Many mid-high range video cards on the market today have some sort of TV output. If you want something that can both capture and output standard video, look for something like ATI's All-In-Wonder. On my primary PC, I have a video card with VGA/DVI/HD/TV output and and an ATI HD Wonder TV capture card.

Alternatively, you can go all digital with a DV camcorder, a DVD burner, and a 1394 connection

Alright it's time to get serious, the Video Card of your Dreams is the new NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GXT.

This card runs at 430MHz, and its 256MB of DDR3 memory is clocked at 600MHZ!!!

With the resolution cranked to 1600x1200 and with 4x antialiasing enabled, the 7800 GTX delivered 54 frames per second with Doom 3!!! YES!!!

Though the down side is that it cost as much as some brand new computer systems! $600.00

Chances are your video camera and computer have a Firewire port. Premier and most all video editing software support it for capturing.

If your computer doesn't have a firewire port then you can buy one for real cheap - Like around 30 bucks.
