this mountain coaster was way back in 2007. I got to the around 6pm, got on all the rides I wanted, and then pretty much marathoned for 2 hours at night. Incredible! Easily my number 1 overall! Now I must find an excuse to make the 10 hour drive out to Connecticut again...

ernierocker
Theme Park Review's North East USA Tour has begun! Keep up to date with this thread for the most recent updates, or if you want to follow us LIVE during the trip, subscribe to our Facebook and Twitter pages: Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/themeparkreview Twitter: Time for another update! Which means it is time for Six Flags New England and Bizarro Bash!! On to the photos! Welcome TPR Members to Six Flags New England and our first ever Bizarro Bash! And we're off! Faster than a speeding bullet! And with this being Bizarro Bash, of course there is plenty of ERT on Bizarro! TPR is ready to go! What a beautiful day to be riding Bizarro! Lots of riding with very little waiting! That's what ERT is all about. In 2009, "Superman: Ride of Steel" was transformed into Bizarro. And it's been voted #1 steel roller coaster in the world for many years! TPR is ready to ride! TPR loves Bizarro! Full train + Empty queue = Awesome! Bizarro was flying for morning ERT, can't wait for tonight! For our North East Tour members, we got them all Flash Pass Q-Bots to help beat the lines! Follow these instructions and skip the lines! "Now that's a box full of love!" This makes a good day AWESOME! DO NOT EAT THE Q-BOT! THEY DO NOT DIGEST WELL! Double Flash Pass! Bizarro Bash ERT didn't just end with Bizarro...we also had Water Park ERT! Thankfully, the park warned the other guests. These photos cannot be un-seen! Typhoon water coaster is awesome! One more time! Typhoon is a ProSlide Rocket, an impressive slide with great airtime! That's a lot of man boob! Airtime!!! These high speed conveyors launch the boats over the next hill. Awesome ride! Yo Gabba Gabba YO! Wet vegans!!! Time for ERT on Tornado! TPR members seem to go higher than normal guests.... Huh.... Grab your raft and go! Keep riding! We have more ERT! This group nearly flew out of the funnel! They only lost one TPR member. It's the birthday girl! You get one clover leaf raft! This is not a Dave approved sign. Yes! Favorite park!!! Even KidTums was loving the water park. "Daddy, I love the big slide!" One of the nicest looking chair swings at any park. I might have ridden this, but I don't remember. Fitting they put TPR in the pub, because we had... Free beer!!! How many TPR members like free beer? SFNE park president, Jason Freeman gave the group a presentation on the park, answered our questions, and welcomed TPR to Bizarro Bash. Next up was TPR QUEST! We are playing for this awesome crap! First, Robb does a rap... I mean, eats a wrap. Here are your 2011 TPR Quest Contestants. TPR Quest is simple - Robb tells you an item to go get, and the faster you go get the item from someone and bring it back to Robb, the more points you earn. "Bring me a human wheelbarrow!" TPR Quest is sometimes a little chaotic! Another human wheelbarrow. Canadian Nick is the winner! "Bring me back someone with the best man boobs!" The final quest was to bring up the person who could chug a beer the fastest. The winner will get 10 points added to their score. Get ready... Skycoastin' Steve chugs an entire beer in about 3 seconds! "Hooray! I won Mr. Six!" "I didn't play the game because I was too busy drinking beer!" We went to go check out the new "topper track" on the Cyclone. It was a bit smoother... And our Flash Pass protected us from any long lines. To be honest, it's hard to tell how much the topper track really helped. These dudes thought it helped. Houston, we have your flat ride. Bizarro is what we came here today for! Airtime over all those hills. Here's the "new hotness" at SFNE. SIGNATURE SHOT!!! How's it going Mr. Park President? Robb Alvey and SFNE Park President, Jason Freeman are the newest members of the Justice League! Time for Bizarro Bash backstage tour! We had an awesome photo walkback to get the best possible shots of the ride. I wonder what this looks like from the top of the drop! Following instructions... The tat pack is back in "Tramp Stamp Trouble 2!" Yes, we are all nerds! The photo walkback really allowed you to get some GREAT shots of this ride! Nope! Can't get this shot unless you're on a TPR trip! Beautiful weather for Bizarro Bash today! We got up close and personal with Bizarro! And even got some great shots of Batman, too! Bizarro was really running AMAZING today! The locals told us it was really in top form, especially during night time ERT. I can see why many people vote this coaster #1 in the world! SIGNATURE SHOT! WHOOOOOOSH!!!! Random TPR group photo! Another random group photo! Or you're totally insane. Night ERT on Bizarro is about to begin! Now the ride is running INSANE MODE! BIZARRO IS FREAKING AMAZING!!! See that blur? That's Bizarro! SFNE did something totally awesome for TPR during night ERT. The Gotham City Gauntlet water challenge! Hold a cup of water - see how much you have left when you return! Your remaining water will be measured at the end of your ride. And you're playing for Bizarro road wheels! Needless to say, you might get wet... ...probably soaked! Let's hear it for the first ever GCG water challenge! Our WINNER!!! Ok, technically TPDave and Fudgey are winners too...but we all know they are losers! Here's our hard core group that made it all the way to the end! THANK YOU SIX FLAGS NEW ENGLAND!!! And remember...if you want live updates on the TPR North East Tour be sure to follow the TPR Facebook and Twitter pages! And most importantly...POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!
