tiger01
Birds' new seafront des res gives them plenty to crow over!ONE family has enjoyed its visit to Southend's Adventure Island so much it has decided to move in. Crows have built a nest right at the very top pf the pleasure park's 75-foot high Rage rollercoaster. With its terrifying drop, loops, twists and 360 degree barrel roll, the ride is generally better know for the thrills it offers than for its comfy living quarters. However, the feathered family seems determined to stay put and Adventure Island's engineers say there's no reason for them to leave. Robert Roberst, The park's general manager, said: "We noticed the birds building a nest and moving in a couple of days ago.We watched them flying back and forth all day.The park is open daily at the moment. That means Rage is running from 11am until early evening, but it dosn't seem to worry the crows at all. And they must be real roller coaster dans-When the cars go by they keep shouting out 'Corr!' We're leaving the nest as it is as it's perfectly safe for both humans and for the birds." Article from my local news paper the Echo
Angry_Gumball
That's awesome! I'm surprised a coaster flying through the loop doesn't scare off the birds.
Solid Gold
I heard Alton Towers was going to try to use these birds' resilience as a defense to their NIMBY case.
