BiCoastal Kid
I think it'd be better if they enclosed it in a tunnel of nets, because you can always throw stuff off to the side, and imagine the headchoppers and sense of speed!
ncf
Then it would look even more ridiculous, but it would probably be cool to ride...
BiCoastal Kid
I'm, like, the only person alive who likes the look of the net things along side of the track.
coaster_type_of_person
I hope it goes over these hills faster than Apollo's Chariot.
spaminacan11
I'm, like, the only person alive who likes the look of the net things along side of the track. No, I actually like it too. I think it makes the ride look unique. The ride is looking GREAT, and I can't wait to ride it.

coasterguy618
Wo, constrcution is going really really fast. It looks so much fun! BTW, anybody have more construction pics of the other Goliath at La Ronde?
socalMAN123
What's surprising me is that I think the construction for Goliath started after Tatsu's, yet it is going up a lot faster. Anyways, great update, I wish I could ride this in April! ---Brent 8)
trustkill22
Ya but Tatsu has alot of terrain to work around so... But it is really looking pretty Nice word to describe it.
jarmor
is it me but are those nets pointless. Listen...if the train is moving at very high speeds and something flys out of my pocket...it isnt gonna go straight down in the nets its gonna go straight up in the air and probably not even get remotely to the net. I think its just there so the people on the ground can feel "safer". Jarvis "top gun @ PCar has only one net and the whole coaster is basically built over people!" CoasterCrazy
^That picture looks awesome, I hope those hills have a lot of airtime!
lexington
Wow, its kinda big.....I thought it would be small according to the rendering.
rjholla2003
Well, anything looks big when it's going out of the park like that. Sure, it is big, but they are definitely using the "out of the park" trick to enhance it a lot. The lift hill facing the road, the largest feature other than the lift on the other side of the road, it's all very intimidating.
rollerdude
The drop looks like it will have some amasing airtime. I don't know about the second and third hills. They just may pull some ejector air but I doubt it. That turn looks like it will pull some massive Gs between the second and third hill. I too think the nets look kind of cool. socalMAN123
I love how the ride tracks go over the road. Those hills better have some insane airtime! ---Brent 8)
woah_killa
I was just wondering...does anybody know the angle of the first drop?
Mind Eraser
I think I read on another board that SFoG's Goliath has a 68 degree first drop, while La Ronde's has a 70.
TwistedTrack
I cant wait. B&M Hypers are the best! (Unlike Intamin! MUWAHAHAHAHA) even though ive never been on an Intamin Hyper
coasterzak
Coastercrazy, what time were you there on Tuesday? I was there the SAME exact day and took a bunch of pictures as well. I was travelling by car back from Orlando to Ohio. I think we were there at about 1PM. Did you see any crazy enthusiasts running around with cameras? It's incredible how this ride dominates the skyline. I like what I'm seeing so far. I can't wait for the coaster event in April.
Jordan Shankman
I was at the park today, and they added the bottom-out track section after the third drop. The helix should be going up VERY fast....It looked like they had all of the supports on the grounf ready to go. Also, there were two track sections lying near bye. Dude
When are they starting the construction of the helix, that thing is going to be awesome. I'm suprised how fast the construction is going at the moment. Looks pretty cool so far.
CoasterCrazy
Coastercrazy, what time were you there on Tuesday? If I remember correctly I was there around 10:00 am! The helix should be going up VERY fast....It looked like they had all of the supports on the grounf ready to go. I will be taking more pictures as soon as the helix is almost finished. BiCoastal Kid
GOing by recent B&Ms, it will probably have floater air on the first few large hills, the bunnies at the end are too short for the air not to be more intense. I doubt it will be be ejector, but very comfortable pulling air, instead of a yank like Intamin air has.
coasterzak
Wow Coastercrazy, I just missed you then! We had to drive all the way back to Akron, OH. It was a terrible drive and it didn't help that we were screwing around in front of a closed park. The last pic I have is of the footers where the helix will be. I can't wait for this coaster!! Anyone else going to the event in April?
