Lotologist492
In looking at the new 2019 map (pdf); I noticed a few more new things: -Membership lounge (looks like it is in the former Miss Dixie Depot) -new on-ride photos for Mindbender -new 'refill stations' scattered around the park I will be there this weekend - weather permitting! CoMeDyDuDe619
Just a heads up for anyone planning a trip to SFoG tomorrow, March 9th. It will likely rain throughout the day. Bring Umbrellas. Or nothing if you're me and don't care because it's just water. Have A safe trip! Edited March 9, 2019 by CoMeDyDuDe619

SFOG1991
I’m curious how busy it is today as I’m considering heading over there later in the afternoon if the weather holds up.

It’s not all that busy. It is opening weekend though so most rides are only running one train.

SFOGchick
Not busy today for opening day! Ride lines aren’t bad at all, although most are running only one train. Here are a few pics of Scorcher in repaint mode

I’m on the fence but wouldn’t mind going for some night rides before the time change!! Go ahead and go for a little while. The parking lot doesnt seem to be filling up any more and theres no line at the front gate. I saw some people talking about the Scorcher being painted. I’m not sure if it’s news or not but it’s still closed today.

jlp94
I love that! Anyone know if it should be open by the end of the month?
SFOGchick
The sign is awesome. We thought it was hysterical. Thank you for posting it...let’s hope this new paint job is done PROPERLY so the horrendous peeling doesn’t occur again! On that note, I wonder how long it will be before they get around to repainting poor sun-bleached Goliath
Aceattack52
That sign is effing hilarious. "We heard you complaining so we did something we should have done without you complaining about it" When I was walking past the sign today some young lady voiced her opinion on the ride being closed to be painted and how it was a “stupid reason”. It’s complaint-ception

southpuddle
I do wonder if this is primer or the actual new color scheme. White and gray would be very non-SF.
PKI Jizzman
That's how Six Flags is meeting in the middle. We asked for fresh paint so we're just getting a fresh coat of simple white paint haha Bold prediction: new name - La Flama Blanca
The username
First trip report of the Season! This was my first opening day so I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the crowds weren't too terrible for a Saturday. A brand new sign above the fountain was a great surprise. And now... Scorcher Paint shots! Looks so much better For the debate on whether Scorchers paint job is all primer or the finished product, the white looks to be primer while the grey could be the finshed product as it's glossy compared to the flat/matte color of the white. In other news, Goliath Games is gone! Was kind of disappointed that the only progress on Pandemonium has been land clearing and a sign, guess that's Six Flags for you. Nothing to see here... While all the track from the train has been cleared away, they're definitely reusing the old station. Work has started on the Screampunk theming. Sadly there was no backwards Scream Machine, but they did re-track some of the rougher parts, probably the best ride I've had on it in years! Splashwater Falls sits and awaits its demise. Overall a great start to the season, can't wait to go back again.
