STDog
I always felt the roughness was part of the woodie experience. The retracked/topper ones I've ridden while nice, just didn't feel like a woodie. No way I'll believe the classics from the golden age were smooth like modern topper tracked woodies even when new. I want that nostalgic experience. It's bad enough we've lost so many classics (wood and steel) to maintenance, bankruptcy, and progress (needing the space for new rides). DrachenfireOP
Cyclone is one of the few rides I've ever been on where I thought "is this thing going to hold together?" It's one thing to have a rough ride, but it's very disconcerting feeling the seats shift laterally away from your feed as you're vibrating along like you're riding a 70s era washing machine with a cinder block in it. JT325
I wouldn't be opposed to them bringing in GCI to re-track Georgia Cyclone and to slap some Millennium Flyers on the ride. It would be nice if GCI came and did that. Has Six Flags ever had GCI fully revamp a coaster? If so how long ago was it? In reality I don't think it would happen anytime soon. It sure would be nice though. Ewww... I'm not a fan of this idea personally. GCI had a tendency to remove many of the best parts (air time) of coasters, especially any noteworthy drops. They have removed a great amount of the airtime on Yankee Cannonball and the small (but wonderful!) kick going over the first drop of Legend is now gone. And we don't need to go in to the Coney/Luna park debacle. Ugh. I mean, those coasters are smoother now, but there is a way to make a woodie smooth with out removing the best bits; you don't have to do both at the same time. Also, those GCI lap bars really PIN you in your seat. I love Mystic Timbers and their new coasters, great and fun rides, but I'm not a fan of of what they do to older rides. People complain about PTC trains due to the "old design," but that simple 4 running wheel design is what gives many of our favorite woodies their KICK. The lap bars can be a pain, but no trains are perfect. Buzz bars for all! And lose those pesky headrests.

Or they could just use a wrecking ball to do its magic.
nannerdw
The VR on Acro was so blurry, I could barely tell what I was looking at. Was there a way to adjust the focal length on those goggles that I just wasn't seeing? The VR goggles didn't seem to be very popular addition, either. Less than half the people on the ride were using them. Also, it's a little funny how you keep "falling" for a few seconds after you've hit the brakes. Maybe they designed the animation with Zumanjaro in mind?
voyage_thrills
I just recently went to the park this weekend and the operations were decent. I noticed scorcher has awful operations and very very bad paint job, which I hope doesn't lead to a floorless. I think this may be the best and most comfortable stand up out there, but if SF were to start converting, I think this one would unfortunately be first. Also, Georgia Cyclone got stuck on the lift hill quite a few times and I didn't ride because the ride is unbearablely rough from all my experience. Please come RMC! I think that the floorless conversion, any kind of RMC, or a S&S 4D coaster will come here next year. I really hope this park also eventually gets a GCI so we can finally have a really good wooden coaster. The GP were crying and shouting on superman, "I want to get off... ahhhhhh!" DoinItForTheFame
...Was there a way to adjust the focal length on those goggles that I just wasn't seeing? Yes. There is a scroll wheel on the top of the device that allows you to adjust the clarity.

Canobie Coaster
It was also B&M's last stand-up so maybe they figured it out in the end. Georgia Scorcher has excellent pacing but doesn't become painfully forceful like Riddler's or Green Lantern.

It's also shorter in length than those two, which probably helps with it not becoming painfully forceful. I personally love Scorcher and think it's the third best ride in the park, it's extremely underrated.
carolinaman
I went to media day yesterday at the park for Justice League Battle for Metropolis. Here are a few pics I took. The whole Metropolis area looks really good. I like how the area has been opened up Superman Ultimate Flight looking good with fresh paint Part of the queue line Also in the queue line At the loading station The gift shop/exit Your picture is taken and as ypu exit it shows you everyone in the car and their scores

PixelRush
As much as the red-blue-yellow scheme has been representative of Superman, simple red and blue can be immediately identified and looks cleaner overall. I hope they implement this color scheme into more of the Superman coasters in the future!
CoasterDirected
I honestly thought the first picture was a rendering, that section of the park looks gorgeous. I've only been once and it was 2015's HitP so I wasn't able to get down there/couldn't see anything in the back half of the park. Literally got scarily dark once you go past Goliath. Canobie Coaster
That area looks fantastic now that it's open. I can't wait to try one of these Justice League shooting rides this summer.
EliHorton
Looks great! I love these Justice League dark rides! Even though they make me a little nauseous........ I think the parks that got them this year really needed them. Six Flags Over Georgia needed that ride to give something else to the area of the park that it is in. Six Flags Great Adventure needed another ride in that section of the park other than the Dark Knight coaster. And Six Flags Magic Mountain just needed anything air conditioned. beenagins87
How are crowds on Mothers Day?? My sister is a nurse and has to work tomorrow, so we did our whole Mothers Day celebration earlier this week, I usually tend to avoid bring a friend free day unless they happen to fall during the week. The only other Holiday i've ever visited the park on has been Easter, and it's a great time to go. I hate long long lines, so I kind of want to get Justice League in while it's in the preview stages this weekend.

Vonni
How is the progress on JLBFM? I understand there is still quite a bit to go on the SFGAd and SFMM versions. EDIT: Nevermind. I just saw the media day post on the previous page. Man, it looks good!
Lotologist492
Justice League BFM season pass preview day was amazing! I have to admit there were no real surprises for me as I have been riding the SFoT version since 2015, but Georgia's version was fresh, and the queue was more immersive. The ride actually malfunctioned on our first ride - got stuck near the second to last 3D screen for about 10 minutes. The interior lights came on during this time and gave us an unusual look at the ride's interior, including the ravaged office scene. All in a day's work though - ride ops gave us a re-do. Line was not terribly long but it was long enough to take in the video backstory on the myriad of monitors. Actually - waiting in this line is part of the attraction! Thinking in another direction - I have noticed there is no longer any live stage entertainment during the summer, particularly in the Crystal Pistol. That building will remain unused until Fright Fest. With all the hype over this fantastic new indoor (air conditioned) dark ride, what about musical shows? They were once a staple at SF but I guess that harkens back to Warner Bros' ownership days. The POP-40 ('14) and Mixtape ('15) shows were really good. No summer shows in 2016 though. Anyway - I LOVE IT when the weather man is wrong. Sunday was a great day at the park with nice weather and no lines, not even in the food establishments. Can't wait to ride JL:BFM again..... thefed29
Hey guys, will be at the park for the first time next Friday while visiting family. Naturally making sure I get a trip into another park while I can. Pumped to get some laps on Goliath, as Nitro is the only other B&M Hyper I've been on and the love that ride. I'm also excited to try out the Justice League ride. I should have access to a flash pass no problem, as I have a connection for that, but my main question is does anyone know if they've announced that Justice League will be on Platinum flash pass only? Many thanks in advance!
