Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 11, 2011 Share Posted May 11, 2011 Sorry it's taken so long for me to get the pictures of this place on TPR; my computer's been a pain in the for the last month. Magic World is a small theme park located near Naples, Italy. It's one of the largest theme parks in the Campania region, drawing the audience that can't go to faraway parks like Mirabalandia or Gardaland. With a decent selection of flat rides and thrill rides, 3 small roller coasters, interesting food (including the famous Nutella crepes!), and not-quite-as-cheesy-as-the-park-name-makes-it-sound theming, Magic World is a good family park with some thrill factor. I'll let the photos do the talking. Parking costs? It all depends on if the guy is there or not! Skyline doesn't look too promising... The admission system to this park is slightly unusual: It's not a 'pay one price, enjoy all attractions' system, nor is it a 'get in free, buy tickets' system. You pay 4 Euros for admission, but need to pay an extra 10 Euros for an unlimited ride band. If you'd just like to come into the park, it only costs 4 Euros, but if you want to do any rides (other than those on the list), you need to pay the full 14 Euros. After you walk through the entrance, you're immediately greeted by Mr. Genie and the park's Zamperla mini-tower. I look excited now, but I'm sad to say it had even less airtime than an S&S Frog Hopper. "Yeah! Napoli just scored a goal - Oh, I didn't notice you there. Welcome to Magic World!" The waterpark, which isn't open now. Map of this side of the park. Ferris Wheel. Magic Shop, where the employees are talking on their cell phones! Do I spy... a Wacky Worm? New coaster! W00T! Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 12, 2011 Author Share Posted May 12, 2011 Part 2. As you make your way around the park, you'll notice a very unusual mix of theming... ...and names. Dumbo ripoff. Adventure Land. Aladdin. Ride sign spells it differently, though. Back to Adventure Land. Or Rodeo? WTF IS IT CALLED?!? Balloon people and clowns retreating for the break room. And now, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for something slightly disturbing... It's a train ride called Rio Grande, but that's not the worst thing... Cheesy American theming?... Not yet... It's when they get to Native Americans that they really screw up! Shoe: The Ride! Once again, time is keeping me from posting more. I'll post Part 3 tomorrow. Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 14, 2011 Author Share Posted May 14, 2011 Part 3: The upcharge section of the park, with bumper boats, a bouncy trampoline, a playhouse, and some kid sized ATVs. We notice this pizza thing and decide to take a picture. Giostracavalli. The African Safari themed car ride. Mom and dad had to pose with the elephant! "RAAAWWWRRR! I am a hippo! Give me your firstborn!" I didn't even know they had one of these! Is this called Stonehenge or Ranger? Onride 'Ehhhhh!' shot. 3.14 Rodant! Crazy Mouse. I rode alone. It was a fun ride, though. I didn't need to worry about the 'clench & squish' ordeal. The snack stand that sells 'American pizza' (pizza with fries and sliced up hot dogs on it) and Nutella crepes! This place is just full of win! It's amazing how something so simple and delicious can be made in just a matter of moments with some pancake batter (I believe) and some Nutella! If you continue behind the waterpark, you can reach the newer, more thrilling part of Magic World. You can also get a few interesting shots of the waterpark through the gaps in the fence hedge. At the end of the path you immediately notice some slightly more thrilling flats. The bumper cars. 1001 Nights style ride. It's straight up awesome! I personally enjoyed it. Beemerboy is totally jealous! This car has a sticker from a place that satisfies both of my main interests. The log flume. Skloooshhh!!! Random Italian kid blows a kiss at me to be funny. I blow a kiss back in good humor. He looks at me strangely as if I'm a creeper or something. I laugh and walk away. This thing is called a Panini Pub. Based on the pizza I saw, it should just be called an American sandwich. This shot made me happy. This thing looked pretty insane... long lines and a lack of interest kept me from riding. Mega Drop My current Facebook profile picture. A rather sketchy looking ride I noticed on our way down the path. Waaaaait.... This isn't a Morgan Hyper! The Italians are certainly digging the Box! There's a lot of room for expansion over here.... Anyways, back to the coaster. It's not very big or intimidating but then you remember that this is a small park and it does its job pretty well. Onride. It wasn't bad, but these cars were definitely 'Clench & Squish' material. GIANT ROLLERBLADE OMG! Happy Sailor. Yet another weird name... A couple more coaster shots. Airtime, perhaps? Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess Posted May 14, 2011 Share Posted May 14, 2011 Is that Mars Attak ride one of those that spin around and tilt and everyone sticks to the side because of centripetal (it's not centrifugal) force? That "Ranger" ride looks like the Vekoma version (the HUSS one doesn't have OTSR).' Is it just me, or do a lot of the smaller foreign parks all tend to look similar? You'll see in the next part. I'm not sure which version of the Inverter that is, but all I know is that I prefer the Zamperla version over it (a rare Zamperla preference over any other manufacturer). I wouldn't quite say they 'look' similar, but they seem to have a similar feel to them: not quite outdated or old school, but not all concrete-jungle Six Flags megacoasterland either. Anyways, the final part of the report. Drop tower vertical shots are my favorite kind of shots. Perhaps I'll try it next time? BAWWWW!! TEAR DOWN THE TOWER!!! What could be in there? They were playing The Time by the Black Eyed Peas through the speakers! Who would've guessed that Italians love American music? Dueling flumes! Entrata - Entrance Uscita - Exit There, you've learned a little Italian today! Laying on your back will only make you MORE wet! This flume has a camera, too! The line for the bumper cars isn't too long, but I decide against riding. Wassup, dawg? Crazy Mouse UPSIDE DOWN!! It's still 3.14 Rodant to me! Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the main event. No, not this again. Not this either. Yes, it's this! Ding ding ding! This has to be one of the most insane rides I've ever ridden! Loud music, no restraints, very hard bouncing, and a rowdy crowd; I've never ridden anything like it before! Painful for guys, but I still recommend it fully! The ATVs were being driven. This place lights up at night! They have a random park worker begin singing along with the kids. A nice way to get spirits up! *Grows 2 feet shorter so he's short enough to ride* Winnie the Pooh behind the scenes! Where's the Stratosphere?!? The wheel lights up nicely at night. Help! Get me out of here! It's nomming on my hand! LOL! Things keep getting weirder and weirder! Various toys. Final photo of the wheel. My camera ran out of battery right after this! Thanks for reading!
