Hockeyman55
^ Thank you. Ended up taking about 400 pictures that whole day at Busch Gardens and over 1000 the 3 day weekend we took between BGT, Universal and Sea World lol.
Dleo
Woah, first oppourtunity to sit down at the computer after getting back from Florida last night. Â It was great seeing some recent new friends again from the past summer and making a few more brand new ones too. Â Having been to Busch Gardens just a few years earlier I was surprised to be reminded just how awesome Kumba and Montu are. Both were running exceptionally smooth and fast, especially Kumba since I remember it being a bit rough my last visit. Such great early B&M's. It was also great to see Montu behind the scenes and do the walkback, while the coaster was running!!! Â Cheetah Hunt is really a great coaster. Each ride you can't help but to like it more and more. It's not the most insane of coasters but it has plenty of great elements that are fun to shoot through. It has a good balance of hills above ground and trenches below ground. Definitely a new favourite and I loooove the train stylings. Â It was also my first time really partaking in a "haunt" event. All the houses were incredibly cool. Â I have to say Busch Gardens Bash was a great big dollup of awesome sauce on what turned out to be a great jaunt down to Florida for the weekend. Definite kudo's to Robb and Elissa for getting things together. Thank you! Â I also agree, Hockeyman55 great pictures!
jjune4991
I think the bash was great! A little...unexpected. Â In all seriousness, it was great. Enjoyed my time with old friends and new. It was great to be a part of TPR's first Florida bash.
aimster
HA! Glad to see someone else got photos of the tortoise porn too! That had to be the funniest thing all day. I was cracking up at the parents lifting their kids up to see over the fence. Â Here are some of my photos from the day: They're changing out the OTSR on Montu from yellow to black. Kasi is the cutest cheetah EVER! Group photo with Big Bird before taking over Air Grover (because we're sad and pathetic). Chad, Shawn & Logan got soaked on Stanley Falls! Steve and Joe got MORE soaked! Shawn feeding a wallaby at Walkabout Way. I love this section of the park. Lunch time! VP of Engineering & Design, Mark Rose, talked to TPR during lunch. This is my "serious" pose. It's Jesus gorilla! Hot tortoise lovin'. And the bird apparently wanted in on the action! We had a great driver at Rhino Rally. I think his name was Doug. He was really funny and had us laughing the whole time. KUMBA!! Could it be? OMG! It's Piers!! I'm a roller coaster nerd and DAMN proud of it! This was actually my 2nd time taking the Montu backstage tour and Norman was my tour guide when I took it a year ago! "Please don't eat me, Mr. Tiger!" These monsters during Howl-O-Scream were awesome. Scary-ass zombie hobo clown! One advantage of Howl-O-Scream: Outside of Cheetah Hunt (which had a posted 110 minute wait at 10:30pm), lines for the other coasters were almost non-existent! Steve and one of the Naughty Nurses The Vampire Casino maze was really well done. And... $2 Blackjack! Yay! Gotta love the Fiends show! Shawn and his spiffy new zebra beanie hat! Wonderpup and Ice Bat finally meet!
Moose
I'm surprised that only Cheetah Hunt had a line. Two years ago every coaster had a crazy line once except for Kumba, and that was only because the crowds hadn't reached the back of the park. Hockeyman55
^ Later in the night the crowds reached the coasters in the back. We rode Skeikra around 10 and Kumba around 10:30. Sheikra's line was crazy busy and Kumba was fairly busy but not as packed as Sheikra. We used the front of line passes for the coaster's and walked right on all of them, it was a beautiful thing lol
dragonskeep
2 things I have learned that are absolute fact: Turtles like to mess around and Kumba makes living better. BGT has a killer coaster line up but can you imagine that place with a big freakin Intamin woodie. Will anybody please build another El Toro except with more twisty bits at the end. robbalvey
I think the bash was great! A little...unexpected. LOL! We have been quoting this all week on the cruise!
SuperShawn
The bash was really a great event, thank you to Busch Gardens and TPR for arranging a fun day for us. And if I'm not mistaken there was even some Gramma Rose thrown into the event.
IneedTPforbunghole
And if I'm not mistaken there was even some Gramma Rose thrown into the event. There sure as shit was. Lol. I wonder if Robb's gonna post a PTR of his own. It's been a few days. Forgotten Addition - Oh wait, he's on a cruise. When he gets home, I'll bet he'll post his BG PTR and his PCR. robbalvey
^ I will do a proper trip report from the bash and the cruise, but in the meantime I have posted about 300 photos to TPR's Facebook page. Link is below.

cfc
Busch Gardens Bash was excellent--thanks, again, to Robb, Elissa, and BGT! Cheetah Hunt is a helluva good ride, the backstage tour of Montu was great, and Howl-o-Scream was a lot of fun (especially the roaming hordes of zombies). And the Fright Feast show had dancing Jager bottles!
crazydaveh
I honestly am mad at my wife for having to go out of town for work and not allowing me to attend as my almost three year old hates it when I ride coasters that she can't! She cries every time they deny her at the Hulk entrance!
BarryH
Busch Gardens Bash was Red Dawn Awesome! I did have problems with my annual pass (credit card for EZ Pay was messed up) and I got a little sick at around 3 and missed the HOS tour (due to about 3 hours of sleep the night before), but no one is to blame for that except me. I finally got to ride front seat on Cheetah Hunt. I'm glad we got the front of the line passes for HOS. I was seeing hour long lines for the houses all night. Nevermore hit 2 hours! Crazy! Â When is the next Busch Gardens Bash? I would also attend the Legoland Bash, whenever that is.
downunder
^Barry, you've completely destroyed my faith in restraining orders. Â Sounds like another solid year at HOS

Hockeyman55
Now that I have had some time to dive into all the pictures I took from the Busch Gardens Bash I have stumbled upon a couple more that came out decent. Enjoy Montu assembly line Pretty flamingo Yum . . . grass Top of the Cheetah How dare you take a picture of my bad side!
