PAL
Great trip report! I'm hitting many of the same parks next month - your photos are fun as well as a big help. Thanks! A couple of questions about WOF. Is that spinner a Tony Hawk / Pandemonium clone or a custom installation? The invert is fairly recent. You compare it to Talon (loved it). Where does it fall on the B&M scale? Hopefully it doesn't completely lack intensity a la Silver Bullet (which I also like although it' s no Batman). thrillrider
^ I think the layout of the tony hawk, and dragon coaster are slightly different but not by much. Either way, they are both fun. The invert was fun, but not as intense as others I have been on. I would have to rank it in between silver bullet and talon. It just seemed to be slower and the inversions were far apart. Still a fun ride, just not my favorite invert.
thrillrider
that's what the save_draft is for (to make a copy in between when doing a big post/upload) Not sure where that is?
PhantomNick
I'm really enjoying this trip report! I've always thought that Worlds of Fun looks like a fun park. There's similarities there to Dorney Park, which for me is a good thing, as I like Dorney a lot. Oh yeah, and great photos as well!
thrillrider
Thank you. Keep an eye out for a lot more pictures in the next day or two.
thrillrider
Yet even more pictures.. I still love these old rotor rides. My daughter did not dig the ride so much though. One of the mazes was just sitting there. It looked like you could just walk right in. At this park they are cheese bites. At other parks, they are cheese curds. Classic octopus rides are always fun. The parks log flume was very popular. See...log flumes are still very popular. The station. The final drop. Bamboozler. Station. Panda express has a pre-set menu. Timberwolf Station shot. You must be a wolf to ride. They were only running 1 train today. Not so smooth track. In case you change your mind, they have a chicken exit. Looks like he is trying to pinch one out. One more large update in the next day or two.
thrillrider
Today I am going to post the rest of the worlds of fun pictures in 2 parts. Some right now, and some later tonight. Like I said before, this is the best looking of all the cedarfair parks I have been to. One of the parks several shows. Where have I seen this garbage can before? You can tell that this is a cedarfair owned park. Lets take a look at the new planet snoopy. They have a show located in the large gift shop. Something about snoopy smacking a hoe down. They have a lot of the typical planet snoopy attractions that you will find at other cedarfair parks. They have these really cool slushy machines where you make your own mix of flavors. My daughter loved this attraction. It's full of these foam balls that you load into giant cannons. You can shoot people with the balls.Could not get my daughter to leave this. They also have one of those new kiddie swing rides. They also have several other rides for the kiddies. They also have a spook house for the kids durring holloween. Hot summer lights. Out of the other 3 light shows at other cedarfair parks that I have seen, wof had the best. Time for a ride on the sea dragon. The ride operator put this cup of water on the ride and left it there. It stayed put durring the entire ride. Never spilled a drop of water. Bamboozler at night. Every weekend durring the summer, the park has fireworks, To be honest, they were pretty lame. The last update to this report comming tonight.
Amy Baby
My two favorite coasters at WOF are Prowler and Spinning Dragons. At least they had a sports bar and we were able to watch some of the Tiger game in there.

thrillrider
This is the last update to this trip....enjoy. Geauga lake fans rejoyce. This is the merry go round from geauga lake. It looks like a new ride. The more you know...... Freshly painted boobs. New platform, and all the horses went thrue a hevey refurb. The detail they put into the horses was wonderful. The "british" themed show was decent. My daughter was part of the show. It was so hot, we actualy did the water rides. They have the haystack dryers. It even takes credit cards. Fury of the nile water ride. You don't really get wet on this ride. Found this in the gift shop. Theming at a cedarfair park?????? And cool landscaping too. I forgot to add this shot of fury. It was so hot, they had tempery fans set up. The coasters dinner at wof, has pizza and.... Pictures of cedarpoint coasters. On the way home we passed by the home of the last place Kansas city royals Busch stadium And back past the St Louis arch. I hope you enjoyed this trip report. My next trip report will be from east coast bash, sf jersey, kennywood, and conniot(sp) lake.

805Andrew
Yea, $5 is crazy. Thank you. I would do it for a dollar if I was soaked but not more than that. If they charged $1 for those things instead of $5 I bet they would get more than 5x the usage and they would make more revenue that way. Did you see anyone use that thing? thrillrider
It was so hot out, that it felt good to be wet. I did not see anybody using it the entire time we were there.
