cal1br3tto
...I am kinda split on Schwarzkopf coasters (probably get killed for this)... It's okay. Don't tell anyone, but two of my least favorite coasters are Schwarzkopf. In fact, I've only ridden one I really liked (Monte, but I must say Revolution was also really charming). I guess only the loopers appeal to me.
ParkTrips
I have been intrigued with Mindbender ever since I rode Olympia Looping at Oktoberfest two years ago. I am kinda split on Schwarzkopf coasters (probably get killed for this), because I wasn't all that impressed with Scorpion, Revolution (would love to have experienced lap bars) and Sooperdooperlooper, but loved OL and the Shuttle Loops.. In my fanboy* opinion, Mind Bender is on the same level as Olympia. Very different ride experiences, but both are among the best coasters I have ever been on. * Schwarzkopf fanboy, not Six Flags FWIW - I didn't really care for Revolution or SDL, but I do still like the little guys like Scorpion
Snowboard246
Where are they putting this new coaster? I have been twice and can't really see where they would put it.

shivtim
A few construction shots from 2/19. Still no vertical construction, but it looks like all of the footers are done. Toro#1
^haha agreed! Visited here in July, what a great place This is a nice, unique addition to this park, a massive place for B&Ms and now they put in a nice, compact steel coaster like this, going to look great when it's done! jynx242
^ agreed! I've ridden them, but never seen one built. They do go up quickly! I think someone mentioned this earlier in the thread, and they weren't kidding.
oriolat
Wow, they are really hurrying the construction. Hopefully track will be completed in two weeks or less.
shivtim
Looking at the webcam, the ride is now topped out. I've also noticed that SFoG's website says it opens "late spring," with no reference to memorial day. Their facebook page also says "we have not announced the exact date." Maybe it'll open sooner than memorial day weekend? Edited March 18, 2011 by shivtim
Hilltopper39
At that rate it may be done by Wednesday
coasterbear30
Yeah, they have done all of this in just a week's time. I can't believe how fast it is going up.

Mr. Starr
Anyone go this weekend? Just curious how the park looks this year. According to their Facebook page, a lot of guests were unhappy with operations on Opening Day [saturday]. It was only opening day, so there were probably some kinks to work out, mainly with the Flash Pass system as that seemed to be what people had problems with. traincrossin
According to my friend who was there, it took him a hour to park, 30 minutes to process his season pass, and then 2 hours to ride Goliath with a posted ride time of 90 minutes and very few switchbacks open. Seems like SFOG wasn't ready at all.
almightyfire
This was the WORSE park operationally that I had eva been to.
thrillrider
Just about every park I have been to on opening weekend, has had bad operations.
