mike_kelly
Timberwolf at Worlds of Fun. They say it's kind of rough but its not that bad to me. Son of Beast - Everyone bitches about this one. I loved it every time I rode it, with and without the loop. Must have been good days.
The Yeti
I'll say Gwazi. Even though I was a little disappointed with the new trains, I remember some great rides on Gwazi..and then to those who say Ice Dragon is better than Fire, you are wrong! mlimardi
The Predator at Darien Lake Everyone says that it is too rough, but it isn't that bad anymore after all of the work they did on it.
Jew
I'd have to say Deja Vu. The towers were terrifying enough to offset the rough nature of the ride.
RideofSteel
Goliath (SFNE)- I loved the ride...I didn't feel any roughness. Rolling Thunder- Yes its a little rough, but it's still a blast to race with friends on both sides. Boomerang (Elitch)- I really had fun on the Boomerang. I was riding front row, so I didn't notice any roughness. Plus, a one train wait helped.
Tanks4me05
-Every Boomerang I've gone on (six so far.) Yeah, they're a LITTLE rough, but if you quit being a pansy you'll realize that they are actually very intense. -Shockwave, KD: A little punchy in the lead in to the helix, but otherwise it was actually really smooth, and had a lot of airtime and pretty good G's. Just make sure to ride a not-wheel-seat and you are good. -Wild Beast (CW), Minebuster, Predator, HP Wildcat, Gwazi: They are rough, but I'd call it very very bouncy, not painful like Coney Island Cyclone. And they also deliver exciting rides in my opinion (they are not my number one rides, but I still thoroughly enjoy them nonetheless and will make sure to ride them every visit.) Geauga Dog
In no particular order: 1. Ninja at SFOG. Vekoma put a lot of coaster in a tight footprint with several moments of head choppers. I didn't experience any headbanging since my head cleared the OTSR. I also really like the look of the butterfly element. 2. The Vekoma Boomerang family (including Invertigos and GIBS). 3. I finally got to ride Dark Knight at SFGAm this year and I was shocked at how good a standard Wild Mouse ride could be. All the mice I've ridden are usually braked so hard that it kills the momentum. Dark Knight was brakeless and insane in the dark. Some people thought it was strange that I rode it twice. 4. Shock Wave at SFGAm and not because it was a walk on when everything else in the park had waits. It had one of the coolest first drops and I liked the long rise up into the first loop. 5. Drachen Fire. I only got to ride it in its opening year and loved how unique it was for an Arrow coaster.
Jhcbiinoc
I can think of a couple-I don't think anyone really "hates" these, but I know they're not on many favorites lists: -Silver Bullet at Knott's, still in my top five. I think out of all the coasters I have ridden I have been on this one more times than any other, mainly because I used to live very close to the park for so many years and spent most of my hours there on this and Xcelerator. -Scream at SFMM. I don't mind the parking lot. Sure, it would be nicer if it were landscaped, but I still enjoy the ride. It was in my top five until it got pushed down after I rode Wild Eagle this year. coasterbear30
^ I agree with both of these. Just rode them both 2 weeks ago and Silver Bullet is my 4th fav invert now and Scream is a great floorless. I don't care much for floorlesses and having ridden Medusa and Bizarro, I didn't expect much but it was actually better than both of those. cfc
I think "hate" is a strong word for Silver Bullet; "indifferent" might be closer for many enthusiasts.
Taylor Finn
The backlot stunt coasters. I know nobody hates them, really. But if they patched up the special effects, (even a bit) they would be a blast. The one at King's Dominion makes excellent use of terrain, even for such a small coaster. It is just awkward going into the show room and waiting for nothing to happen. Dragon Mountain-I really enjoyed myself on this when I went 5 or 6 six years ago. Granted, it was like a two hour walk to the back of the park. The coaster actually being plopped down on top of the 'mountain' is really pretty sweet. A unique layout, nothing too intense or exciting, but definitely fun.
Kafka
Ninja-Six Flags St Louis. I really dont think this coaster is as rough as people make it out to be. The transition out of the half corkscrew is a bit rough if you dont brace for it and the helix is a bit forceful, but the airtime on the first drop is great. I have an abusive relationship with arrow coasters so maybe ignore this one. Iron Dragon Cedar Point- I dont understand the hate for this ride at all. Its not the most intense coaster ive been on, but the way its built into a small wooded area in the middle of Cedar point is breath taking. This ride is amazing for the view alone. Flight of Fear Kings Island-Ill admit this ride has gotten rough, but the launch is still quite awesome.
Tanks4me05
1. Ninja at SFOG. I can't believe I totally forgot this. I rode in the second to last row, and I found the ride to be really great; loads of headchoppers, an aesthetically beautiful ride (seriously; all the curves makes it a modern art sculpture in my eyes) and actually quite intense. And in the seat that I rode, it wasn't too rough.
Noporian
well i love this coaster in linnanmäki called Salama. Its that spinning one and i love it it's so awesome but for some reason everyone says its very jerky and not fun at all, but i love it dont find it jerky at all. Some people just seem to say its jerky because once finally when a person like that rode it, afterwards said it wasn't bad, and then tried to make up excuses again. But i love it. caffeine_demon
I'd also say Saw at thorpe park - All I seem to hear is "it gave me a headache" and "I felt like it was gonna shake my brains out", but I haven't had a bad ride on it, little bump on the first drop, other than that it's awesome! Also - Wipeout (boomerang) at pleasurewood hills - actually think it gives a great ride! Another one which most people seem to hate is rita - it really has grown on me! KBrylczyk
Another one which most people seem to hate is rita - it really has grown on me! I think that's mainly because people were expecting something bigger after the other Intamin launchers. Rita, at the time, seemed underwhelming in the wake of something like Storm Runner. While I haven't ridden Rita, I have ridden its clone, Desert Race, at Heide Park. I love the damn thing. It's compact, twisty, fast, and fun! Sure, it's not a huge ride, it isn't super long, but it gives you a great adrenaline rush and pulls some big forces in a tiny footprint. Even though it was raining during our ERT I still rode that thing a ton. My eyes stung a lot, but it was still great.
Xcoaster
^ Yeah, I liked both Rita and Desert Race a lot. LOVE: * Steel Dragon 2000 / Morgan hypercoasters - I loved Steel Dragon 2000, and I really like most of their other designs. * X2/Eejanaika - They can be truly rough, but I love them. * Saw - One of my favorite Eurofighters. Granted, I only got one ride on it, so maybe I was in the smooth seat, but it was easily my favorite coaster in the park. * Grizzly @ KD - I've seen a few good reviews for it, but most seem to dislike it. It reminded me of CCI's better smaller layouts. * Air @ Alton Towers - This seems to get the worst reviews for the B&M flyers, but it's one of my favorites (along with Manta). * Blue Streak @ CP - It's not really hated, but I was getting some awesome airtime on this while I was there last time. LIKE: * Disaster Transport (RIP) - I really liked it, and it made a nice change of pace from the other coasters. * Viper @ SFMM - I usually have pretty smooth rides on it, and I love the layout. * Space Mountain @ DLP - It rides the worst of the Space Mountains, but it's still fun, and I love the theming. * Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit - Not sure it's hated, but I thought it was a lot of fun. G Force was ok too, just odd. * The older GCI's (Gwazi, Wildcat, Roar) - They're a bit rougher and less eventful than some of the newer designs, but I still like them a lot. * Thirteen -Probably not hated, but it got a lot of negativity at first. I thought it was a great ride. NOT THAT BAD: * Predator @ Darien Lake - I thought it was pretty good. * Sierra Tonante (RIP) - It had a pretty uneventful layout, but I still liked it enough to ride a few times. * Psyclone @ SFMM (RIP) /Cyclone @ Astroworld/Georgia Cyclone - They're all a bit rough, but I still like them. * HellCat @ Clementon - I thought it was decent. SingleRiderCam
I actually liked Manhattan Express, it's just that its rough and it slams your head to the side, other than that,

Andrewoplis
I actually really like Magnum XL 200 at Cedarpoint. I wasn't sure about this ride when first went on it, but It ended up being one of my favorite coasters when I got off!
simaticable
I love Georgia Cyclone. It's a little rough, but isn't that what a wooden coaster is suppose to feel like. I'm glad that RMC went in and retracked some portions, but I'm hoping that more is retracked over the off season.
mark549
Scream at SFMM. Sure, the parking lot needs something planted in it (like Goliath) but it's a good ride when it is running well. The Dive Loop through Zero G Roll is excellent. (I still like Medusa more but that section of the ride is my favorite.) It's my favorite Zero G roll I've been on, better than Medusa West, Silver Bullet, Batmen, Talon, Raptor. Great Bear.
tarheelblue55
I really like Thunder Road and Nighthawk at Carowinds.
Vekoma_Man
I have a warm spot for Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis. It was my first big coaster.
alpengeistfan1
I thought Manhattan Express/The Roller Coaster was not actually terrible. It was jerky and hang banging, but riding it at night provides a very cool atmosphere with all the lights in Vegas.
